Immortal-Exterminating Divine Venerable

”Y-Yang Xiao? Is it really you!”

As Ye Wanyu walked out of the Inner Realm, Yang Xiao was completely blindsided. The girl who should have been glaring at him with fury was, instead, wearing a look of delighted surprise.

Seeing him standing before her, she acted as if they were long-lost lovers reuniting, throwing herself into his arms.

She sobbed, ”I... I thought I’d never see you again...”

But seeing this unfold...

Yang Xiao couldn’t help but frown. He pushed Ye Wanyu away and said coolly, ”What... is this act?”

”You...”

Ye Wanyu’s anger flared instantly.

Back in the Inner Realm, when she had sensed that Yang Xiao was on the verge of death, she had been overcome with grief and sorrow.

In that moment, the girl had finally realized that she didn’t actually hate Yang Xiao that much.

It was just jealousy.

Before, she thought she was jealous of Yang Xiao for taking her sister away.

But now, she knew the truth.

That wasn’t it at all.

She was jealous that her sister could rightfully become Yang Xiao’s wife, his Dao companion. Because of the Ye Family’s ancestral teachings and Grandma Lio’s decree, they would be the official heirs of the Ye Family, but she could not.

Even though Grandma Lio had eventually said she hoped Yang Xiao would take both of them.

But that guy still wouldn’t even give her a proper look.

So, she was jealous.

And resentful.

She desperately tried to sabotage the relationship between her sister and Yang Xiao.

But in truth, a seed of love for him had long since been planted in her heart.

Otherwise, no matter how much Ye Wanyu might have hated Yang Xiao back then, she would never have come up with a plan to pose as her sister and dual cultivate with him, intending to subdue him while he was lost in passion.

After all, a young woman’s honor was at stake.

In a Martial Arts Family, a girl’s honor is paramount. What’s more, the Ye Family was a former Emperor Race, so they naturally cared even more. If a seed of love hadn’t already been planted in her heart, how could she have treated it like a child’s game?

Even if this seed of love was planted for somewhat inexplicable reasons—perhaps simply out of jealousy, or a habit of wanting to take her sister’s prized possessions.

But once planted, it was planted.

It could still cause heartache.

It could still bring sorrow.

Just like the anguish she had felt when Yang Xiao was in danger before.

But now...

The perpetually sealed Inner Realm had suddenly opened. With the sorrow in her heart yet to fade, Ye Wanyu had stepped out, full of apprehension, and the first person she saw was Yang Xiao.

She was so overjoyed.

She forgot everything else, wanting only to throw herself into Yang Xiao’s arms and have a good cry.

To pour out her feelings for him.

But this guy... he was actually so cold to her.

He pushed her away.

Ye Wanyu’s heart was instantly overwhelmed with sorrow.

And filled with utter rage.

She stared at Yang Xiao, too hurt to speak.

Seeing this, Yang Xiao said, ”You know, I was going to let you go even if you didn’t play the victim. There’s no need for this trick. Besides, you probably don’t know yet, but the entire Profound Sun Continent now honors me as its master. There’s no one left who will help you deal with me. So, if you want to keep causing trouble, I’m afraid you won’t find any supporters.”

”I’m playing the victim? I’m causing trouble?”

Ye Wanyu felt incredibly wronged.

Her gaze could have spit fire.

But Yang Xiao acted as if he didn’t see it.

This girl was a massive headache. Of all the women whose auras had mingled with his, she was by far the most troublesome. He didn’t want to get tangled up with her any further.

If not for the fact that she was of the Ye Family’s bloodline and Ye Wanqing’s younger sister...

Yang Xiao would have long since washed his hands of her.

Releasing her now was just to settle a matter.

He had no desire to know what she was thinking.

So, with a raise of his hand and a point of his finger...

The Netherworld Power that had originally belonged to Ye Wanyu instantly flowed back into her body. Her Divine Pill, which had been completely depleted, was suddenly full of life.

