I AM A MAGE BUT WITH MILF SYSTEM

Chapter 265: Purpose of Life

The feast soon ended and Hanu eagerly guided Julian to his room.

”Big brother, this is my room,” he said with excitement, pointing to a small but cozy space. ”You can sleep on the bed. Iʼll take the floor.”

Julian chuckled, shaking his head. ”No need, Hanu. Iʼll sleep on the floor. The bed is yours.”

Despite Hanuʼs protests, Julian insisted and settled onto the floor, which had been arranged with warm, soft fabric to provide some comfort. The room was quiet except for the faint sounds village outside.

As they lay in silence, the calm of the night was broken by Hanuʼs low voice. ”Big brother...” he said.

Julian opened his eyes in the darkness, turning slightly towars the boy. ”Yes, Hanu?”

There was a pause for a moment, as if Hanu was carefully choosing his words. Then he asked softly, ”Big brother, what is the purpose of life?”

The unexpected depth of the question startled Julian and for a moment, he was silent.

How could such a young boy ask something so profound? he thought.

As Julian lay on the floor, staring up at the ceiling, Hanuʼs question lingered in the air. After a moment of silence, Julian turned his head toward the young boy.

”Thatʼs not the question you should be asking, Hanu,” Julian said, his voice calm and thoughtful.

Hanu was surprised and he sat up slightly. ”Why, Brother Julian? What is wrong with asking about life?”

Julianʼs gaze turned distant, ”The question you should be searching the answer for isnʼt the purpose of life,” he explained, his tone serious, ”but rather the purpose of your life.”

Hanu blinked, clearly trying to process the difference between the two. He frowned, unable to grasp Julianʼs words.

”Whatʼs the difference?” he asked. ”I donʼt understand.”

”The life that you lead is hugely different from others, Hanu,” Julian explained. ”Your surroundings, your environment, your lifestyle, your thinking—everything differs from someone elseʼs. Not many can walk the path that others have walked, and they do not need to. Each of us has our own path, a unique journey that we must find and walk.”

Hanuʼs brow furrowed further, his youthful mind struggling to piece it all together. He looked down at his hands, as if searching for some kind of answer.

”What is the purpose of your life, Brother?” he asked, his voice laced with genuine curiosity.

Julian chuckled lightly with a smile playing on his lips. ”I donʼt know, actually,” he admitted.

”Iʼm still learning, just like you. But if I have to say, I think leading a life that welcomes me with a fine morning and soothes me with a fine night is enough.”

Hanu laid back, contemplating Julianʼs words. He didnʼt fully understand it completely, but the simplicity of Julianʼs answer felt strangely profound.

Julianʼs smile faded slightly, and his tone grew more serious. ”Hanu,” he said, ”donʼt focus too much on how things are. Donʼt live in the uncertain future, and donʼt let your past haunt your present. The future is unknown, and the past is behind you. What matters the most is your present.”

Hanu listened intently, his expression softening as Julianʼs words began to sink in. He hadnʼt thought about it that way before.

”Now go to sleep, Hanu,” Julian said softly. ”There is a fine morning waiting for all of us tomorrow.”

Hanu smiled, his heart lightened by Julianʼs words. They felt unnaturally embracing and soothing, as if they wrapped him in a gentle comfort. He quickly prayed to the god of his tribe before closing his eyes.

Julian chuckled quietly, listening to the rhythmic breath of Hanu as he slowly fell asleep.

His expression suddenly shifted, the warmth fading as a chilling, ruthless intent flashed in his eyes. He stared at the ceiling, his body tensing as his aura flared slightly.

”What do you think you are doing?” he asked, his voice low and dangerous.

Suddenly, a figure became visible on the ceiling. It was dark and almost blending into the night, but there were two glowing eyes piercing through the darkness. It was Dakota, Hanuʼs mother.

She spoke, her voice sharp and commanding, ”Who are you, and what do you want with our tribe?”

”I already told you that I wandered here,” Julian replied immediately, his voice cold and unwavering.

Dakota scoffed, her eyes narrowing. ”Bullshit. Donʼt expect me to believe that.”

Julianʼs expression remained unchanged. ”Come out,” he commanded before he teleported out of the village, appearing in the dense forest.

For a moment, Dakota hesitated as shock flickered across her face. Then, with a sudden movement, she joined him in the woods. The air around them seemed heavy with tension as she appeared before him.

Without warning, she lunged at Julian, pinning him against one of the trees.

”Tell me who you are and what your motive is,” she demanded, her voice harsh, filled with suspicion.

Julian simply laughed, the sound echoing in the still night. ”Wow, thatʼs a huge change from just a moment ago,” he said with amusement. ”Where did the calm and warm mother go to?”

Dakotaʼs eyes flashed with anger, her grip tightening around him. ”Youʼre not answering my question.”

Julianʼs smile widened as he stared into her fierce eyes. ”Maybe Iʼm just enjoying the show.”

