Chapter 1722: Magic Lord Skeleton!

From MC’s Perspective

I began to observe the skeleton. The crystal skeleton was giving me a sense of danger. I approached the skeleton in the air.

When I got closer, the sense of crisis increased again. If I wasn’t wrong, something could happen if I were to touch the skeleton.

Then I continued to observe the skeleton. I spotted countless small runes hidden deep in the bones. The runes retained a trace of magic power.

I didn’t need to use the system function. From the magic power, it was confirmed that it was the skeleton of a supreme wizard.

Swoosh!

Then I went over to the other skeleton to check. The other skeleton turned out to be a crystal one, but it had traces of veins.

”Bloodline wizard,” I thought.

It had been a long time since I came across any bloodline wizard. Even at the magic city, I came across few bloodline wizards. It was hard to find someone with purple bloodline magic.

Then I used the system function to confirm the fact. It turned out that the skeleton in front of me was undoubtedly the corpse of a bloodline wizard.

Unfortunately, it was just a skeleton. Not a drop of the bloodline was left. It was as if something had sucked away everything. Suddenly, I felt cold on my back.

Then I glanced at the corpse of the mutilated giant in front of me. I dared not investigate this thing. I had already encountered a similar thing back at Sand Fall City.

But that existence turned out to be a magic war puppet. After countless ages, it killed the Magic Lord with a single eye beam.

If I did something similar here, it could trigger the danger. Then I collected my thoughts and continued to observe the skeletons one after another.

I was especially intrigued to find the skeleton of the Magic Lord. If possible, I wanted to take it back with me. If I could get the latter part of the Star inheritance of the puppet magic in the future, then it would be a great help.

After going through the other corpses, I stopped wasting time. I asked the system to find the corpse of the Magic Lord.

[Ding! The corpse of the Magic Lord is located 100 metres away. It is buried in the ground.]

The system voice sounded in my mind.

A quick gleam appeared in my eyes. Then I started looking around me. I spotted a dark hand stretching out from the ground’s surface.

The hand appeared to be small. When I arrived in front of the exact spot, I noticed that the hand was the hand of a 5-year-old child.

”What is the corpse of a child doing here?” I thought.

Could it be collateral damage? It was possible someone with a child fell here. Then I shook my head again. The system said that the corpse of the Magic Lord was here.

Then a terrible idea came to my mind. I hoped it was not true. I asked the system whether the child’s corpse was the corpse of the Magic Lord or not.

[Ding! It’s the corpse of the Magic Lord.]

A storm set off in my heart. My eyes were filled with disbelief as I stared at the child. Is it the corpse of a child, or some old monster returned to youth?

I finally got it. It must be an old monster with some type of physique-related magic. That’s why the physique was not developed.

After gaining some clarity in my thoughts, I was able to calm my heart down. For a second, I had lost my composure.

Then I shifted my attention to the corpse again. The system told me not to touch the ground. But it didn’t mean I couldn’t take away the corpse of the Magic Lord.

I thought of a brilliant idea. I went inside the Gregor Mansion.

A few seconds later, I appeared again outside. But this time I appeared with someone. The shrunken vine monster was in my right palm.

I had already asked the vine monster to conceal its magic presence, so not a trace of mana was leaking from the monster.

Then I ordered the vine monster to grab the small hand of the corpse and pull it.

Buzz!

The vine grew to a size similar to that of a child. Then it extended one of its body parts. The vine stretched before wrapping around the small hand.

Boom!

The next second, the vine monster tried to pull the corpse ahead. But the disturbance caused a huge commotion.

My gaze never left the giant. If something happened, I would enter the Gregor Mansion.

Boom!

The vine monster continued to pull up. There was some success. But the sense of danger increased. If there was any further delay, then something could happen.

As the seconds went by, the calm black water stirred. There was something going on in the black water. My expression was solemn.

Cold sweat beads covered my head. The vine monster was doing a fine job. It was close to pulling out the corpse.

But I was having this feeling that something would happen. Otherwise, the black water wouldn’t stir.

Boom!

A few seconds later, an explosion occurred. Something burst open from the black water. A giant black hand was floating above the black water.

Seeing that, I stared at it in disbelief. The ancient thing is still alive. A sense of horror appeared in my heart.

At the same time, the vine monster communicated with me. It had succeeded.

The mana coercion from the corpse of the Magic Lord spread across the place.

Swoosh!

The next second, I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion.

Boom!

The coercion appeared in the middle of the hall. Otto, Hank, and Patrick just saw the corpse of the child.

The next second, a powerful coercion hit them. They all slumped to the ground.

Even the Vine Monster was facing terror.

My gaze fell on the child’s corpse. Its other palm was holding something. The vine monster was holding the hand, but its vine body part cracked.

Seeing that, my expression changed drastically. I told Vine to let go.

Boom!

The corpse of the child dropped onto the ground. The coercion then spread across the room. The whole mansion was an unknown magic artifact; it withstood the power easily.
