I’m really just an NPC

Chapter 136 Leave me alone

Chapter 136 Leave me alone
filthy filthy~
Lin Fan drove his motorcycle to the outside of Dongning City.

As soon as he entered the military defense area, Lin Fan suddenly felt that the atmosphere was different.

Everyone seemed tense and busy, and teams of Dongning City soldiers with live ammunition were shuttling back and forth around.

According to yesterday’s plan, Lin Fan came to the warehouse, the leek breeding ground...cough, the interaction between the player and the NPC, and stayed for 5 minutes to sell skills.

The players are all there, they know when the beast horde will break out, and they all prepare supplies and rest in a calm manner.

But there were very few people who bought things, and Lin Fan had almost nothing to gain, because those who wanted to buy things had already bought them yesterday.

After staying for 5 minutes, Lin Fan said: ”Warriors, the situation is not good. This time the beast horde should not be avoided. I hope you can bravely kill the enemy and survive. See you here on time at 6 pm.”

After speaking, Lin Fan walked to the forefront of the military defense line alone.

If you want to complete the [Blood Massacre] mission, you must hide behind.

Lin Fan walked straight into a spacious room, where soldiers and soldiers wearing military uniforms of Dongning City were coming and going, very lively.

Lin Fan walked to a place where ”Warrior Service Area” was written, and passed over his Warrior Card across the counter: ”Lin Fan, please register.”

The military department did not arrange for all warriors in Dongning City to participate in the battle. Warriors who were not assigned tasks had the right to freely choose whether to participate in the defense of the city, and those who participated could get additional subsidies.

The task is also simple, soldiers against soldiers and generals, the main job of warriors is to fight monsters.Powerful monsters appeared in the beast tide. Once they broke through the defense circle, they would be dealt with by warriors.

”Okay, Master Warrior.”

A heroic female soldier took Lin Fan’s warrior card, quickly registered Lin Fan, and then handed Lin Fan a special communicator with positioning function, ”Thank you, Mr. Warrior, for joining the battle. If you have a mission, dispatch will contact you via communicator.”

【Ding! 】

[You triggered the A-level commissioned task ”Guarding Dongning City”]

[Mission reminder: Dongning City is suspected to have a beast tide, follow the command of the military department and guard Dongning City]

[Task Reward: For every hour of mission execution, one thousand experience points will be rewarded, and 500 Dongning coins will be rewarded]

[Evaluation: Hourly workers who are paid by the hour]

Not bad task, 996 worked hard for a week, and was able to gain a total of 6000 experience points and [-] yuan, which is simply a blessing.

”It turned out to be an A-level mission. It seems that the beast horde came with bad intentions!” Lin Fan lay on the counter, unconsciously rubbing his fingers against his chin and began to think.

A-level tasks are difficult!
Since Lin Fan traveled, he has received two A-level missions. These two missions were both triggered by being hunted down by members of the Wang Consortium, and each time they were close to death.

For the first time, he was blocked in the Great Barren Mountain by people from the Wang Consortium. If it wasn’t for Lin Fan who came up with the dragon root stimulant, Broadcom would have escaped, but Lin Fan would never have escaped.

The second time, the Wang Consortium simply sent a mid-level sky warrior to chase and kill Lin Fan, and a hidden peak B-level monster was watching it covetously. If Erha’s father hadn’t appeared out of thin air, Lin Fan and Botong would have to explain where he was.

To sum up: Lin Fan survived the two A-level missions not by strength, but by luck!
Therefore, the A-level task is extremely difficult, and it is accompanied by a huge crisis that can threaten life.

Dongning City will suffer!

The monster siege would last for four full days. Lin Fan felt that this wave of beasts might even hurt the foundation of Dongning City and affect everyone in Dongning City.

”Master Warrior, Lord Warrior, I have registered for you.” The sweet voice of the female soldier rang in Lin Fan’s ear, interrupting his thoughts.

”Ah, yes, thank you, for Dongning City.” Lin Fan came back to his senses, took the communicator, thanked him and left.

The female soldier looked at Lin Fan’s background in a daze, and the image of Lin Fan rubbing his chin and thinking just now appeared in her mind - so handsome!
Time passed, and soon there were only 20 minutes left before ”Monster Siege”.

The special communicator that Lin Fan received began to broadcast emergency military information.

”A total of eight beast hordes were discovered. Everyone followed the command and concentrated their forces toward the designated location.”

Lin Fan followed the command in the communicator and arrived near the designated battlefield. At the same time, he glanced at the independent company of warriors composed of 108 players from a distance.

Lin Fan has the identity of a warrior, and he is quite free on the battlefield. When he is not assigned a task, he can move around at will.So he took the initiative and quietly followed the 108 players as an escort.