Dakota pushed Julian harder against the tree, her anger flaring. ”You do not know what you have come across, so you better run while you have the chance,” she warned.

Julian chuckled in amusement. ”What a cute little threat,” he said, his eyes flicking down to her breasts for a brief moment. ”Well, not so little if I have to say.”

Dakota, clearly irritated, immediately released him and stepped back. ”Have some manners,” she snapped, her face flushed with a mix of anger and disbelief.

Julian smiled. ”Apologies, I couldnʼt resist,” he teased.

Dakotaʼs demeanor shifted again, her expression now sharp and dangerous. ”If you do not fear your life, then stay. Otherwise, leave.”

For a brief moment, Julian was caught off guard by the seriousness of her words. The playful edge in his tone vanished, replaced by a curiosity.

”What do you mean?” he asked.

But Dakota didnʼt answer. Without a word, she turned and immediately teleported back to the village, leaving Julian standing in the woods. Something about her was different and her warning held a depth that he hadnʼt expected.

Julian stood still for a moment as he observed the village. There was nothing unusual, no hidden danger lurking. The village appeared exactly as it had when he first arrived—simple, serene, with the same warmth radiating from the homes and the same lively sounds of chatter and laughter.

Despite that, he could not help Dakotaʼs words echoing in his mind.

What was she truly warning him about?

Julian shook his head, brushing aside the lingering thoughts, and made his way back to Hanuʼs room. He settled onto the floor, his eyes closing as he drifted into sleep.

The next morning, he was jolted awake by the sound of Hanuʼs eager voice. The boy was already tugging at his arm, pulling him up.

”Come on, Brother Julian! Letʼs go! Iʼll show you everything!” he said, his excitement infectious.

Julian groaned, rubbing his eyes, but couldnʼt help the smile that crept onto his face. The two of them set out exploring the village, with Hanu enthusiastically introducing Julian to everyone.

As Julian and Hanu wandered through the village, Julian sensed strange unease washing over him. On the surface, everything appeared normal, but there was a heavy atmosphere that hung in the air. It was subtle, yet undeniable.

He couldnʼt quite pinpoint what it was. His instincts told him that there was more to this village than met the eye. The vibrant energy felt like a facade, hiding something darker.

Julian turned to Hanu, his voice serious. ”What is actually going on here?” he asked, his gaze scanning the people around them as if searching for answers.

Hanu, oblivious to the shift in Julianʼs demeanor, stared at him. ”What do you mean, Brother Julian?” he asked, confused by the sudden seriousness in Julianʼs voice.

Julian quickly composed himself. He glanced at Hanu, who was still cheerful and oblivious, before muttering, ”Nothing,” and letting the conversation drop.

As the morning passed, the two of them ate breakfast together. After a while, Julian made his way to Hanuʼs room, sitting into a meditative position. He concentrated and started absorbing mana After some time, he opened his eyes satisfied.

”Letʼs see the changes that have taken place in my world,” he murmured to himself, before closing his eyes.

With a deep breath, he teleported into his own world, appearing on the lush mountain that served as the center of his power.

He flew and headed towards the void, the space where the cosmic and death energies were in constant conflict.

As he arrived, he noticed Guard 2, observing the void intently.

Guard 2, recognizing Julianʼs presence, gave a slight bow.

Julianʼs gaze then shifted, observing the battle between the golden and black energies in the void. The conflict between the cosmic and death energies was more powerful and dangerous than before.

His eyes narrowed as he focused, spotting faint traces of dust floating in the air.

He turned to Guard 2 and asked, ”What is that dust? Tell me what has happened here.”

Guard 2ʼs voice was steady as he explained, ”Since you left, the energies have been interacting continuously. The number of minor explosions is 100 million, and the number of major explosions is 8. After every major explosion, dust seems to emit, which then slowly concentrates and revolves around the energies. Apart from that, nothing significant has happened.”

Julianʼs eyes widened at the revelation. His mind raced as he processed the information. He murmured to himself, ”It seems I am getting closer and closer to the concept of creation and destruction.”

Julianʼs curiosity deepened as he questioned, ”And what have you observed about creation and destruction?”

Guard 2 hesitated for a moment, then spoke, ”Iʼve noticed one unusual pattern. The dust that accumulated after the first four major explosions suddenly turned back into energy during the fifth explosion.”

He paused, considering his next words carefully. ”But after that, the upcoming explosions released more concentrated and solid dust in larger volumes.”

Julianʼs eyes lit up, a wide smile spreading across his face. ”Yes, yes, yes! This is it!” he exclaimed, almost unable to contain his excitement.

”We finally found a breakthrough.” His tone grew more serious as he continued, ”It seems that during the battle of creation and destruction, the major explosions are signs of a small stalemate—where neither side is overwhelming the other. As a result, matter, or in this case, dust, is formed.”

His mind raced with the implications of this new discovery, realizing that the balance between creation and destruction was more intricate than he had ever imagined.
