“Yesterday’s emergency suture was only one part of it. I tested him afterward, and the results surprised me. With this report, I think Lin Yi has the qualifications to be an assistant in the operating theater.”

“You want him to be my assistant?!”

Duan Yongchun looked disdainful. “He’s just a houseman, and he probably hasn’t even been in a real operating theater before. What are you thinking by letting him participate in such an important surgery?”

“It’s precisely because this surgery is so important. I want to reduce the risk as much as possible.”

“I don’t agree,” Duan Yongchun said decisively.

!!
“I don’t want to let someone who doesn’t have any surgical experience become my assistant. Not only will it not reduce the risk, but it will even increase the risk.”

“This is only a suggestion. You have the right to reject it.”

The consultation room quieted down. No one had expected something like this to happen in the final stage of the consultation.

They didn’t expect Li Chuhan and Duan Yongchun to have such an intense argument.

Guofeng Miao, who was sitting in the main seat, didn’t say a word.

His eyes were fixed on the PowerPoint slides on the projector.

Whether it was purely theoretical, or combined with practice, this report was perfect.

Putting aside whether the young doctor called Lin Yi had any surgical experience, this PowerPoint alone was enough to prove his talent.

About a minute later, Guofeng Miao looked at the two men in military uniforms and said.

“What do you think?”

“We are amateurs in surgery. It’s not right and we don’t have the right to interfere in this matter. Director Miao, you are an expert in this field. Everything is up to you to decide.”

After thinking for a few seconds, Guofeng looked at Li Chuhan.

“Then let’s bring Lin Yi into the operating room, but only as a spectator. It’ll be good for him to gain some experience.”

Miao Guofeng was very experienced, and did not do anything to offend either Li Chuhan nor Duan Yongchun.

However, Duan Yongchun’s expression wasn’t very good.

This was because he didn’t want Lin Yi to enter the operating room at all.

However, facing Miao Guofeng’s words and Li Chuhan’s own strength, he couldn’t say anything else. He could only nod and agree.

Meanwhile, Li Chuhan was expressionless. No one knew what she was thinking.

“Alright, the consultation is over. All departments prepare for the final examination of the patient. The operation will begin in thirty minutes.”

Hearing Miao Guofeng’s order, all the doctors in the consultation room started preparing for the next operation.

At this moment, a tall woman in blue jeans was standing outside the consultation room.

The woman’s hair was tied up neatly, and her beautiful almond-shaped eyes were shining with worry.

The woman in front of her was none other than Liang Ruoxu.

Seeing the door to the consultation room open, Liang Ruoxu hurried over to the two men in military uniforms.

“How’s the situation? Why did you take so long to come out?”

“There was a dispute in the final stage. Fortunately, it was resolved peacefully. Now, they want to do the final examination on the chief. The surgery will take place soon,” said one of the men in military uniforms.

“What did they say about the risk? Is it serious?”

“It’s hard to say. Their Director Li said that the risk has been reduced as much as possible. Based on the domestic environment, this hospital should be the safest place to conduct the operation.”

Liang Ruoxu’s expression was solemn. “From the looks of it, we can only take it one step at a time.”

“I believe that the chief will be fine.”

“Yeah, I think so too.”

…

Lin Yi and Qiao Xin went to the emergency center and tidied up before they started working.

“Lin Bro, you can take the lead today. I’ll write your medical records and medical advice for you.” Qiao Xin smiled. “Give me a chance to learn.”

“Don’t say that. We’re on the same level. There’s no need to talk about learning.”

“Don’t be modest. I saw it when you stitched up the patient yesterday. Even Director Li praised your skills, so your level must be above mine. I’m not in a very good state either. You should take the lead today.”

“Alright, I’ll take the lead today and we can swap tomorrow.”

“Okay.”

Qiao Xin looked at Lin Yi with eyes full of stars.

Lin Yi was so handsome, so skilled, and so kind.

Was there anyone in the world more perfect than him?

There definitely wasn’t.

If there was, the person wasn’t human.

There were a lot of patients in the emergency department, but a lot of them were just panicked.

Their injuries looked serious, but in reality, it was nothing.

Lin Yi could handle them with ease.

Creak.

Just as Lin Yi was finishing his examination of a patient and asking Qiao Xin to write the patient’s medical advice, he saw a middle-aged woman rushing in from outside.

“What are you doing?” Lin Yi asked.

“Doctor, look at me, my stomach is killing me.”

“Wait a few minutes, I’ll check you after I finish writing the patient’s medical advice.”

“What’s the need for medical advice? Let me take a look at him, he doesn’t seem to be sick at all. Let’s go, don’t delay my treatment.”

Lin Yi frowned. He was about to speak when the honest-looking elder brother said,

“Doctor, I’ve remembered all the medicine you prescribed me. You listed down the things I need to pay attention to earlier. There’s no need to write down the medical advice, you can attend to this elder sister first.”

“Alright.”

Seeing that the patient did not mind, Lin Yi was indifferent. He turned to the middle-aged woman and said,

“Sit down, give me your medical card.”

“Medical card? What medical card?”

“The medical card they gave you when you registered.”

“There were too many people waiting at the registry, so I didn’t register. You should check me first.”

“No registration? How can I check you if you didn’t register?”

“There are so many people waiting at the emergency centre window. How long will it take? You have to check me first. My illness is urgent.”

“Your illness is urgent, but others aren’t?”

“I’m already so old, and there are so many young people behind me. They will be fine waiting a short time. Their situations aren’t as important as mine. Check me first.”

“Either you go queue up or go to another hospital. Don’t take advantage of your seniority here.”

Lin Yi thought that he was a good-tempered person, but he couldn’t help but get angry when he met such a person.

“Young man, what are you saying? I’m not bored enough to do that, and you’re still young. How dare you claim that I’m taking advantage of my seniority!” The middle-aged woman pointed at Lin Yi’s nose and said, “Believe it or not, I’ll file a complaint against you!”

“I’m already flattering you by saying that. Get lost!”

Seeing Lin Yi’s cold eyes, the middle-aged woman was so scared that she didn’t dare to say anything. She left the room with her tail between her legs.

“What a narcisist. There are all kinds of people here,” Lin Yi muttered.

“Yeah, yeah, Lin Bro is right,” Qiao Xin praised.

Lin Bro was so domineering just now. He was so manly. This was how she had to deal with such an unreasonable person in the future!

Sye had to learn as well.

At this moment, the handsome buff was on full display.

Lin Yi’s scolding was viewed as manly. An ugly person scolding was viewed as uncultured and rude.

“Next.”

Lin Yi called out. Ten seconds later, a young woman in simple clothes walked in.

Her looks and figure weren’t bad, but her expression was a bit intriguing.

The patient was very proactive. She handed in her medical card in advance, but her eyes were sparkling.

“Describe your symptoms first. Where are you feeling unwell?” Lin Yi asked.

“Doctor, can I discuss something with you?” The woman asked tentatively.

“Go ahead.”

“Can I get this female doctor to see me?”