Her cultivation jumped several levels from the Small Divine Power Realm Third Level.

Soaring straight up.

She reached the Small Divine Power Realm Ninth Layer Peak.

Ye Wanyu was instantly stunned.

”Alright, I’ve returned your cultivation to you. Go find your sister now. Of course, if you’d rather wander around outside, that’s up to you!”

After speaking, Yang Xiao turned to leave.

”Wait!”

Snapping out of her shock, Ye Wanyu saw Yang Xiao about to leave and grew anxious. In a flash, she appeared in front of him, blocking his path.

”What do you want now?”

Yang Xiao’s brow furrowed.

”I... I... I want to go back and see my sister, but what is this place? I don’t know the way at all! You... you have to take me with you.”

Ye Wanyu looked a little scared, but she stubbornly finished what she had to say.

Although she was furious.

And annoyed.

But after Yang Xiao not only returned her cultivation but also boosted it by so much, Ye Wanyu found it even harder to let go of him.

Besides.

Their auras had already mingled!

In a way, she was already his woman, his Dao companion.

’Hmph, this guy can forget about trying to cast me aside, no matter what.’

’I’m sticking to you now!’

Ye Wanyu secretly swore in her heart.

Yang Xiao looked at her feigned fearful expression and his frown deepened. Still, he considered it. This place was indeed quite dangerous.

The Burial God Celestial Abyss was a place that could kill even a True God.

’I’ll just do it for Ye Wanqing and the Ye Family’s sake.’

Yang Xiao had received many favors from the Ye Family, from Ye Tianjue to Ye Lio. Although he really disliked Ye Wanyu, the girl was no longer a threat to him.

He had drained her cultivation and locked her up for so many days; escorting her for a bit was no big deal.

’As long as this girl doesn’t run her mouth in front of Ye Wanqing, it’ll be fine.’

Yang Xiao thought to himself.

He nodded. ”Fine, I’ll take you part of the way. But you have to agree to one condition.”

”What condition?”

The moment Ye Wanyu heard Yang Xiao agree, her bright little eyes lit up and fixed on him.

The intensity of her stare made Yang Xiao a little embarrassed.

After all, when this girl wasn’t causing trouble, she was actually quite beautiful. And compared to Ye Wanqing’s overly reserved personality, her lively nature was, in fact, more endearing.

However, Yang Xiao had experienced this girl’s willfulness, arrogance, and troublemaking firsthand.

He remained deeply wary of it.

He was unmoved.

He said coolly, ”When you see your sister, don’t mention what happened between us. Just say you went out to clear your head and happened to run into me. Understand?”

”You don’t want my sister to know that our auras mingled... no, that I was plundered by you?”

Ye Wanyu’s eyes went wide.

They darted back and forth, as if she had just thought of a brilliant idea.

Hearing her words gave Yang Xiao a headache.

He had lied to Ye Wanqing back then. ’And ”plundered”! Ugh, while that was technically true, there had been a reason for it, okay?’

’Besides, is it really appropriate for a young lady to be talking about auras mingling and being plundered all the time?’

But Ye Wanyu’s next expression...

...pleased him.

”No problem. I’ve thought it through. I was just testing you before. Now that you’ve said you’re the master of this continent, a status like that is worthy of my sister. I won’t cause any more trouble, I promise!”

After speaking, Ye Wanyu even held out her small, delicate hand, wanting to high-five Yang Xiao.

Naturally, Yang Xiao had no intention of high-fiving her.

But he was very satisfied with her current attitude.

”I don’t know if you’re telling the truth or not, but I’ll take your word for it. Anyway, I’m leaving. Now, don’t resist. I’ll take you back to see your sister.”

With that one cool remark, Yang Xiao grabbed Ye Wanyu’s arm.

In a flash of movement...

...they vanished.

He, however, did not see...

...that as he grabbed her, the little minx gave a sly, triumphant smile.

She looked just like a little fox that had successfully stolen a chicken!
