High Martial Arts: Enlightenment after Practices

Chapter 27: Chapter 27: Life Energy Level 11.0

The moment Xu Wuyi finished practicing the final move of the >, [Back Wind Sweep], and stood with his spear at rest, an indescribable sense of fulfillment washed over him.

He realized that he had reached the Entry Level for this C-Level Spear Technique.

Almost as soon as the thought arose, the [Martial Arts Diligence Record], which had long been dormant in the depths of his sea of consciousness, suddenly began to glow faintly.

Xu Wuyi’s heart skipped a beat, and his consciousness immediately sank into it.

The ancient Bronze Scroll slowly unfurled. On the panel that had previously only recorded the > and the >, several new lines of text had now appeared:

[Martial Arts Diligence Record]

Martial Arts: Basic Body Refining Technique

Current Realm: Minor Achievement (3.5%)

Martial Arts Traits: Not Unlocked

Assessment: Deep foundation, abundant Qi and Blood.

Visualization Method: Moving Mountains

Current Realm: Second Layer (22.1%)

Assessment: Spiritual barriers further broken, perception is keener.

Martial Arts: Wind-Settling Spear

Current Realm: Entry Level (0%)

Martial Arts Traits: Not Unlocked

Assessment: Just scratching the surface, but already showing promise.

[New Martial Art > detected. Meets recording criteria. Henceforth, cultivation of the > can also trigger the ’Hundred Chances of Enlightenment’ effect.]

Looking at the words that had clearly appeared on the panel, especially that final line, Xu Wuyi’s heart leaped. A tremendous wave of joy and excitement rushed through him.

’It worked!’

The > failing to be recognized by the panel had left him with a slight sense of regret. He had even begun to suspect that only ”training methods” and not ”combat techniques” could be recorded.

Now, the successful recording of the > not only proved his suspicions wrong but also meant he had another shortcut on his path to becoming a powerhouse!

Although Xu Wuyi wouldn’t rely entirely on the [Martial Arts Diligence Record], he certainly wouldn’t refuse anything that could help him improve.

He had already experienced the effect of ’Hundred Chances of Enlightenment’ countless times with the >, so he knew just how terrifyingly efficient it was.

The fact that this effect could now be applied to his Spear Technique practice would undoubtedly shorten the time it took for him to master the weapon.

Driven by intense excitement, he barely paused before once again assuming the Starting Form of the >, the [Army Stabilization Form].

’Since the effective cultivation starts counting from now,’ he thought, ’I can’t waste a single second.’

Focusing his consciousness on the > section of the panel, Xu Wuyi concentrated fully and began to practice the three Spear Technique forms he had just learned, over and over.

[Army Stabilization Form] was as steady as a boulder, [Cloud-Breaking Stab] was as fast as lightning, and [Back Wind Sweep] was as impenetrable as a wall.

With every movement, he strove for perfection, pouring all his Entry Level understanding into his practice.

Sure enough, after he completed his first ’standard’ practice session recognized by the panel, the proficiency number after > ticked up ever so slightly, changing to 0.1%.

At the same time, the familiar counter appeared below: [Standard Practice Sessions Completed Today: 1].

Xu Wuyi’s spirits soared. He cast aside all distracting thoughts and completely immersed himself in the world of the Spear Technique.

In the sterile white virtual room, only the sound of the young man’s steady breathing and the whistle of the spear cutting through the air remained.

Ten times, thirty times, fifty times...

Sweat soaked his virtual avatar’s clothes, and his arms trembled slightly from the continuous exertion, but Xu Wuyi’s eyes only grew brighter.

He didn’t use the Battle Network’s function to reset his fatigue. Instead, he let his Spirit adapt to the exhaustion.

His understanding of the > deepened rapidly under such high-intensity, focused training.

The moment the [Standard Practice Sessions Completed Today] counter hit [100], that familiar feeling descended once more!

[One hundred effective practice sessions completed today. You have gained one ’Enlightenment’.]

