Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Sand Fall City

The wizards from the Mage Union came to the place. They started their investigation right away. They didn’t allow the wizards from the neighboring places to enter.

This was because they were already late for the investigation. The corpse of Magic Lord Coleman was already missing.

They didn’t want the remaining things to be missing as well. It didn’t take long for them to find out that the Magic Lord was taken out in one strike.

The survivors’ statements matched the findings. Among the wizards who had come here, there were wizards with unique magic.

They quickly found the trail leading to the ruin. The traces of a giant knight were found. It also matched the statements of the survivors.

The faces of the wizards changed drastically. Unlike others, they knew about the giant knight. They assumed that the giant knight was hidden in the ruin during ancient times.

Later, it was forgotten. Some mechanism must have been triggered to activate the giant knight.

The investigators barred the Sand Region entirely. No one was allowed to enter, not even the wandering wizards or wizards from other places.

This included the Magic Lords and Forbidden Wizards from other places. Unless they had permission from the Mage Union, no one was allowed to step inside the place.

After that, they told a few wizards to stand by here before leaving the place. The news about the barring reached the surrounding forces.

They were worried that it could be the work of the neighboring nation, Ashen Wind. But if it was their doing, then the Mage Union would have said so.

The appearance of the Mage Union worked as a deterrent. The different bandit groups and evil wizards turned their routes away from the Sand Region.

Those who were causing havoc in small villages and towns stopped their actions.

From MC’s Perspective

The following day,

I got out of bed and started doing my morning routine. The routine lasted for an hour.

Then, I sat cross-legged on the floor. I took the super-grade mana stones out. Then I held a few in my palm.

I started running the mental method. The gravity mana particles entered my body from the surroundings and the mana stones.

I guided the mana particles according to the mental method. The mana particles flowed through my veins.

After circulating, the mana entered the mana core space; then, it was sucked in by the gravity mana core.

Seeing that, I continued to repeat the process. I thought, I’m going to reach the limit today in mana core progression. I had been waiting for this particular day.

But still, I controlled my emotions and continued to focus on running the energy.

Time went by.

A few hours later,

I felt the mana core barrier finally. The mana core was not absorbing the mana anymore. Then I opened my eyes and thought of the status panel.

The status panel appeared in front of my eyes. My gaze then fell on the core progress. Seeing that it had touched the limit, I sighed in relief.

My eyes scanned the other stats before confirming that I had truly reached the limit of being a Level-9 Wizard.

Next, I could focus on the breakthrough to become a Supreme Wizard. After closing the status panel, I stood up and went to get ready.

About an hour later,

I appeared outside. Hank and the others were not in the room. I walked up to the window and opened it. The next second, I saw the busy city. You can see a lot more from here on the 9th floor.

Suddenly, I felt uneasy. I didn’t know where the feeling was coming from. Then I asked the system to check whether any Magic Lords were present in the city.

The system result came back positive. My heart was stirred. I only had one magic artifact to deal with a Magic Lord: the Mind Shattering Bell.

The rest of them were useless. No wonder there was an uneasy feeling. I wondered what was going on with the city these days. I believed Otto might have collected intel already.

Then I decided to wait for them to come back. I returned to the sofa and sat down.

Meanwhile,

Patrick, Otto, and Hank were exploring the city. Because of the considerable population here, Otto was able to hear many conversations. He was able to collect more intel.

He came to know about the presence of the Magic Lords in the city. He wanted to share this information with Master Vincent first.

But before he could do that, he heard the conversations of the Magic Tower and the Mage Union all of a sudden.

It made Otto pause. He knew his Master was equally concerned about the situation back at the Magic City. He decided to collect more information about the Mage Union.
