Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Chapter 1463: Part 1: Bracing for another storm

Magic City:

All the magic towers have instructed their top wizard seeds. If they managed to defeat Vincent Carey, then they would get rewards. But they have also been reminded that only elite wizards can challenge Vincent Carey.

Because Vincent Carey would defeat others, when the wizard seeds got the news, they were happy. Normally, they wonʼt fight against the wizard seeds of the Silver Tower because everyone is part of the Mage Union.

Yet this time, their wizard tower is motivating them. This news soon reached the respective wizard families. Some of the families seriously rejected this idea. Already, the Doyle Family was suffering. Their family members had challenged Vincent Carey, and they lost the fight.

Not only were they humiliated. They went from the top families to the bottom-ranked families quickly. Now the Doyle Family has lost their influence. They donʼt want to be the second Doyle Family.

But some wizard families were stronger than the Doyle Family. These families are so strong, which means the entire family did not depend on one or two of their younger generation. These families have their level-9 Wizards and Supreme Wizards as members of different magic towers.

So they are stronger than many wizard families.

…

From MCʼs Perspective:

I woke up the next morning. Then I spent time on the morning routine. I forgot about yesterdayʼs bad episode. I spent the last day in bed browsing online stuff. Forbidden Wizard Charlotte didnʼt allow me to go outside. Otherwise, I would have gone to the bookstore.

Old man Martin has more knowledge. If I spend more time with him, then I will be able to learn more about the magic city. After collecting my thoughts, I left the room and went to the mana chamber.

When I got there, a surprise was already waiting for me. A person is sitting inside the room. He appears to be waiting for someone.

Then I entered the room to use the mana chamber. The person turned toward me. Then I saw his face and recognised him.

A hint of anger appeared in my eyes the next moment. The person is none other than level-9 Wizard Hugo.

He is certainly not here for practice. He seems to be waiting for me. I ignored him and turned towards the mana chamber and started walking up to it. MyVirtualLibraryEmpire(M-VLEMPYR)

Just before I could open the mana chamber. Someone suddenly walked in and stood in front of the door.

The person is none other than Hugo. My heart turned cold.

”Senior, I have no enmity with you. Why are you doing this?” I asked him.

Hugo was surprised. He didnʼt expect the new wizard seed to ask him questions. He smiled and said,” Itʼs true that we donʼt have enmity. But someone has.”

Hearing that, I was surprised. The only person that I have enmity with is the Meteor Supreme.

I said,” Donʼt you think I might report to Manager Lara. You were bullying me right now.”

Hugo cracked a wide grin.

He said,” Iʼm one of the official members of the Silver Tower. I have more rights than you. As long as I donʼt do too much, Iʼm free.”

My heart stirred. This guy was adamant about treating me badly. It appears that the Meteor Supreme had paid for him. But Iʼm not afraid.

Itʼs just that I donʼt want to be exposed. My strength has already reached its limit. Only my core progression is lacking.

At my current level, with a magic spell amplifier, I can defeat this guy. But I donʼt want to do that.

I turned around and went to use another chamber. But he came again to block me. An unknown rage grows in my heart.

If it were old me, I would have already planned to remove him. But here the existence of Fate Wizards made me humble.

The Fate Wizard can learn the truth. I donʼt want to attract their attention. So I calmed down. I looked at the middle-aged man, Hugo, before turning around to leave.

Hugo stood there with a grin on his face. He has succeeded in stopping the wizard seed from practising. At the same time, after walking out I started going back to my room

He wonʼt dare to come there to disturb me. But Iʼm sure if I stay here, the middle-aged man named Hugo would find an opportunity to cause trouble.

Soon, I returned to my room and shut the door. Then I went to bed to lie down.

Meanwhile,

Hugo left the mana chamber as well. He doesnʼt think that the new wizard seed would come here to practice again. Because he has already spoiled the mood of that brat. With a grin on his face, he went back to his room.

..

Time passed,

It was post noon, and Manager Lara thought about Vincent Carey. She knows that no new unidentified items have come here. So there is no job left for Vincent Carey to do.

He knows that Lord Charlotte had not allowed him to leave as well. So she decides to speak to him. She thinks Vincent might be bored.

When she calls him. Vincent Carey didnʼt pick up her call. She tried a few times before giving up. She then made up her mind to call him again later.

Meanwhile,

Wilfred Cox was able to get new intel through his connections. He was able to learn that different Magic Towers have motivated their Wizard Seeds to challenge Vincent Carey.

If they defeat Vincent Carey, then they can get rewards. Wilfred immediately recalled the Doyle Familyʼs situation. He thinks that things are repeating themselves. But this time the situation is different.

The intel he got was that some of the powerful familiesʼ descendants were interested in Vincent Carey as well.

Wilfred Cox came to realise that Vincent Carey had become the centre of attention because of the incident.

The Wind Elemental Tower had suffered damage in the end. But Vincent Carey was able to survive.
