I'm Really Divorced from Your Sister

40: Cute first kissChapter 40 Mengmeng’s First Kiss

Last time, Zhao Manman discovered some strange things about Ji Yunhai.

This made Li Zhiyan a little worried.

Her mental state.

After all, Zhao Manman was an elder whom Li Zhiyan respected and liked very much.

So he was concerned about Zhao Manman’s problem.

However, Li Zhiyan also noticed that Zhao Manman’s mental state seemed a bit haggard.

Although her skin was still smooth, delicate, and fair, her spirit was not very good.

It seemed it was still because of Ji Yunhai’s matter.

”Mom is fine...”

”It’s just that I feel more and more that Uncle Ji is acting stranger and stranger.”

Behind them, the TV was still playing a program.

”Xiaodong, this is the last time!”

Those boring lines made Li Zhiyan feel very bored.

Then he asked, ”Has he not come home yet?”

Zhao Manman shook her head. Now she felt that the barrier of seniority between her and Li Zhiyan had significantly weakened.

She started to tell Li Zhiyan many things.

”He hasn’t come home. He hasn’t been home for a long time. When I call him, he just says his business outside is very busy and is currently in its rising phase.”

”Now I don’t know what to do either. I don’t have much to do, feeling a bit idle.”

Upon hearing this, Li Zhiyan was a little worried. Would Ji Yunhai secretly transfer assets?

Actually, this was not impossible...

”Xiao Yan, what’s wrong? You look a bit unwell. Did Mom infect you?”

Li Zhiyan reined in his thoughts.

He smiled at Zhao Manman.

”It’s nothing, Mom.”

”However, Mom, you still need to carefully observe Uncle Ji’s whereabouts. If he really does something and secretly targets you...”

”It could be troublesome.”

Zhao Manman listened to Li Zhiyan’s reminder, feeling very complicated inside.

Should she guard against Ji Yunhai?

Although there had been no physical contact for so many years, they had been a couple for so long after all.

If she guarded against him now and he found out...

He would surely be very sad.

After all, they had been a married couple for over twenty years.

She had married him when she was very young.

”Probably not, there’s no proof that Uncle Ji has done anything yet.”

Li Zhiyan continued to remind her, ”That’s true, but it’s always good to be cautious. Just consider it preventing trouble before it happens. Think more about it, so if something happens later, you won’t feel as bad.”

He was giving Zhao Manman a preemptive ’shot’ with a ’heart-strengthening’ effect.

It was very important to prepare her mentally beforehand.

”Mom understands...”

Zhao Manman responded, but Li Zhiyan didn’t know if Zhao Manman had truly taken it to heart.

”This period, Mom feels very bored. How about in a week or two, Mom comes to see you?”

Li Zhiyan didn’t expect Zhao Manman to still remember.

Since she wanted to come, he couldn’t stop her.

”In that case, Mom, please come. I’ll accompany you.”

Li Zhiyan naturally couldn’t refuse Zhao Manman’s request.

After he went to Wan City for Wu Yuexian’s birthday.

He would be back by then, and there would be no problem going out with Zhao Manman.

Zhao Manman hummed, feeling a little anticipation in her heart.

Being with her son, Li Zhiyan, felt truly warm, making her feel the warmth of a family again.

”Okay, Mom will tell you in advance when I’m ready.”

Zhao Manman also harbored the intention of salvaging Li Zhiyan and Ji Mengting’s marriage.

The two were actually a good match; it was just that Meng Ting’s mindset had changed recently.

With more persuasion, their marriage might not be beyond saving.

”Then, Mom, get some rest early. I’ll accompany you when you come.”

Zhao Manman looked at Li Zhiyan, her mood considerably lighter.

”Okay, good night, Xiao Yan.”

...

After hanging up the phone, Li Zhiyan felt more and more that Zhao Manman was like Huang Rong in her young married woman phase.

”Alright, let’s look at the futures information first.”

”Technical things also need to be learned more.”

There were too many futures trends, and these were trends over so many years, so for Li Zhiyan.

This was a relatively tedious project.

As he peacefully looked at the information, there was a knock on the door.

Li Zhiyan opened the door and saw someone he never dreamed would appear at the door.

Zhou Mengmeng, dressed very warmly...

This girl’s dressing style really hadn’t changed at all.

She had a bag on her back.

And she was carrying a lunch box in her hand.

”Mengmeng, it’s so late, why are you here?”

”It’s not safe for a girl to be out so late. Does your sister know?”

Zhou Mengmeng’s face was flushed.

After seeing Li Zhiyan, her face visibly flushed.

”Um... Yan Ge, can I go to the bathroom first?”

Li Zhiyan took the box from her hand and said, ”Go ahead.”

Zhou Mengmeng then ran into the bathroom.

Li Zhiyan sat in the living room waiting for Zhou Mengmeng, feeling a bit strange.

It had been almost half an hour, why hadn’t this girl come out yet?

Just as he was about to knock on the door to ask about the situation.

Zhou Mengmeng pushed the door open and walked out.

Li Zhiyan couldn’t take his eyes off Zhou Mengmeng, whose thick pigtails were draped behind her.

She had changed into a dress and put on light makeup. Such a short time, but the change was truly significant.

”Yan Ge... I came to bring you dinner.”

Zhou Mengmeng thought about how to confess, to actively confess to a man, especially a man with hundreds of experiences in a certain aspect.

She really couldn’t muster the courage.

Li Zhiyan looked at the time.

”Dinner? It’s almost midnight.”

