I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 113: Chapter 113: Knight of Apocalypse, Master of the Swarm!

One day ago.

”Resistance Army?” Sun Dachuan hadn’t read the攻略, so naturally, he didn’t know such an organization existed.

”They are the native humans of this dungeon who also fight against the swarm.”

”According to the normal dungeon flow, we should be allocated to one of the Resistance Army camps as soon as we appear in the dungeon.”

”But now the entire timeline of the dungeon seems to have changed significantly.”

”Hopefully, the Resistance Army still exists in this world.”

Upon hearing this, Sun Dachuan continued to ask, ”We’re looking for the Insect Mother, and we’re also looking for the Resistance Army. With such a large dungeon, how do we search?”

Lin Yi: ”It’s the same process of searching, but finding the Resistance Army is much easier.”

Just now, through Lin You’s momentary intrusion into the swarm’s mind network, Lin Yi gained some understanding of the swarm’s hierarchy and information transmission mechanism.

Swarm civilization shares some common aspects with human civilization.

Namely the existence of a societal system.

Among insects, roles are clearly defined, and there is also a social hierarchy.

The smallest insect race individuals are equivalent to ordinary company employees.

These employees are responsible for battling, breeding, or intelligence gathering.

At a higher level are the ”Messengers.”

The primary duty of these insects is to receive information from the intelligence-gathering insects, consolidate it, release appropriate pheromones, and finally guide the lower-level swarm to act.

Above the ”Messengers” are the leaders of each nest, known as the ”Prophets.”

At the Prophet level, it’s equivalent to a department manager in a company.

They have access to the company’s network.

After knowing this, Lin Yi had a thought—

Use insects to control insects.

”Let’s go. If all goes well, we shouldn’t need too much time to find a Resistance Army camp, and we can avoid battles with these insects along the way.”

It’s impossible to kill them all, and killing insects along the way would just waste time.

Sun Dachuan shrugged: ”You have a flexible mind, I’ll follow your lead.”

Half an hour later.

Lin Yi and Sun Dachuan once again approached a swarm nest.

This time, Lin Yi decided that Sun Dachuan would keep the swarm occupied while he and Lin You directly executed a decapitation strike against the nest’s ”Prophet.”

After killing the Prophet, Lin You once again turned it into undead.

Making it her servant.

This time, Lin Yi instructed Lin You definitely not to invade the swarm’s mind network to check information but rather gain a detailed understanding of how the Prophet previously uploaded and downloaded information.

As well as how to upload and download information.

Lin You quickly figured it out.

Soon, by reading part of the Prophet’s memory, she understood his duties.

Indeed, this time, the ”Prophet” controlled by Lin You wasn’t ejected from the swarm’s mind network.

Because it was continuously fulfilling its duty of managing the entire nest swarm.

Lin Yi breathed a sigh of relief.

This makes things easier.

Soon, under Lin You’s control, the entire nest’s ”Messengers” were all under the Prophet’s command.

The ”Messengers” then released a large amount of pheromones, labeling Lin Yi, Sun Dachuan, and Lin You as ”friendly forces,” ”similar.”

Instantly, the countless black-scythe worker insects that were madly attacking Sun Dachuan ceased their onslaught.

With a single thought, Lin Yi instructed the Messengers to once again release a pheromone.

Marking two worker insects as ”enemies” to each other.

In the next moment, the two worker insects unexpectedly began to attack each other.

This scene directly stunned Sun Dachuan.

He gave Lin Yi a thumbs up: ”Mr. Lin! Impressive!”

”An expert in insect taming!”

Lin Yi was also somewhat excited.

Success is mine!

For the entire afternoon, Lin Yi brought thousands of kilometers worth of ”nests” under his rule.

For Lin You, it only required controlling two to three hundred ”Prophets.”

Compared to commanding those Noah Ruins’ lord monsters earlier, the pressure wasn’t significantly greater.

Even though Lin You was somewhat strained, she managed to handle it.

But as the sunset fell, and night descended, the swarm Lin Yi controlled numbered in the billions!

Later, Lin Yi sent the swarm’s intelligence-gathering insects out to search for ”human” presence within a four to five thousand kilometer radius.

In less than half a day.

Lin You received a response from the swarm.

”Human tracks have been spotted in a canyon over 2000 kilometers away from us.”

Lin Yi breathed a sigh of relief.

Fortunately, humans still exist in this world.

Most likely, it’s Isidna’s native Resistance Army.

...

Terence looked at the sky filled with swarms.

And those increasingly close figures.

His heart filled with tension.

He had never quite believed in the so-called ”prophecies.”

Because if prophecies were useful, why would they need to resist until the end?

But the current scene matched the prophecy almost perfectly.

This made it difficult for him to determine what to believe.

”Are you the Resistance Army of Isidna?”

Lin Yi looked at Terence and the group of battered soldiers behind him, posing a question.

Terence forced a bitter smile: ”Our resistance is meaningless.”

”It’s definitely meaningful!”

”If you hadn’t resisted until now, how could you have waited for me and Mr. Lin!”

”Hahaha!”

Sun Dachuan, riding on an insect, laughed before Lin Yi could speak.

But he probably never thought.

The words he uttered struck Terence like a bolt of thunder, echoing in his mind.

”You must burn the last light, becoming fireflies, and charge into the fire, clearing the fog and guiding the path for him.”

He recalled this line from the prophecy.

Could it be that their resistance all along, although incapable of saving Isidna or their descendants.

It’s actually for this very moment?

Clearing the fog...

Guiding the path...

Terence trembled all over, suddenly kneeling down as tears streamed from his eyes.

”Lord Knight of the Apocalypse!”

”We have finally awaited your arrival!”

”Tell us what you’d like to know.”

Terence’s kneeling.

Instantly rekindled a flame named hope in the eyes of the countless Resistance Army behind him!

”Lord Tianqi!”

”He has come to save us!”

”The prophecy is real!”

”The prophecy has truly been fulfilled!”

In the previously lifeless ninth camp of the Resistance Army, countless people embraced, wept, and cheered!

Lin Yi was momentarily stunned.

Prophecy, what prophecy?

Originally, Lin Yi had devised many strategies in his mind to prove he was on the side of the Resistance Army.

But now, he found it unnecessary.

These people seemed unconditionally to believe in him.

Because he saw it in their eyes.

It was such an indescribable look...

Lin Yi finally understood why they were looking at him like that.

Because he brought them hope.

The last hope!

In this Catastrophe Era, in these darkest times.

Hope is such a precious thing!

Facing countless intense gazes, Lin Yi took a deep breath and asked the question: ”Tell me, where is the Insect Mother?”
