Chapter 1370: Boyfriend and Nightlife

In terms of land area, the county’s First High School was considered very good.

Some schools in Zhonghai might not even be as big as this place.

However, in terms of teaching facilities, it was far inferior.

There was only a single four-story building. Although it looked alright, it housed a combination of elementary, junior high, and high school students.

It had been fine more than ten years ago. The school was quite well-organized. Including the towns below, there were a total of five elementary schools, three junior high schools, and two high schools.

However, after more than ten years, these schools had all merged together, leaving only this one in front of him.

After finding a shaded area, Lin Yi sat down.

Not long after, the bell rang. The children of all grades flooded the field.

Lin Yi calculated that there were less than 500 people across all three levels of education. The number was pitifully small.

Even so, according to Li Sijin, they lacked teachers in the school.

After thinking for a long time, Lin Yi felt that this was the same problem as the low medical level.

If the economy didn’t pull itself together, everything would be for naught.

Therefore, the industrial park was the cornerstone of all poverty alleviation efforts. He still had to think of a way to resolve these other issues.

However, after thinking about it, Lin Yi still felt that this matter could not be rushed. Many things complemented each other.

If he had time to worry about education and healthcare, he might as well think about the industrial park.

Now that their finances were up, they could easily solve everything by giving more salaries to the doctors and teachers.

Ring ring ring!

After sitting in school for a while, Lin Yi’s phone rang. It was an unfamiliar number.

“Hello, are you Mr. Lin Yi, the director of Dongsan County’s Office of Poverty Alleviation?”

“And you are?”

“Let me introduce myself first. My name is Hou Jingtao. I’m a reporter from the Central Daily. I’m mainly in charge of the initial contact. I want to confirm the interview time with you. 1’11 be in your office at ten o’clock tomorrow morning. Is that okay?”

“Sure, that is fine,” Lin Yi said, “Do you know the address?”

“Secretary Wang has already given it to us. We’ll gather in front of your office building tomorrow.”

“Okay.”

After hanging up, Lin Yi didn’t think much of it and went to the county hospital to pick up Li Chuhan and Qiao Xin for dinner.

At Qiao Xin’s suggestion, the three of them went to eat rice noodles. It was both economical and affordable.

“Brother Lin, is there anywhere to have fun in Dongsan County?” Qiao Xin, who couldn’t stay idle, asked.

“The only place to play nearby seems to be the Kanglai Reservoir. It’s within the borders of Kanglai County, but it’s not far. You can row, fish, and so on. I don’t think you would be interested.”

“Then let’s go take a look,” Qiao Xin said. “We’ve been here for a few days, but there’s no nightlife at all. It’s so boring.”

“Then hurry up and find a boyfriend.”

“Being single has nothing to do with nightlife,” Qiao Xin said.

“It’s just a difference between being alone or with someone. Besides, 1 feel being single is quite nice. 1 can go wherever 1 want without anyone bothering me.”

“That’s different. With more people, you have more choices.” Lin Yi said.

“When there’s something to do, you can go out and play together. When there’s nothing to play with, the two of you can play with each other.”

Qiao Xin was stunned for a moment before she burst out laughing.

“Brother Lin, you’re so dirty, but I like it.”

Lin Yi also laughed. This was the benefit of being with these girls who studied medicine. They could do as they pleased, and it wasn’t a taboo to make dirty jokes.

Even though Li Chuhan’s face was neither red nor white, she did not say anything.

In the eyes of these doctors, it was very normal for two organs to collide.

“That’s why it’s better for you to quickly find a boyfriend. We can play with each other when we have nothing. Besides, you’re not young anymore.”

“That won’t do. Even if 1 don’t have a boyfriend, I can find something to do,” Qiao Xin said.

“It’s so boring in the hotel. I want to go out and play.”

“Anywhere outside is fine. In the car, the corridor, the small forest, the cinema, and the fitting room. There are too many places to play. Take your boyfriend and let yourself go.”

“F*ck, haha…”

Qiao Xin laughed so hard that she rocked back and forth. “Brother Lin, you have so many tricks up your sleeve. I’m really envious of Director Li.”

Li Chuhan was confused. She could understand the cinema, but what did the corridor, the forest, and the bathroom mean?

‘What’s so fun about it?’

“Brother Lin, you have to explain these things to Director Li when you go back. She was so stunned.”

“Hehe… that’s my responsibility.”

“Shall we go to the reservoir tomorrow?” Qiao Xin asked.

“We still have some house calls to do over the next few days. Let’s go after we’re done,” Li Chuhan said.

“We can always take a day off,” Lin Yi said, “But I have something on tomorrow, so let’s do it the day after tomorrow.”

“Okay.”

After dinner, the three of them did not partake in the nightlife and returned to the hotel.

Ring ring ring!

Just as Li Chuhan was about to take a shower, He Yuanyuan called.

“Are you free tomorrow?”

“What’s wrong? Are you guys coming over?”

“Central Daily wants to interview you. They contacted us and wanted to ask about your time.”

“You and Old Qi can do this for me.”

Lin Yi wanted to transfer Qi Xianzhao and He Yuanyuan over so that they could be interviewed in his place.

“How can you do that? They’re the official state media. Many people want to participate in this kind of thing but never get the chance. You actually want to reject them?” He Yuanyuan said.

“Moreover, Brother Qi and 1 are both vice presidents. If we replace you, the other party will definitely have objections. Who knows what they will write about us when we go back.”

“Alright then,” Lin Yi said, “Let them decide the time. I’m always available.”

“Alright, then I’ll inform them of this.”

“Okay.”

It was obvious that He Yuanyuan was very busy. Otherwise, the two of them would have exchanged a few words before hanging up.

After hanging up, Lin Yi threw the phone aside.

When Li Chuhan came out, he was going to explain to her what the car, corridor, cinema, and forest meant.

Ring ring ring!

Just as Lin Yi was thinking about how to explain, his phone rang again.

This time, it was an unknown number.

“Hello, is this President Lin from Lingyun Group?”

The person who called was a woman. Her voice was very gentle and pleasant.

“Who are you?”

“Hello, President Lin. I’m Sun Yiying, a reporter from the Central Daily News. 1 am planning to interview you tomorrow.”

“I know about that.”

“I heard from Director He that you’re free all day, right?”

“Yes, it is.”

“We have another interview tomorrow morning. We’ve already made an appointment and can’t cancel it. Can we meet you after the interview in the morning?”

“Okay.”

After setting the appointment, Lin Yi hung up. It was inevitable that his identity would be exposed.

However, the other party was from the official state media. As long as he gave them a few reminders, they should watch what they say.

But why did two people contact him in the morning and afternoon respectively?

This was very interesting..
