Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

From MC’s Perspective:

The following day,

I got ready and left for the job. But shortly after, I noticed that I had a lot of people staring at me with malice. I glanced to the side and saw that there were people staring at me from inside the shop.

I muttered to myself, “Obviously, in broad daylight, they can not do anything to me.”

It doesn’t matter how much they hate me. They are going to hold off until dusk.

Ignoring their gazes, I continued walking. There are people going about their everyday business. But most of them are poor and weak in health. It is the outcome of those families’ ongoing exploitation.

I reached the administrative building shortly after.

The staff recognized me and he greeted me inside.

“Here, my name is Seth. Now, you are one of our colleagues,” Following his statement, he handed over the ID and work permit.

“Thank you Seth,” I replied.

“Okay, I will take you to the storage building right now. Where all the unknown magic items were sorted for sales,” Seth.

He takes me to the magnificent building whose main door was closed for outsiders. Now, I have become an employee. I can enter this building.

We didn’t enter through the main door. But through a back door. After walking in, I noticed there were people on duty.

“Why was the Shop was closed?” I asked.

Seth wasn’t surprised.

He replied,”Usually, this wasn’t the case. But recently the businesses have been bad. During Peak Time, we received guests from other cities.”

“Some high level Wizards stuff are directly sold here. You can’t find those items in other cities. Although, the Purple Chamber of Commerce here is just a branch.”

“But for the Lawless country people, the Purple City’s Branch is considered as the Main Branch in their eyes,” He added.

Meanwhile, I am silently listening to him.

Now, I understand why they needed an Artifact Identifier urgently. It will relieve some of the pressure for them. Some good artifacts can be sold to the Peak Level Wizards.

If that occurs, it will undoubtedly be a significant business.

Soon, we arrived at the basement room. The room was well illuminated and it’s quite wide. There are all kinds of stuff piled up on the roof.

A quick gleam flashes in my eyes.

“What’s up with these broken items?”

“Is there any value to it?” I asked.

Seth said calmly,”It might seem like garbage stuff. But actually the origins of these broken items are mysterious places, ruins and Ancient BattleField.”

“From time to time, we find something useful to Magic Artifact Refiners and Wizards who awaken weird magic.”

“You know that children can awaken all kinds of magic in our world. But not all of them match mental methods and resources.”

“Most of our Purple Chamber of Commerce’s customers are rare magic users. They can only find some answers from ancient stuff. If it has to do with their magic, even the ancient broken pieces are helpful to them,” smiled Seth.

Then, if I could identify the items, he asked me to sort them and name them.

Seth left after giving instructions. The other hand, I looked around the room with a relieved smile.

What Seth said was right. Even for me, the ancient stuff and information are useful.

I removed the unnecessary thoughts before finding a desk and chair at the corner. It’s my working area.

Then I picked a pen and paper from the table. I looked at the piles of unknown items nearest to the desk. I sat cross legged on the ground.

But in my mind, I asked the system to probe the room. I want to know whether the room was bugged or not. The next second, the information appeared on the status panel.

My gaze fell on the information. The next second, my back went cold. Because there is not one but there are multiple bugs to monitor my movements.

Even some of the gadgets’ names are new to me. Then something struck my mind. It seems they do a lot of business related to Magic Artifacts. They must have connections with Artifact Refiners.

So the new stuff here shouldn’t surprise me. Then I calmed down and began to work. I picked up one of the broken items. It’s clearly broken from appearance.

Out of curiosity, I used the system to detect the real information.

[Ancient Python Scabbard: Made from the skin of Twin Headed Lord Python Monster.]

[Status: Defective Piece. Unrepairable.]

The information appears on the status panel. Seeing that my pupil shrinks. The Majesty behind the term Lord is something else. It’s existence is above the level-10 category.

To think such monsters existed in ancient times. I don’t know about today. But I have a feeling that they do exist today. There are countless regions in our world.

There is a possibility of such a existence living today. Then I looked at the notepad. I can’t write the real information. I simply wrote it as the Ancient Scabbard. Then I placed it beside me.

Then I continued to go through the stuff. I have decided to identify one or two times, that’s all. If my magic ability is exposed, then it would be troublesome.

At the same time, Cory Anderson is observing everything from the Crystal Ball. She saw how Ethan had started his work. She nodded her head in satisfaction.

This time there is a maid behind her. Not the Butler.

“Miss, this person has caused commotion yesterday,” She said.

Cory is aware of everything. She did find someone to learn about this. Then she said,”These Families are starting to cross their boundaries.”

A hint of anger appeared in her eyes. After a long time they have found some capable Artifact Identifiers. His help is needed for our business.

But she thinks that these families are planning to kill him.

Then She asked the maid to leave. She knows that old Butler Joe is not stupid. She gave him a clear warning.

But these things are happening. Which shows that Butler is letting it happen.

“Harumph”

“If business continues to fail, then I’ll tell father about him,” She said with a snort.

Time passed,

The Hawk Family people are keeping an eye on the news. But they know that foreigners are not going to come outside until the work is over.

At the same time, Vince and his gang members got the news of Hawk Family as well. The news made him unsettled.

The thugs who had confronted the foreigner have failed miserably. In order to complete the task, he has decided to take the action himself during the night.

Time passed in the blink of an eye,

In the evening, I left work. I have identified some miscellaneous items. They are not worth much. But considering it’s my first day of work. It was enough to leave them with a good expression.

On my way back, unsurprisingly, there were a lot of stalkers. Apart from the thugs, there are people dressed in nice clothes. They seemed to show hostile intentions as well.

When I arrived at the inn, I was stopped by 2 middle aged men dressed in nice suits.

Seeing their actions my eyes turned cold.

“Ethan Brown, can you come with us?”

“Our elder wants to meet you,” One of them said.

“No,” I said in response before entering the inn.

Both of their faces turned ugly. They are surrounded by spectators. So they can’t take any action right now.

Once inside my room, I made my way to the window to observe what was happening outside.

These people are not hiding their intentions at all.

“Is nobody aware of the wrongdoings within the Purple Chamber of Commerce?” I asked in my heart.

The face of Cory Anderson comes to mind. She seems to be genuine. If she wants she can control the situation. But If I kill them, then I’ll be cornered soon.

“What should I do?” I muttered to myself.

The onlookers and thugs left after sometime. But I’m not sure about the identity of those 2 Middle aged men. Clearly they are sent by a family.

Did they come from the same hotel family? A question appeared in my mind.

Time passed,

Vince and his group have surrounded the run-down inn in the middle of the night. Then Vince directly entered the inn. He was not stopped by the inn owner.

But the inn owner felt sorry for the foreigner.

Creak!

Vince quickly began to check the room one by one.

Shortly after,

He came back downstairs and confronted the inn owner. Because the foreigner was not inside the room.

“Where is he?” He asked.

The owner of the inn retorted, “He did not leave the inn after coming from work.”

Vince frowned. He knows that the inn owner was not lying. His men are positioned outside this inn, keeping watch.

They would have known if the foreigner had left.

“What’s going on?” Vince asked himself.

He is aware that the Hawk Family men came before them. He believes that they are to blame.
