I Can See Through All Things Information

Chapter 44 – 41 The Concept of Cultivation Realms

“Ah Qing, do you know what one should possess to become a good doctor?”

Hearing his master’s question, Lu Qing hesitated for a moment before answering, “Superior medical skills?”

“That’s only part of it,” Old Doctor Chen said. “In addition to that, an outstanding doctor should also possess a calm demeanor in the face of change and a healthy physique.”

“A calm demeanor in the face of change and a healthy physique?” Lu Qing muttered to himself.

“That’s right,” the elder doctor nodded. “As a doctor, having a calm demeanor is very important.”

“Because as a doctor, you will inevitably encounter all kinds of patients with various conditions.”

“These patients could be wailing in unbearable pain, at death’s doorstep, with conditions so frightening they would send shivers down your spine, and even those with violent tempers, ready to yell and lash out at the slightest provocation.”

...
“If you come across such patients and you lack a calm and collected mindset, it will be difficult to accurately diagnose their conditions and treat them.”

“So you must remember, when your medical skills are honed, no matter what kind of patient you face, you must maintain a calm demeanor. Only then can you help treat them more effectively.”

“I will bear that in mind,” Lu Qing said respectfully.

“As for having a healthy physique…”

Old Doctor Chen paused, then continued.

“As I’ve just mentioned, being a doctor means you’ll encounter some troublesome patients.”

“Some patients, not only are they ill-tempered themselves, but their family members are also unreasonable. Sometimes, the slightest dissatisfaction triggers an outburst, and they can even vent their fury on the doctor.”

“In such situations, as a doctor, you should no longer be thinking of treating the patient but prioritize your own safety first.”

“This is why having a strong and healthy body is essential, otherwise, you may not be able to handle those irrational patients and their families.”

The elder doctor’s face showed an indescribable expression, as if recalling some unpleasant memories.

It seems that the master has also encountered many troublemakers in the past, Lu Qing thought to himself.

Old Doctor Chen shook his head, casting aside the bad memories, and continued.

“Besides dealing with difficult patients, gathering herbs in the mountains and traveling far and wide—all these also require a strong body.”

“Therefore, to be an excellent doctor, not only is medical skill important,”

“But equally important are a calm demeanor in the face of change and a robust constitution.”

“Then, master, how can one develop a strong physique?” Lu Qing asked earnestly.

“You’ve hit the nail on the head,” Old Doctor Chen smiled.

“Do you remember the boxing techniques I demonstrated when you first came to me?”

“I remember.”

Lu Qing thought, not only do I remember, but I almost managed to emulate it.

This was the first time his master had actively mentioned anything about cultivation, and he couldn’t help but feel excited.

“This set of boxing techniques was something I happened upon in my youth and it is precisely because of it that I, even at this age, still maintain a fine physique.”

“Now that you are my disciple, it is time for me to teach you this technique.”

“Master is going to teach me martial arts?” Lu Qing said with surprise and delight. “So master also understands martial arts?”

“I have a modest understanding. You are quite frail, and whether you want to gather herbs in the mountains or travel around in the future, you need to exercise more. We doctors must not only know how to heal others but also how to maintain and strengthen our own bodies.”

“If even we are constantly in poor health, how can we be in good condition to diagnose and treat others?”

Elder Chen knew that someone as intelligent as Lu Qing would not give up pursuing the truth about his parents’ death.

He had no reason to stop his disciple.

After all, it is a natural duty for a child to want to know the true circumstances of his birth parents’ deaths.

Given that, what he could do was increase his disciple’s ability to protect themselves.

Back in the courtyard, the master and disciple stood in the middle, while Little Yan cheerfully ate pastries at a nearby stone table, watching them.

“Ah Qing, before I formally teach you boxing, I must first tell you about some common knowledge regarding Martial Arts Cultivation,” Old Doctor Chen said with a solemn face.

“Yes, Master.”

Lu Qing suppressed the excitement in his heart.

He was finally about to learn about cultivation!

“Martial Arts Cultivation, as those among the Martial Arts circles speak of, is divided into several realms,” Old Doctor Chen began to explain leisurely.

“There are two major realms, the Innate and the Postnatal.”

“As for the minor realms, just the Postnatal Realm alone is divided again into three realms: the Qi Blood Realm, the Muscle Bone Realm, and the Internal Organ Realm.”

“In the Qi Blood Realm, those who are just beginning Martial Arts Training mainly enliven the Qi-Blood and regulate the breath.”

“With lively Qi-Blood and smooth breath, the body naturally becomes robust, strength increases, and one’s spirit becomes vigorous.”

“Thus, Martial Artists with Great Success in the Qi Blood Realm, each one sturdy and strong with astonishing strength, can easily fling away three or five big men holding onto them.”

“The Muscle Bone Realm is where Martial Artists consciously temper their own muscles and bones.”

“Using various Secret Techniques and mental methods to temper muscles and bones, they achieve a strengthening and transformation akin to rebirth.”

“Martial Artists with Great Success in the Muscle Bone Realm have strength far surpassing that of the Qi Blood Realm, able to pull wild horses and throw cows with their bare hands, which is quite frightening.”

“As for the Internal Organ Realm…”

The elder doctor paused before continuing, “Martial Artists in this realm have muscles and bones that are powerful to a peak, difficult to break through further, so they start to seek a further physical transformation from the outside in.”

“And this transformation lies within the Inner Organs.”

“The five viscera and six bowels of a person are always frail, and even slight damage may threaten one’s life.”

“But Martial Artists in the Internal Organ Realm can cultivate their viscera to extraordinary strength, achieving harmony inside and out, with enduring breath and great stamina.”

“Martial Artists with Great Success in the Internal Organ Realm have powerful Inner Breath, able to gallop for thousands of miles without losing stamina, and can stay underwater for several hours without exhausting their breath.”

“To train Martial Arts to this realm goes far beyond ordinary imagination and reaches the Postnatal Limit of humans.”

“To reach such a realm is truly one in ten thousand, worthy of being called a dragon among men, hence, Martial Artists with Great Success in the Internal Organs Realm are also crowned with the title of Grandmaster by those in the Martial Arts world.”

This series of explanations was both satisfying and shocking for Lu Qing to hear.

The practitioners of this world’s cultivation were stronger than he had imagined.

What with pulling wild horses, tossing cows with bare hands, rushing for thousands of miles…

All these feats were practically inhuman.

No wonder he felt such intense pressure from that Ma Ye before.

So, he possessed such formidable strength.

“Master, if the Postnatal Realm is already this powerful, what about the Innate Realm?” Lu Qing asked eagerly.

“The might of the Innate Realm, your teacher does not know,” the elder doctor shook his head, “Those strong in such a realm are like elusive dragons, some of whom enjoy wandering the world, while others are supreme figures upholding a nation, beyond the reach of ordinary Martial Artists.”

Lu Qing’s eyes flickered as he asked, “Then what about Master, which realm are you in now?”

“Hahaha.” Old Doctor Chen burst into laughter, “Your master is old now, weakened by age, and the realm doesn’t matter anymore. Besides, I am just a Doctor, concerned with treating illnesses and saving lives, not with competing for strength. High or low realm, it’s of no consequence.”

Alright, Lu Qing understood that the old man did not wish to reveal his cultivation.

“However, although your teacher may not be a fighter, teaching you some techniques for strengthening the body and maintaining health is still possible.”

“The boxing Technique I’m about to teach you, make sure to learn it well.”
