Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Chapter 1349: Part 1: Spar

From MCʼs Perspective:

Duel Room,

Lara is hesitating whether to allow the duel or not. She then looks at Vincent Carey.

”Are you sure?” she asks.

Hearing that, I sigh inwardly. I know why she is confused. She had warned me before. But I had changed my mind after hearing his request at the last moment.

”Manager Lara, Iʼm ready,” I tell her.

”Then you guys should know the rules. Killing and serious injury are not allowed,” Lara says in a serious tone.

”Letʼs start. Iʼm tired of waiting,” Jason Nicholson says.

Hearing that, I followed him to the glass duel platform. After entering, we should stand opposite each other. Then I see Manager Lara operating something.

Buzz!

The magic formations all over the glass dome structure disappear. Seeing that, my eyes gleam with a twinkle.

”The glass dome structure is covered with formations. It can even withstand the attacks of a Magic Lord. So donʼt hold back,” Jason Nicholson says in a cold tone.

His calm demeanor disappears, replaced by an ugly look, as if he canʼt wait to tear me apart.

”Whatʼs with this guy?” I think to myself.

[Ding! Killing intent detected.]

[Host, itʼs advised to be careful.]

A mechanical voice sounds in my mind.

My eyes turn icy the next moment. I should have expected this reaction. He did come with ill intentions.

”If anyone admits defeat, the duel is over. Right now, Iʼm recording the duel officially. So both wizard seeds should be careful not to harm your opponent,” Lara says to them.

She has noticed something wrong with Jason Nicholsonʼs expression. She doesnʼt know whether Vincent Carey is aware or not.

On the other hand, I hear her words. I nod to her before looking at Jason Nicholson. Since he is a physique-type wizard, I wonʼt let him near me.

Jason Nicholson canʼt wait to use his power. He wants to defeat Vincent Carey. Then only can he save face in front of the other wizard seeds.

When it comes to his earlier mention of Tom Doyle, he was wary of the newcomer. But that doesnʼt mean he was afraid of Vincent Carey.

[Countdown starts: 1...2...3...]

[Duel starts!]

”Indestructible Force!”

Jason casts his magic spell by punching forward.

Boom!

A powerful force is released from his right fist. It immediately shoots at Vincent Carey with a booming sound.

The whole glass dome structure begins to shake.

Outside,

Manager Laraʼs expression changes. She knows this spell can shatter the bones and inner organs of the enemies. She doesnʼt know whether Vincent Careyʼs magic spell can stop it.

Meanwhile,

”Repulsive Force!”

I cast the 4th stage of the magic spell. It is an instant cast magic spell.

Boom!

A powerful force erupts from my body with a loud sound. The next second, it starts to sweep away the surroundings.

In the blink of an eye, the two forces collide.

Boom!

A deafening noise erupts.

The repulsive force shatters the indestructible force and begins to move toward Jason Nicholson.

Jason Nicholson immediately feels a sense of crisis. His eyes widened in disbelief. Before he can think further, the repulsive force strikes his body.

Boom!

Jason Nicholson feels the impact. His body is sent flying back before smashing into the glass walls. The formations light up before disappearing. The glass walls remain unharmed.

Yet Jason Nicholson drops to the ground. His indestructible physique is hurt. He is feeling pain for the first time.

Except during his family training, he hasnʼt felt pain anywhere. This was the first time someone caused him pain during a duel.

That too at the hands of the newcomer. Jason Nicholson tries to stand up despite the heart-wrenching pain.

Outside,

Lara is dumbstruck; her jaw almost drops to the ground. What has she witnessed? Jason Nicholson has been sent flying.

If Vincent Carey uses the magic spell, then there could be no suspense in the duel. She then notices that the recording is underway.

Inside the platform, I see Jason Nicholson trying to get up. My eyes flash with surprise. If it were any other wizard, they would be completely squashed.

But this guy can stand up. I am truly impressed.

”Gravity Field!”

I cast next 4th stage of the magic spell. The next second, a powerful gravitational force appears. The pressure is immediately applied to Jason Nicholsonʼs body.

Boom!

A deafening sound occurs as the gravitational force collides with Jason Nicholsonʼs body.

Argh!

A low, muffled grunt escapes Jason Nicholsonʼs mouth. The sudden powerful pressure makes him bend his body.

Jasonʼs eyes widened in disbelief. He can feel a powerful weight on his back. As time passes, he senses the weight increasing. He canʼt move his body at this moment.

On the other hand, my eyes flash with a gleam. For the first time, Iʼm seeing someone at the same level withstand the power of my magic spell.

Truly, the magic city is a place for the gathering of powerful wizards. If Jason Nicholson is this much stronger, then what about the other wizard seeds?

Boom!

I continue to maintain the power of the magic spell.

Jason Nicholson bends his knees to alleviate the pressure. But he can still feel the increase in the power of the gravity magic.

Without moving from the spot, the newcomer has made him like this.

A hint of anger appears in Jason Nicholsonʼs eyes.

”Indestructible Boost!”

The strength of the indestructible physique increases because of the magic boost.

Boom!

A deafening noise occurs as he stands up abruptly. The impact force brought by his spell clashes against the upward gravitational force.

The aftermath sweeps away the duel platform before hitting the glass walls. The magic formations light up before neutralizing the power.

Outside,

Manager Lara is going through shocking emotions. She had underestimated Vincent Carey. Without moving from his spot, he is causing damage to Jason Nicholson.

She knows if the other wizard seeds learn about this, it would cause an uproar.

As time passes, the gravitational force increases inside the platform. I can feel the gravity mana depleting at a faster rate.

On the other hand, Jason Nicholson is using the power of the second spell to withstand the gravitational power. His mana is depleting at a faster rate as well.

He doesnʼt want to lose to the newcomer. His internal organs are rupturing. The pain is heart-wrenching. Yet he is standing against the gravitational pressure.

This pain is nothing, especially since he has endured this kind of pain before during his training. As time passes, blood leaks from his body.

If he persists for long, it might cause serious injury to his organs. He might have to be bedridden. But Jason Nicholson is ready to face anything.

One of the benefits of the Indestructible Physique is that his injuries will heal over time, even if itʼs a serious injury to the body.

On the other hand, my expression darkens. For the first time, I feel challenged. This guy is withstanding the gravitational force.

With a thought, the status panel appears in front of me.

Seeing that the gravity mana reserve has fallen below 500, my chest tightens. He is withstanding the power of the 4th stage of the magic spell.

I could use Gravity Domain and Gravity Field of Time Delay. But these two magic spells are far more lethal. They could kill him. At least, his mana core would collapse.

Since itʼs a spar, Iʼm not going to use dangerous spells. I have to rely on the Gravity Field. I hope this guy collapses on the ground before my gravity mana runs out.

Then I dismiss the status panel before continuing the power of the Gravity Field.

Aaaaahhh!

Jason Nicholson finally let out a scream. He feels more pain in his body.

Outside,

Magic Lord Laraʼs expression changes drastically. Itʼs the first time she is witnessing something like this.
