Chapter 1101: Chapter 1097: Lie Down and Behave!

On top of that, when they first got married, the Chen Family generously gave Lin Yun a huge sum as a settling-down fund, and he handed over every cent of it to Ling Yun to roll into more money, make money breed money. Put bluntly, Lin Yun was basically just a hands-off Shopkeeper who only needed to cough up cash.

After Lin Yun explained it like that, Yan Dong and the others became even more convinced that Lin Yun was definitely a shield Ling Yun had sent out.

”Damn, all brand-name stuff, huh. Head to toe, this whole getup’s gotta be at least seven, eight hundred grand. Bro, you’re doing a hell of a job as a human shield, huh? President Yun really spends big!”

Yan Dong chuckled and said, ”This kind of high-end venue, this must be your first time, right? Don’t be shy, eat more while you can, chances like this don’t come often. Just the dishes on this table, let’s not even talk about eating them—bet you haven’t even heard of them. Every single plate sitting here is worth more than all of your annual income combined.”

”Ah hahaha!”

The moment Yan Dong finished talking, the hall instantly exploded into laughter.

”Knew it, total hillbilly who can’t get on stage!”

”And some bumpkin who hit the dogshit lottery!”

A somewhat decent-looking rich wife said with utter contempt, ”I’m guessing he’s some kept pretty boy living off a woman, right? A big shot like President Yun actually has a hobby of keeping little pretty boys~”

”Careful what you say. Little pretty boys are just for playing with in private. Who the hell would bring one out in public? Isn’t your man never taken out either?”

A friend beside her said in a deep voice, ”That Ling Yun’s arrogant as hell. This time she might really have pulled some poor sap in as cannon fodder. Tsk tsk, even Young Master Yun can’t get in her eyes—who the hell knows what kind of man she actually likes?”

The rich wife muttered mockingly, ”For all you know she swings the other way, huh. Wouldn’t that suit your taste just fine.”

Lin Yun’s hearing was razor sharp; there’s no way all that whispered gossip could slip past his sharp ears. But his face still looked calm and indifferent, just watching these jumping-clown idiots put on their stupid little show.

Listening to the guests’ laughter loaded with mockery and disdain, the smug look on Yan Dong’s face only grew more obvious.

Like a general who’d just won a war.

Looking down on Lin Yun from above, he said, ”Also, Young Master Lin, the way you drink red wine is all wrong. Red wine—especially wine this high-end—has to be sipped slowly and carefully savored. You chugging it like that, glug glug, like a cow chewing peonies—aren’t you just wasting the damn thing!”

As soon as he finished, he personally poured half a glass of red wine, slowly swirling it, even swirling out faint, bizarre purplish-red lines.

Then he took a tiny, extremely pleased sip.

”See that? This is how you drink red wine if you want to look classy. You should learn from the people around you. You keep embarrassing President Yun everywhere you go, how’s that okay!” Yan Dong practically did it on purpose, raising his voice a full eight notches so everyone inside and outside the hall could hear clearly.

”Ah hahaha~”

”People like you, biggest problem is not knowing yourself. Don’t know your own weight. Born a broke loser, yet still gotta force your way into circles that don’t belong to you. In the end you only realize who you really are once you’ve smashed your head bloody.”

”Still, his luck’s not bad. Getting to play shield for President Yun once, that’s gotta come with plenty of perks. President Yun can just casually sign a check for him and send him straight to the peak of his life.”

”So, Eldest Young Master Lin, you know how to drink now? Want me to give you another demonstration?”

Yan Dong stared at Lin Yun arrogantly. He felt like he was putting on a monkey show, and Lin Yun, this clueless broke-ass student, was just that pitiful monkey waiting to be toyed with.

Honestly, in his mind, broke students like Lin Yun were all lower-class trash, and their only purpose was to set off how noble and superior people like him—the big young masters and little rich heirs—were.

Ling Yun’s face was as dark as it could get. If Lin Yun weren’t holding her back at her side, she’d probably have blown up already.

”Your way of drinking is no good. Let me graciously teach you an even cooler way to drink red wine. I guarantee your ’cool factor’ will shoot up by like three meters.” Lin Yun suddenly lifted his head, smiling as he looked at Yan Dong.

”Oh? Hah, an even cooler way to drink? Raise my cool factor by three meters...” Yan Dong threw his head back and laughed wildly, completely unrestrained, full of arrogance.

What, you some clown the monkeys sent out?

This was honestly the first time he’d met someone this ridiculous.

”Watch and learn, this is how you drink red wine...”

As Lin Yun spoke, he flicked his hand and grabbed the wine bottle off the table in an instant, popped the cap open,

and barked, ”Drink!”

The two-foot-tall bottle was shoved straight into Yan Dong’s mouth, then Lin Yun slammed it down hard. Young Master Yan went flying, arms and legs splayed, landing flat on the table beside him, his mouth plugged by the thick bottle neck.

His two front teeth got knocked out on the spot.

Glug glug glug~

The red wine, mixed with blood, poured down in one go, spraying out from his mouth and nose everywhere.

Ah~ mmph

A second ago he was still all badass, acting like some model upper-class gentleman; in a flash, Yan Dong turned into a dead fish.

He struggled desperately, but with the bottle jammed in his mouth, he couldn’t fight back at all.

”Oh my god~”

Seeing this sudden scene, all the young masters, pampered ladies, and rich wives in the banquet hall seemed to freeze, every single one of them staring wide-eyed, looking utterly stunned at what was happening in front of them.

He’s insane!

This hillbilly actually plugged Young Master Yan’s mouth with a wine bottle.

The guy’s gone nuts. He’s basically not afraid of death!

Making a scene like this, even Ling Yun won’t be able to protect him.

”Lin Yun, what are you doing? Ling Yun-jie, make him stop, quick!”

Sun Bian, who’d been standing aside watching the show, never imagined Lin Yun would suddenly explode like this. He rushed over to try to talk sense into Lin Yun, then turned to Ling Yun and said, ”Hurry and stop him! Today’s Elder Liang’s birthday banquet. If his celebration gets ruined, you two won’t be able to handle the fallout!”

”Get the hell out of here, you cheap bitch!”

Lin Yun swung his arm and slapped Sun Bian hard across the left side of her face, sending her into a sideways flip and crashing onto the floor with a thud.

”You little punk, you actually laid hands on me?!” Sun Bian clutched the side of her face he’d hit, hatred all over her face as she tried to stand up.

”Heh, hit you, so what? You stay the hell down for me!”

He finished, then planted a foot right on Sun Bian’s delicate, dewy face, grinding his leather shoe hard and rubbing her face back and forth across the floor.

”Lin Yun, you—” Even Ling Yun hadn’t expected Lin Yun to react this violently; everyone was a bit stunned.

Just then, one bottle of red wine had finally been drained. Lin Yun let go of the bottle.
