Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Chapter 1366: Part 2: Overwhelming support to Tom Doyle

From MCʼs Perspective:

After returning to my room, I began to get ready. It didnʼt take long for me to take a cold bath. I stepped out about 20 minutes later. Then I changed into fresh clothes and wore the Silver Tower Mage robe on top.

A few minutes later,

I came to the lobby and informed Manager Lara. She immediately arrived upon hearing my call. I thought she was nervous for the duel as well.

”Vincent, are you ready?” Lara asked.

She didnʼt know how well the newcomer was prepared.

Hearing that, I smiled and replied, ”Lord Lara, donʼt worry. I will defeat him.”

Lara sighed inwardly. She didnʼt know where his confidence came from. Since last night, there had been overwhelming support for Tom Doyle.

She found that betting was open at the Magic Arena as well. She then turned towards Vincent.

”Apart from the duel, the Magic Arena also conducts betting. People have placed their bets on Tom Doyle. So far, no one has made a bet on you,” Lara said.

My eyes flickered. I almost forgot that itʼs a good way to make money.

”Lord Lara, can I borrow money from you?” I asked her.

Lara was amused. She asked, ”Are you going to place a bet on yourself?”

She was confident in Vincentʼs appraisal skills, so she was not worried about the money.

”How much do you want to bet?” she asked.

”Whatʼs the maximum amount?” I asked back.

”The maximum amount allowed is 100 million super-grade mana stones. But I donʼt have that much money,” she said.

A hint of disappointment flashed in my eyes.

Buzz!

Suddenly, Lara received a call from Lord Charlotte. Seeing that, Lara answered the call.

”Whatʼs going on?”

”Hasnʼt he left yet?” Charlotte asked from the other side of the call.

”Lord, we are still at the Silver Tower. Wizard Seed Vincent Carey needs money to make a bet on himself,” Lara said.

”Oh! Is he that confident?” Charlotte asked.

”Yes, Lord. Vincent Carey sounds confident. Itʼs just that I donʼt have that much money,” Lara replied with a helpless smile.

”In that case, donʼt worry about the money. Iʼll place three bets in his name. If he wins, then we will make more money. If he loses, then I will order him to use his appraisal skills more,” After saying that, Charlotte ended the call.

On the other hand, I heard their conversation. My heart was excited. Iʼm going to win the duel for sure. At the same time, Iʼm going to make money as well.

The lack of resources problem is going to end today.

”Letʼs go,” Lara said.

Hearing that, I nodded to her. Then we exited the Silver Tower. When we came outside, Lord Lara brought her own flying car.

The modern flying car was in front of us. Then I opened the door to enter the back seat while she sat in the driverʼs seat.

Swoosh!

The flying car rose from the ground. She started driving towards the Magic Arena. In the back seat, I watched the outside scenes through the window.

I had never been to the Magic Arena before, but I was sure a lot of powerful wizards were paying attention to the duel.

About 20 minutes later,

We arrived at the Magic Arena. Itʼs a massive building structure. A large number of spectators can sit and watch the duel.

When the car landed, I stepped out. Then I looked around and noticed that people were entering through different routes. So this place was not crowded.

Lara stepped out of the car and put her car back into the storage bracelet.

”Letʼs go inside. Everyone must be waiting for you,” Lara said.

I smiled and started following her from behind. We entered the office, where I saw an old man waiting for us. His gaze immediately fell on me.

”You must be the new Wizard Seed of Silver Tower. My name is Garrett. Iʼm the manager here,” the old man said.

Hearing that, I was stunned. Then I quickly greeted him.

Lara took this opportunity to discuss the rules.

Manager Garrettʼs expression became serious. He knew that Tom Doyle knew the rules, but he wasnʼt sure about this young man.

He said, ”Wizard Seed Vincent, the rules are strict. No external items are allowed. Such as magic artifacts, poison, and some evil methods.”

”More importantly, killings are not allowed. But wizards are free to use their magic. There are no restrictions on magic spells.”

”In case you feel threatened by a magic spell, then you should forfeit before itʼs too late,” Garrett said in a serious tone.

Hearing that, I thanked him for explaining the rules. But I knew the meaning behind his last words. He wanted me to quit before it was too late.

”Now that the rules have been explained to you, you can enter the duel platform. The barrier will be activated once both of you enter the platform.”

”The barrier wonʼt be lifted until one of you admits defeat,” Garrett said.

”Okay,” I replied.

”Lord Lara, Iʼm going,” After saying that to her, I started walking towards the arena through the entrance before me.

”What do you think?”

”Who is going to win?” Garrett asked.

”Iʼm from the Silver Tower. Of course, the Silver Tower is going to win,” Lara said before leaving the room. She was going to join Lord Charlotte.

Manager Garrett was stunned. Then he shook his head. Like others, he thought Tom Doyle was going to win.

On the other hand, I entered the Magic Arena calmly. I saw a wide duel platform filled with white tiles, but there was no sign of Tom Doyle at all.

Iʼm sure he is waiting for me. Itʼs just that he didnʼt plan on making an appearance before me. As I started walking towards the platform.

Cheers!

A deafening noise greeted me. I raised my head to look at the viewing area. Hundreds of thousands of wizards filled the seats. My eyes flickered.

”Where did this number of wizards come from?” I asked myself in my heart.