A cool, vast torrent of insight swept through his consciousness. The various key points of the > gradually became clear, and even its core philosophy—’Immovable as a mountain, plundering like fire’—surged into his mind.

This Enlightenment didn’t last long—after all, he was only at the Entry Level of the > and his foundation was still shallow—but the effects were immediate.

When Xu Wuyi emerged from that profound state and gripped his spear again, it felt completely different.

The spear felt like an extension of his arm.

With a single thought, he executed a [Cloud-Breaking Stab]. The spear tip vibrated, letting out a sharp whistle. Its speed and power were more than a notch higher than before his Enlightenment!

He eagerly looked at the panel.

[Wind-Settling Spear Current Realm: Entry Level (20.3%)]

One session of a hundred repetitions, plus one Enlightenment, had directly boosted his proficiency by over 20%!

Xu Wuyi couldn’t help but clench his fist tightly.

’At this rate,’ he thought, ’it probably won’t take long for me to reach the Minor Success Realm with the >!’

...

For the next two days, Xu Wuyi temporarily stopped taking Qi Blood Potions, focusing all his energy on consolidating his Spear Technique and his daily practice of the >.

Perhaps it was the result of long accumulation, or maybe it was just a natural culmination.

One evening, just as he had pushed his proficiency with the > to around 35% of the Entry Level, he finished a complete practice session of the >. Suddenly, the Qi and Blood surging within him accelerated on its own, as if it had broken through some invisible shackles!

BOOM!

A torrent of heat, more intense than ever before, erupted from the depths of his Dantian and instantly coursed through his entire body!

His bones emitted faint crackling sounds, his muscle fibers seemed to quietly tense and strengthen, and his skin turned slightly red as steam rose from his body.

An unprecedented feeling of ease and power filled his body.

It was as if some kind of shackle that had always bound him had been suddenly unlocked.

Xu Wuyi’s eyes snapped open, a sharp glint flashing through them before vanishing.

He subconsciously clenched his fists, feeling the Qi and Blood within him, which had clearly grown stronger and more condensed. An expression of incredulous joy appeared on his face.

’This is... Level 11!’

Life Energy Level 11!

He had finally crossed an important watershed in the Martial Disciple Stage!

Level 11 was a crucial threshold. Once a Martial Artist crossed it, their physical attributes would experience a period of rapid improvement.

After Level 11, the gap for every 0.1 increase in Life Energy Level would be more than three times greater than before.

For example, to a Martial Artist at Level 10.9 and one at 11.2, the difference in Life Energy Level might seem small, but the actual disparity in power was comparable to an entire level before reaching Level 11.

Among the exam candidates in previous years, the number of people in the Entire Federation who reached Level 11 was often greater than the total number of students admitted by the Three Greats and the Seven-Star Alliance.

This meant that a Life Energy Level of 11.0 was the basic requirement to even be considered for admission into these ten universities.

This was because during the combat portion of the exam, candidates were bound to encounter opponents above Level 11. Unless your Martial Arts were outrageously powerful, it was difficult to defeat someone of a higher level.

Besides the increase in his Life Energy Level, Xu Wuyi also clearly felt the proficiency of his >, which had been stuck for a long time, begin to climb slowly but steadily with this breakthrough.

The number climbed from Minor Achievement (3.5%) all the way to (4.1%), and the rate of growth was significantly faster than it had been before Level 11.

’The bottleneck has loosened...’ Xu Wuyi muttered to himself, a sudden realization dawning on him.

Before this, the proficiency gain for his > had slowed down significantly after reaching Minor Achievement. It now seemed it had been constrained by his Life Energy Level.

Level 11 brought not only an increase in his total Qi and Blood but also a subtle leap in his life’s very essence, allowing his body to bear and circulate Energy more efficiently. This, in turn, boosted his Martial Arts cultivation.

He carefully savored the changes in his body. The circulation of his Qi and Blood was much smoother, his five senses seemed a bit sharper, and even his Spirit felt clearer.

’No wonder they say Level 11 is a major hurdle. Only by crossing it do you truly open the great gate of Martial Arts...’
