I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 90: Chapter 90: Challenging the Fourth Advancement! Is This Kid Too Arrogant?!

If not ranked, you’ll have to stay on the street. Isn’t this place filled with student dormitories?

Lin Yi felt the ”unique style” of Shenxiao.

After thanking the security guard uncle, Li Yuanjing led Lin Yi towards the egg-shaped building not far away.

At the same time, he patiently explained to Lin Yi, ”At Shenxiao Academy, there are two things that are most important to a student.”

”One is credits, similar to Xia’s merit points that you’ve already earned, which can be exchanged for many good things in the academy’s treasury.”

”Additionally, without enough credits, you can’t graduate from Shenxiao.”

”Since entering Shenxiao, more than a decade has passed, and there are students who can’t graduate because they don’t have enough credits.”

”Besides credits, there’s the ranking.”

”The higher your ranking, the better accommodation you’ll get, and the more free and easy your life at Shenxiao will be.”

”Moreover, ranking also affects the resources available for your growth.”

”Let’s take the Breakthrough Magic Crystal you’re familiar with as an example.”

”As long as you reach a ranking of B or higher at Shenxiao, this thing will even be given to you daily. Additionally, the exclusive dungeons you’re assigned when entering Shenxiao offer different aura bonuses based on your ranking.”

”Some dungeons can’t even be entered if you don’t have the corresponding ranking.”

”So, in the future, if you want to do well in a place full of geniuses, you must try to elevate your ranking as much as possible.”

In fact, when Li Yuanjing began explaining,

Lin Yi had already guessed roughly about the ranking system.

Because in his past life, such a system was too common everywhere.

In short, those with high rankings enjoy this world.

Those without high rankings can only serve those who do.

It’s that simple.

Li Yuanjing led Lin Yi inside the huge building, and as soon as they entered, Lin Yi heard an overwhelming wave of cheers and shouts.

At a glance, this didn’t look like a university registration center.

It looked more like an arena!

The surroundings were layered with seating areas completely filled with spectators.

And the arena was divided into dozens of large and small stages.

Below the main platform at the front was a giant Spirit Crystal projection screen.

It displayed exciting battle scenes from one of the stage matches.

A Warrior Class and a Knight Class were locked in fierce combat.

The Warrior, clad in silver armor, wielded a giant axe, and each strike was terrifyingly powerful!

On the other side, the Knight rode a warhorse, wielding a lance, displaying incredibly high-level skills, maneuvering with charges in the not-so-large area.

Both sides were engaged in an intense exchange, thoroughly enjoying the fight.

Lin Yi also noticed on the sides of the big screen, the combat information for both fighters was displayed.

[Yu Jingcheng]

[Year: 2]

[Level: LV.125]

[Job Change: Fourth Transition]

[Department: Chiyou (Fire Sequence)]

[Days Enrolled: 769!]

[Task Experience: E-grade-164 times, D-grade-369 times, C-grade-441 times, B-grade-87 times, A-grade-3 times!]

[Rank: C-grade!]

[Position: 3742nd!]

That was the Warrior Class wielding the giant axe.

He was already at the fourth transition stage.

And he was only a sophomore.

Instantly, Lin Yi got a sense of the overall strength of Shenxiao’s students.

A fourth transition fighter, outside, would be called a big shot in many guilds.

But here, he’s only ranked in the three-thousands of C-grade.

Shenxiao has too many strong people!

”Hey hey hey, you new student over there!”

”Yes, you, are you also here to register?”

”Hurry up, the ranking competition is about to start, come and register!”

Lin Yi was engrossed, suddenly hearing a shout from not far away, so he looked over.

He realized that he was the one being called.

”Go on, good luck!” Li Yuanjing smiled, patting Lin Yi on the back before climbing the stairs to the stands, intending to observe Lin Yi’s ranking process.

”Which school did you graduate from?” The one handling registration was a middle-aged man.

At the moment, he was examining Lin Yi with scrutinizing eyes.

”Uh...”

”Professor, I don’t understand what you mean.”

Lin Yi was puzzled as to why the professor would ask this.

”I’m asking where you graduated from. You don’t even know your own school!!”

The middle-aged professor clearly had a quick temper.

His words carried a hint of anger at that moment.

But the next moment, when he swiped Lin Yi’s Crystal Card through the card reader, the information that popped up made him dumbfounded!

”Are you Lin Yi?”

”I was wrong earlier, sorry, you’re too special, having just joined this year.”

”No problem.” Lin Yi shook his head.

He didn’t mind it.

He also understood why the professor asked that question earlier.

Because, for Shenxiao, new students are usually super elites from other academies nationwide.

He himself was an exception among exceptions.

”Alright, your registration is complete, you can enter!”

”Oh, I was too rushed, sorry, I forgot to explain the specific rules to you.”

”My bad!”

Lin Yi was about to leave when he was called back.

He was wondering if the professor should explain the ranking rules.

”Here’s how it works, Lin Yi.”

”You’re participating in the Freshmen Ranking Competition, consisting of three battles.”

”In the first two battles, you’ll enter a special Phantom Dungeon. In the first battle, you’ll face monsters.”

”In the second battle, the Illusion Realm system will generate a dummy based on your performance in the first battle by randomly selecting one of our academy students for a 1V1 battle against you.”

”If you win the second battle, for the third battle, you’ll enter Shenxiao Arena’s stage!”

”Then you get to select a student with your ideal rank and position to have a 1V1 battle. If you win, you take over their current rank and position!”

”Understand?”

Lin Yi nodded.

Then he stepped into the field.

The middle-aged professor let out a sigh of relief.

Good thing he apologized in time. Otherwise, he might have offended a Super Freshman, whom the academy leadership made an exception for breaking a century-old rule to specially recruit.

Leaving the registration desk, the middle-aged professor looked towards the arena’s big screen.

He was utterly shocked!

The big screen showed none other than the freshman he sent into the first two ranking battles earlier, Lin Yi!

Huh?

He checked his watch.

It’s only been how long??

minute??

This kid passed the first two rounds directly??

But why is the arena’s director choosing to focus on him?

This can only mean that the current battle must be the focal point!

Who did this kid choose??

Under the middle-aged professor’s increasingly incredulous gaze, Lin Yi’s opponent information appeared boldly on the right side of the big screen.

[Lin Yi] VS [Yu Jingcheng]!

Huh??

Second transition fighting fourth transition??

Isn’t this kid too reckless?!
