Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Bluebell Reach City

Inside the mana chamber, I forgot about the time. Understanding more of the forbidden magic made me spend more time.

When the last inspiration ended, I opened my eyes.

A quick gleam appeared in my eyes. I felt a surge of strength throughout my entire body. Without opening the status panel, I felt that the forbidden magic power was stronger than before.

I felt relieved that I had come here. I needed that long session of training which I had been missing. When I looked at the time, I was stunned. It had indeed been a long time.

It was the next morning. Then I put away those thoughts before opening the status panel.

The status panel appeared before my eyes. My gaze immediately fell on the mana core. Knowing that I was still only halfway there, I didn’t give up.

I was already strong enough to take down a Magic Lord. It was just that I had to figure out a way to use the forbidden magic. I guessed it was the precondition to become a Magic Lord.

I was thinking about forbidden magic even before becoming a Magic Lord. I knew that once my stats reached the limit, a natural breakthrough would follow next.

I had already obtained the forbidden magic power, and my gravity rule power had long reached its limit. There would be no hindrance in reaching Magic Lord next.

If Celeste were to know about it, I wondered what reaction she would have. She might go on another long-term mission to find opportunities.

Then I dismissed the status panel and exited the mana chamber. Next, I went to take a bath. The bath lasted for 20 minutes.

After coming out, I put on another fresh uniform. Since I had already revealed my presence, there was no point in wearing different clothes.

After getting ready, I turned on the big screen to watch the news. The local news channel appeared.

[Supreme Wizard Vincent Carey has yet to make an appearance. Rumor is that he is in the city for a short break.]

Watching that, I was stunned. They were literally showing the prime hotel and the crowd gathered in front of it.

”What’s going on?” I asked myself.

I looked for the hotel admin desk number. Then I made a call. A male staff member answered the call.

Then I started asking him questions. The staff member patiently explained everything. Having found out my identity, people had gathered outside to see me.

When I asked about the reason, I found out many were fans of the Magic City’s Magic Duel competition.

I massaged my forehead. I didn’t expect the Magic Duel to be this famous outside territory. I had only participated in a few duels out of necessity at that time.

Later, I didn’t have time to participate.

After figuring everything out, I ended the call. I was thinking about staying a few more days here, but I believed it wouldn’t be possible.

I walked back to the sofa and sat down.

The big screen was playing the news channel. Then the news anchor spoke about Darkmoon City.

[Darkmoon City is saved. The Forbidden Wizards of the Black Tower have taken over the city. Rescue efforts are ongoing.]

Watching the news, my attention shifted to Darkmoon City. I wondered what Magic Lord Duncan was doing. He was my new member.

[Magic Lords Duncan and Gaston are playing a major role in the rescue efforts. They are leading other Magic Lords.]

When the news anchor said that, my eyes flashed with surprise. I didn’t even know such an attack had taken place right after I left the city.

I was curious about the events, but I didn’t have to spend energy gathering information. I had ordered Duncan to visit Crystal City monthly.

I would ask him then. Then I thought of the members inside the Gregor Mansion. Before I could think of going inside, my device buzzed.

I picked up the device and saw the contact name. It was none other than Manager Lara. Seeing that, a bright smile appeared on my face.

I answered the call.

”Manager Lara, what is it?”

”I’m staying in Bluebell Reach City without causing any trouble,” I said with a smile.

”Vincent, you need to return to Magic City immediately. Elder Dana assigned you a special mission,” Lara said.

”A special mission?” I uttered.

I noticed that Lara’s voice was filled with worry.

”First, tell me what happened,” I asked.

”Lord Erwin went missing. Lord Charlotte said that you will be given a mission to find clues,” Lara said.

”What?” I stood up from the sofa.

Forbidden Wizard Erwin was a powerful Forbidden Wizard. How could he go missing? I thought I had heard wrong.

”Vincent?” Lara called.

”Is this true?” I asked back.

”Yes, you have to come back ASAP. Everyone is waiting for you,” Lara said.

”Alright, I’m leaving the city right now,” I replied before ending the call.