Leeks, if left to grow wildly, will not grow well. They need occasional care and watering to grow vigorously.

”Please note that the vanguard of the beast tide has arrived 6 kilometers away and has started artillery bombardment. All members of a group are ready for battle.”

One group refers to all the combatants on the outermost perimeter of the defensive circle, and further inside are the second and third groups.Dongning City has prepared three layers of defensive circles for this beast tide.

”80% of the animal swarms are rats, and no flying beasts have been found appearing in groups.”

Mice are one of the most common and tenacious creatures in nature. Since the catastrophe occurred more than 50 years ago, various types of mice have undergone mutations, and the number and types of mice are extremely large. At the same time, rat swarms are also one of the most common animal swarms.

Lin Fan stood on a watchtower, with a red knife and a ghost sniper rifle on his back, and looked into the distance with a binoculars, and found that the scale of the beast horde was really huge, like a rushing tide.Compared with this animal swarm, the rat swarm in Pojuncheng was just like a play house, no wonder Broadcom dismissed it as a rat chaos at the time.

The beast tide has reached the attack range of Dongning City’s heavy weapons, and the defensive cannons began to fire, exploding fireworks one after another within a range of about five kilometers.

Five minutes later, the communicator rang again:
”Everyone pay attention, everyone pay attention. The situation is different. The beast tide was not dispersed by the giant cannon. The rats seemed to have a command and rushed towards the defense circle. Please pay attention to all members of the group. Free shooting is allowed.”

Lin Fan stood on the watchtower, using the binoculars to take a panoramic view of the beast horde.

Generally speaking, when the mice are attacked by artillery fire, they will definitely panic and flee in all directions. But this time, all the mice overcame the gunfire and headed straight towards Dongning City, without even turning back, just like Dongning City is a big sweet and delicious cake.

”Sure enough, the system is messed up. Monster siege, monster siege... It’s the same as a plot mission. Is this reality or a game!”

Lin Fan muttered in a low voice, put away the binoculars, jumped down from the observation deck, and picked up the ghost sniper rifle in his hand.

The first wave of beasts came.

It’s getting closer, it’s getting closer, dense swarms of rats approached within two kilometers of the defense circle, Lin Fan put his eyes on the scope, and cooperated with [Investigation] to find a big rat. This is a level LV9 poisonous fur mouse, with toxins in its hair, it will itch unbearably when touched by humans.

Lin Fan aimed slightly and pulled the trigger.

The bullets are ordinary sniper rifle bullets, and Lin Fan is not afraid of grinding the rifling and barrel of the ghost sniper rifle at all.The products produced by the system must be high-quality products. The material of the ghost sniper rifle is F grade. Compared with the ordinary sniper rifle, the life span is more than a hundred times longer. It is wear-resistant and durable, and it is very reliable.

huh~
The bullet flew through the air, and hit the poisonous mouse’s head, blasting out a cloud of blood.

【Ding! 】

[You triggered the A-level random mission ”Guarding Dongning City”]

[Task Tips: An unexplained beast wave occurred in Dongning City on a huge scale. Please stay in Dongning City for four days and guard Dongning City]

[Mission Reward: For every hour of mission execution, 1000 experience points and [-] Dongning coins will be rewarded]

[Mission failure criteria: more than 50 hours away from the 2km range of Dongning City. 】

[Evaluation: Hourly workers who are paid by the hour]

”Heh, tui! The reason for the ghost is unknown, it’s not your computer playing tricks!” Lin Fan spat, and fired another bullet to kill a beast above LV5.

But having said that, defending the city once can actually trigger two missions, and there are double rewards to be taken, Lin Fan is quite happy in his heart.

After fighting this battle, the experience earned is not only enough for Lin Fan to complete the advanced task, maybe it can also allow Lin Fan to advance a few levels.

da da da da~
After paying countless corpses, the beasts approached within 1.5 kilometers and entered the range of the Vulcan heavy machine gun. The 108-hole Vulcan heavy machine gun roared and fired a torrent of steel, smashing the beasts rushing to the front.

Lin Fan’s eyes suddenly lit up, this thing is great! With this thing, he is sure to complete the requirements of [Blood Massacre] LV5~LV10 in a very short time.

The mere five thousand is really an insignificant number in front of the Vulcan heavy machine gun with a firing rate of more than 600 per second.

The Vulcan heavy machine gun was mounted on the gun tower, and Lin Fan ran over immediately.

A majestic soldier was holding the Vulcan heavy machine gun with both hands and firing. Although there was a support, the left and right recoil still made the man tremble, as if he had been electrocuted.

Just after 1 minute, the heroic soldier died, stopped shooting, and was about to change.

Lin Fan strode over at this time: ”Let me go.”
