Chapter 839 - 839 Never Had Such an Expensive Battle

839 Never Had Such an Expensive Battle

Later, Lin Yi returned to the study after dinner.

At the same time, he took more precautions.

However, he felt that with Caie Mitsui’s standard, she would not do such a lowly thing.

In the following days, everything was peaceful.

!!
Lin Yi had been busy with Chip 3.0, and the development was coming to an end.

Lin Yi heaved a sigh of relief. He had been busy for so many days and was finally seeing results.

With the written program in hand, Lin Yi prepared to go to the research institute to find Shen Tianzhuo.

Lin Yi couldn’t guarantee that there weren’t any bugs with the program. He wanted to show it to Shen Tianzhuo and give him some suggestions before applying for the patent.

After sending Ji Qingyan off in the morning, Lin Yi prepared to drive to the research institute.

On the way, Lin Yi’s phone rang. It was a call from Qi Xianzhao.

“President Lin, something happened,” Qi Xianzhao said anxiously.

“Intel has sued us for monopolization. The subpoena has just been handed to us.”

“Huh?”

Lin Yi slammed on the brakes, feeling that this was a little unbelievable.

“Are you sure it’s Intel?”

As he spoke, Lin Yi parked the car at the side and almost laughed out loud.

Were these people out of their minds?

The AChip 3.0 technology was already in his hands. He had not gone to look for them, but they had come first.

“It’s Intel’s Zhonghai branch. I heard that they take this matter very seriously and even sent people from the headquarters over.” Qi Xianzhao said.

“I guess they noticed Longxin’s rapid development and view us as a potential threat. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have done such a thing.”

“That’s possible,” Lin Yi said calmly.

To Lin Yi, the court’s subpoena was nothing.

Zhonghai was his territory. Even the emperor couldn’t do anything to him here.

However, he felt that it was a little suspicious for them to issue a subpoena at this time.

Even though Longxin had recently been listed on the market, they had not yet done anything in the chip industry. This fact could easily be verified found online.

Other than that, the possibility of a leak was not high.

Longxin’s mission was to develop the mobile phone ecosystem, and they had cut off almost all research on chips.

As for the research on chips, he had been doing it himself. This information was completely sealed. So, why did Intel choose this time to challenge them?

Could it really be because of their sharp business sense?

Or did the Chip 2.0 technology put pressure on them?

However, it had been such a long time since the Chip 2.0 launch. Logically speaking, it was impossible for them to take action at this time.

“What did the court summons say?” Lin Yi asked.

“There’s nothing substantial. It’s just that we must report to the court within ten days.”

“Don’t worry about the subpoena. Our company’s work is being carried out normally. Don’t take this matter to heart.”

“Don’t you need to take care of it?”

“This isn’t a normal commercial lawsuit. Someone’s behind this. I’ll handle it myself.”

“Got it, President Lin.”

After hanging up, Lin Yi didn’t leave immediately because he didn’t understand what was going on.

At this time, Intel suddenly made a move. Even though it was a coincidence, Lin Yi still felt that Caie Mitsui might be behind this.

However, Lin Yi couldn’t find any other justification for her involvement, as there would be no tangible benefits to her and her actions would have no real effect on him either.

Ring ring ring!

Just as Lin Yi was thinking about this, the phone in his pocket rang. It was Shen Tianzhuo.

“Director Shen, were you looking for me?”

“I heard you were being sued by Intel. What happened?”

“I don’t know what’s going on either. I’m going to your place anyway. Let’s talk when we meet.”

“Come on. Recently, a new Northeastern restaurant opened near the research institute. It’s big and delicious. I’ll bring you to try it.”

“Sure thing.”

After driving for more than forty minutes, Lin Yi arrived at the research institute.

Coincidentally, he bumped into He Yuanyuan’s ex-boyfriend there.

Lin Yi didn’t have any feelings toward him. He nodded and went to Shen Tianzhuo’s office.

“We’ve already been sued. Why are you still smiling?”

“Who dares to sue me in Zhonghai?” Lin Yi crossed his legs and said.

“I think the court is just issuing a token subpoena. There is still a process to follow.”

“With your connections in Zhonghai, I’m not too worried,” Shen Tianzhuo said.

“But Intel is a giant in the industry after all. If this news gets out, it might have a certain impact on the stock price. Even your company, Didi Chuxing, will be implicated.”

“I expected that, but it won’t affect me much.”

Lin Yi’s biggest support was that there was someone backing him up.

In Yan Ci’s words, as long as he didn’t intentionally court death, he would never die.

“I know your ability. It shouldn’t be difficult for you to deal with this matter, but the light source we so desperately need is in the hands of Cymer, and they are controlled by Intel. If the conflict between the two sides intensifies, the lithography machine project will be in a very difficult situation.”

After saying that, Shen Tianzhuo smiled. “Perhaps the first battle of the technology industry between the two countries will start from you.”

“Intel is indeed impressive, but whether they can fight or not depends on my mood. The fuse is in my hands.”

“Hmm? Have you found a way to deal with them?”

Lin Yi smiled mysteriously. “Boss Shen, do you know why I came to look for you today?”

Shen Tianzhuo was stunned. “Was there something important?”

Lin Yi pushed the USB in front of Shen Tianzhuo from his pocket.

“The world’s most advanced Chip 3.0 technology. I can’t say anything else, but it’s at least a few months ahead of Intel’s R&D.”

Shen Tianzhuo stared at the USB drive on the table in a daze for a long time.

Intel had gathered more than a hundred engineers, but they still couldn’t produce this. How could they let him produce it ahead of them?

This kid was really a genius!

“You said before that you relied on this to solve the issue with the 4-nanometer light source.”

“That’s right, but there’s been a lot of things going on recently. Otherwise, we could have gotten this thing out some time ago.” Lin Yi smiled.

“But at Longxin’s level, we don’t need such a high-end technology for the time being. What do you think Intel will do if I sell this to AMD?”

“Their market share will drop by at least 30%. It will also allow AMD to completely overtake them in technology and business.”

“Boss Shen’s vision is unique. I agree with that.” Lin Yi said.

“Therefore, there’s no need to play tricks with them this time. I’ll slap this thing right on their desk. It’ll scare them silly.”

“Indeed, this is too shocking.”

Lin Yi stretched. “I haven’t fought such an expensive battle ever since I started doing business. I can’t wait.”
