“Call the police now if you dare. I’ll wait here.”

“Then you’d better watch yourself. You won’t have a good time when the police come!”

The man in the black vest did not hesitate. He picked up his phone and called the police.

Lin Yi stood at the side leisurely, waiting for the police to come.

The man in the black vest helped his companion up and said to him,

“Don’t be afraid. The police will be here soon. They’ll definitely teach him a lesson.”

The other person covered his bleeding head with a cold smile.

“This is our territory. The Huaxians are bullying us. They will definitely arrest him.”

Both of them were a little smug. The local police would definitely side with them.

After all, he was a Huaxian from a country perceived as poor and backward, incomparable to Panem. Naturally, they felt they could bully him.

In less than twenty minutes, they heard the sound of a police car outside the alley.

Soon, a police car stopped outside the alley. Two police officers got out of the car and jogged towards Lin Yi.

Seeing the two people beaten to the ground and looking at Lin Yi, the police officer’s expression immediately turned ugly. He questioned him loudly, “Huaxian, were you the one who injured them?!”

“They wanted to rob me, so I did this.” Lin Yi shrugged and smiled.

“Mr. Policeman, don’t listen to him. We didn’t try to rob him. He’s the one who wanted to rob us!”

“Don’t worry, we’ll take care of this.”

The police officer took out his handcuffs and turned to Lin Yi.

You’re suspected of robbery. Please come with us!”

This simple and crude method made Lin Yi feel sick.

It was not just this small city, the entire country seemed to be like this.

“Are you going to take me away without saying anything? Isn’t your way of handling things too hasty?”

“Someone has already accused you of robbery. Do you still want to quibble?”

The police officer said coldly.

“We don’t want to hear anything right now. You’d better come with us. Don’t make us shoot you.”

Lin Yi narrowed his eyes and looked at the two of them.

“What if I want you to shoot me?”

“You want us to shoot?”

The two of them were furious and immediately took out the guns from their waists.

“You asked for it. Don’t blame us for being impolite!”

But just as the two of them were about to attack, Lin Yi made his move! Without giving the two of them any chance, Lin Yi rushed in front of them at lightning speed.

He straightened his fingers to turn his hand into a knife and chopped at one of the policemen’s necks with his palm.

The latter couldn’t withstand Lin Yi’s strength and fainted on the spot, lying crookedly on the ground.

Lin Yi took advantage of the situation and kicked the other person. He used even more strength than before. After hitting the wall, blood gushed out of the corner of the man’s mouth and he fainted.

In a few seconds, the noisy and cursing alley had quieted down.

I he man in the black vest and his companion stared with fear written all over their faces.

“How dare you attack the police? You’re too bold!”

“Don’t you think you’re talking a lot of nonsense?”

Lin Yi did the same thing to them and the duo fainted.

He picked up the gun on the ground and found four magazines on the two officers. Then, he put them in his pocket.

Before leaving, Lin Yi threw the four unconscious people into the trash can beside him. No one would discover them for a while.

This time was enough for him and Zhou Liang to escape.

After achieving his goal, Lin Yi raised his head and looked at the moon in the sky. Then, he lowered his straw hat and walked towards the private hospital. Other than the Bass ore being snatched away, everything was developing in a good direction.

After waiting for ten minutes, Lin Yi returned to the hospital.

After entering, Lin Yi quickened his pace and prepared to meet up with Zhou Liang.

But at this moment, Lin Yi sensed that something was wrong.

He carefully looked elsewhere and realized that the private hospital was quiet. There was no sound at all.

Moreover, the middle-aged doctor and his wife were not here. No one knew where they had gone.

It felt abandoned, even the most basic signs of life were gone.

All of a sudden, Lin Yi’s heart raced and his nerves tensed up.

He could smell blood in the air.

Lin Yi suddenly turned around and saw messy footprints on the sand outside through the glass door!

There were also two fingernail-sized bloodstains at the corner of the earth!

In an instant, cold sweat flowed down Lin Yi’s forehead.

He suddenly accelerated and rushed to the second floor like a cheetah. When he arrived, he saw a mess.

The benches in the second-floor hall had been toppled over, IV stands lay scattered on the ground.

There was a also large pool of blood, as if the area had been ravaged by a calamity.

Lin Yi’s face turned pale, and his eyes were glazed as he rushed toward Zhou Liang’s hospital room.

But he found no one inside. It was as silent and empty as an endless wilderness.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

At that moment, a series of gunshots rang out!

Hot bullets spurted from the gun barrels with such high temperatures that it

felt like even the air had become scorching!

Lin Yi’s reaction was incredibly swift. He had already sensed that something

was wrong just before the attack began.

He lunged to the side and forward, instinctively drawing the gun from his pocket and firing three shots in quick succession, killing the two ambushers instantly!

Just then, more people hiding under the bed and in the wardrobe burst out, while another dozen or so rushed in from outside, surrounding Lin Yi!

These attackers didn’t care about anything else. They just started shooting wildly.

The intense gunfire created a web of fire in mid-air, descending from above

and enveloping the entire hospital room.

Lin Yi reacted quickly and rushed to the window of the ward!

Crash!

Under Lin Yi’s impact, the glass shattered.

Lin Yi jumped to the first floor and rolled forward to offset the impact.

However, at this moment, more than ten people appeared from elsewhere.

They were holding weapons and shooting at Lin Yi crazily.

“F*ck!”

Lin Yi cursed and found his car, but he realized that the interior was already destroyed. It was impossible to drive again, so he used the car as a cover and fired a few shots at the people rushing over.

Three more people fell under Lin Yi’s gunshots.

With such a loss, Black Snake’s actions became more cautious. They no longer blindly fired indiscriminately.

With this opening, Lin Yi desperately searched for cover in the night, trying to dodge any incoming shots.

Lin Yi’s night vision was outstanding, and he was far less restricted than the other party.

With this advantage, Lin Yi gradually pulled away from the people surrounding him.

Then, he disappeared into the night.

“Chase after him!”

One of the members of Black Snake shouted, “We can’t let him off!”
