Immortal-Exterminating Divine Venerable

”Young Master, these are the men from the Yan Family I’m close to. They’ve all decided to pledge their allegiance to you.”

Upon being summoned by Yang Xiao, Yan Chixiao immediately brought the dozen or so Daoist Tier Cultivators who had followed him to present themselves.

He was now far more subservient than when he had first submitted. He looked at Yang Xiao with a fawning smile plastered on his face.

Just like a true slave.

The dozen or so Daoist Tier Cultivators following behind him also wore ingratiating expressions.

With the exception of a young man who bore a striking resemblance to Yan Chixiao, the rest appeared quite docile.

Yang Xiao, of course, knew why.

Having had their Immortal Dao Will stolen, their situation as Immortal Cultivators only grew more desperate with time. Now, they had heard that he possessed a method to halt the decline of their Immortal Cultivation, and perhaps even convert it into Martial Arts Cultivation. That, combined with the Poison Pills Yan Chixiao had fed them, meant that as long as they weren’t complete fools, they wouldn’t dare disrespect him.

Still, Yang Xiao just gave a faint nod and said to Yan Chixiao, ”You’ve done well. Once I refine the Pill that converts cultivation, you will be the first to take it. Now, tell me, how many pockets of resistance are left in the Yan Family? I intend to wipe them out.”

’Wipe them out?’

Yan Chixiao’s heart leaped in shock.

He never imagined Yang Xiao would be so audacious.

But then he recalled the powerful figures he had met upon his return—their auras were profound, suggesting they were experts in the Martial Arts Demi-God Realm. With that, a flicker of understanding crossed his mind.

’With powerhouses like that backing him, the old Yan Family would have had nothing to fear. But the Yan Family now... I’m afraid their chances are slim.’

But while Yan Chixiao thought this, the others did not necessarily agree.

Some of the Immortal Cultivators, in particular, couldn’t help but feel a flicker of contempt when they sensed that Yang Xiao had no aura whatsoever.

But they had ingested the Poison Pills from Yan Chixiao. So even if they felt contempt, they wouldn’t let it show on their faces—at least, not until they had probed Yang Xiao’s true strength.

They might not, but someone else would.

”Wipe out the Yan Family? What a boast. Anyone who didn’t know better would think you were a Martial Arts True God.”

The sarcastic voice rang out.

Everyone present turned to look.

It was the young man who looked so much like Yan Chixiao.

”Chiyun, what nonsense are you spouting?”

Before Yang Xiao could even open his mouth, Yan Chixiao erupted in anger, snapping at the young man.

Some of the others, however, broke into amused smiles.

This young man, Yan Chiyun, was Yan Chixiao’s biological younger brother. He had always been arrogant, relying on his talent and the way his older brother, Yan Chixiao, doted on him, and he looked down on everyone else.

And now he was openly provoking their new master.

At this, many of them felt a sudden urge to sit back and watch the show.

This was especially true for those who hadn’t taken the Poison Pills willingly, but had been forced into it by circumstance. Naturally, they harbored some resentment.

They also held a grudge against Yan Chixiao.

Seeing Yan Chixiao’s own brother stand up to Yang Xiao filled them with utter delight.

It was a chance to probe the true strength of this new ”master,” so why not let it happen?

Especially since that guy Yan Chiyun was notoriously unruly.

’Let’s just see how this little drama between the two brothers plays out.’

Sure enough.

After Yan Chixiao rebuked him, Yan Chiyun, far from backing down, put on an aggrieved expression. ”Brother, don’t tell me you’re just blindly agreeing with him because you swallowed his Poison Pill? Wipe out the Yan Family? My Yan Family has survived for generations. Does he think an Alchemist with no cultivation can just ’wipe it out’? Does he think he can destroy my Yan Family with a bunch of former Mining Slaves who’ve only practiced Martial Arts Skills for a few days? That’s ridiculous! Or... is he planning to make us turn against our own family?”

As Yan Chiyun finished, his eyes, fixed on Yang Xiao, were filled with mockery.

’In my opinion,’ he thought, ’my brother just fell for this guy’s dirty tricks. That’s the only reason he’s working so hard for him, even dragging me into this mess.’

’But I’m not a coward like my brother. Control me, Yan Chiyun? And wipe out the Yan Family? He’s dreaming! I should just take this guy down right now. I’d like to see how tough he acts then, and whether he dares to withhold the antidote for my brother!’

As for the miraculous Pill his brother Yan Chixiao had described—the one that could supposedly halt their cultivation’s decline—Yan Chiyun had never seen it and remained deeply skeptical.

He also figured that if he could force Yang Xiao to hand over the antidote, he could just as easily force him to produce these so-called miraculous Pills, if they even existed.

’What’s there to fear?’

’He’s just a mere Mortal.’

’What can he do besides play around with poisons?’

”You... how dare you!”

Yan Chixiao was both shocked and furious.

He never imagined his own brother would betray him like this, at a time like this.

Yan Chiyun didn’t know what Yang Xiao was capable of, but Yan Chixiao knew all too well.

’If he wanted to kill me... ’

’...it would be effortless.’

Not to mention the four Demigod Level Martial Arts Powerhouses currently on site.

It was just that Yan Chiyun and the others had been quartered immediately upon arrival. To avoid conflict, Yan Chixiao had forbidden them from going out.

As a result, they were completely unaware of this fact.

Instantly, Yan Chixiao felt cold sweat pour down his forehead.

He hadn’t followed Yang Xiao’s orders. He hadn’t given his own brother the Poison Pill.

Originally, Yan Chixiao had thought that since it was his own brother, he could be trusted. At the very least, he would obey his commands.

But now this had happened. In an instant, Yan Chixiao felt the chilling presence of death.

’What do I do?’

His mind reeled in turmoil.

At that moment, Yan Chiyun, still oblivious to his brother’s terror, said arrogantly, ”Brother, just relax and watch me. See how I take this guy down. Once I do, you can have as many of his antidotes and those ’miraculous’ Pills as you want. Why stoop to being someone’s slave?”

With that, Yan Chiyun actually made his move.

He strode casually toward Yang Xiao.

Seeing him approach, Yang Xiao’s expression remained indifferent.

He showed no reaction at all.

But it was this very lack of reaction that terrified Yan Chixiao even more.

He knew that if he didn’t handle this properly, there was only one path awaiting him and his brother: death.

At this thought, Yan Chixiao could no longer restrain himself.

His body flickered.

He tried to block his brother’s path.

But Yan Chiyun seemed to have anticipated this.

The moment he moved, Yan Chiyun moved too. Pushing his Body Technique to its limit, he flickered past his brother, Yan Chixiao, and appeared right in front of Yang Xiao.

He raised his hand to grab.

He reached for Yang Xiao’s shoulder.

His eyes were filled with smug satisfaction.

’Keep up the act, you fraud. This Young Master will rip that hypocritical mask right off your face and make you kneel and beg for mercy!’

But just as he was reveling in his triumph, a figure suddenly appeared before Yang Xiao, raised a hand, and struck.

An immense force instantly crashed down on Yan Chiyun.

It sent him flying.

When they saw who the newcomer was, everyone present froze in stunned silence.

Even Yan Chixiao, who knew Yang Xiao better than anyone, was a picture of stupefaction, screaming internally, ’What... what is happening?’