Li Zhiyan looked at the time. It was eleven when Zhou Mengmeng arrived.

And now it was almost midnight, what kind of dinner was this?

”Ah... I’m sorry, Yan Ge.”

”What I made before wasn’t very tasty. I tasted this one, and it tastes good.”

Opening the lunch box, Li Zhiyan smelled the aroma of food.

This girl really had some talent in cooking.

Looking at the somewhat flustered Zhou Mengmeng, Li Zhiyan gently stroked her head.

Zhou Mengmeng’s hair was truly thick.

”It’s okay, Mengmeng, just treat it as a late-night snack.”

Li Zhiyan was also a little hungry. He picked up his chopsticks and started eating.

”It tastes good.”

Hearing Li Zhiyan’s praise, Zhou Mengmeng felt a sense of joy.

”Really good? Then I’ll often cook for you in the future.”

Li Zhiyan glanced at Zhou Mengmeng’s legs, which were very fair.

”What’s wrong, Mengmeng? Why did you suddenly think of cooking for me?”

Zhou Mengmeng lowered her head.

”You treated me to a meal before, so I have to return the favor.”

As she spoke, Zhou Mengmeng remembered transferring money to Li Zhiyan.

But he hadn’t accepted it.

”Oh, right, why didn’t you accept the money I transferred to you before?”

”Also, you lied to me. It was clearly something worth four thousand yuan, but you told me it was one thousand.”

Zhou Mengmeng, who was about to get assertive, drooped again after seeing Li Zhiyan’s eyes.

She lowered her head, her face flushed, unable to speak.

”It’s okay, just consider it a gift because I like you.”

”If you want to repay me, you can cook a few more meals for me when you have time in the future.”

”Your cooking tastes pretty good, but next time, send me a message in advance. I might not be in Magic City often.”

Hearing this, Zhou Mengmeng’s pretty face grew even hotter.

She only heard one sentence: ’I like you.’

”Actually...”

”I want to tell you something.”

Zhou Mengmeng lowered her head, her voice very soft. She was an introverted, socially anxious girl, almost to the point of being reclusive.

Normally, communicating with people was sometimes difficult for her.

But at this moment, she was suppressing her inner thoughts.

She wanted to confess to Li Zhiyan.

”Tell me.”

Li Zhiyan put down his chopsticks.

Zhou Mengmeng’s face grew hotter and hotter. The words were on the tip of her tongue, but she couldn’t say them.

Li Zhiyan saw that Zhou Mengmeng had something she wanted to say to him.

”I’ll go wash up first. You think it over before you speak.”

Li Zhiyan went to the bathroom to wash up.

Looking at Li Zhiyan’s back, Zhou Mengmeng’s face grew hotter and hotter.

About ten minutes later, Li Zhiyan walked out in his pajamas.

It had to be said, such hot weather made him a bit restless. Looking at Zhou Mengmeng’s pigtails, he couldn’t help but want to check the quality of those pigtails.

”Um, I’ve thought about it...”

Zhou Mengmeng finally mustered her courage.

”I like you, I want to be your girlfriend.”

Using all her strength, Zhou Mengmeng quickly finished these few sentences.

After that, she couldn’t even hear the sounds around her clearly.

Li Zhiyan looked at her fair, beautiful legs and C+ bust, and hearing the girl’s confession, his brain seemed to be on fire.

Then, he embraced Zhou Mengmeng and kissed her lips.

Instantly...

Zhou Mengmeng’s mind went blank. Was this what couples did?

Did this mean he agreed to her...?

Tonight, would she be unable to leave?

Zhou Mengmeng, without any experience, could only be passively guided by Li Zhiyan, not knowing how to respond.

After a long time, Li Zhiyan released Zhou Mengmeng.

Zhou Mengmeng’s consciousness slowly cleared up quite a bit.

”Yan Ge... this, this was my first kiss.”

”From now on, I’ll be your girlfriend, right?”

She didn’t know what Li Zhiyan would ask her to do next, but she felt she couldn’t refuse Li Zhiyan.

As for this being Zhou Mengmeng’s first kiss, Li Zhiyan felt no surprise.

”I’ll take you to the school gate first, then we can talk.”

”Mm...”

Zhou Mengmeng lowered her head, nodding very obediently and meekly.

...

After getting into the passenger seat of Li Zhiyan’s car, Zhou Mengmeng felt even more as if she was living in a beautiful and happy dream.

In the future, would there truly be someone in this world who cherished her, treated her well, and loved her?

After arriving at the gate of Cai University, she still felt like she was dreaming.

”Let’s get out and talk.”

”Mm...”

Zhou Mengmeng was still very submissive. Li Zhiyan could tell that a girl like Zhou Mengmeng, who was extremely starved for affection, would be incredibly submissive to her boyfriend.

Whatever he asked her to do, she wouldn’t refuse.

However, he didn’t want to be a monogamous person.

Her situation was somewhat special, so if he didn’t make things clear, it might cause her irreparable harm later.

That was not what Li Zhiyan wanted to see.

”Mengmeng, I do like you. You are different from other girls.”

Li Zhiyan’s words made the sweetness in Zhou Mengmeng’s heart intensify a few points.

”However, I also like other girls.”

”Before my divorce, I was actually a very monogamous person.”

”But later, I yearned more for a free, unrestrained life.”

”So, if you want to be with me, perhaps I cannot be so exclusive to you.”

”Therefore, whether you want to be with me or not, you should think it over carefully.”
