God-Level Special Forces Soldier

After a long silence, Ji Dantong finally gritted her teeth and agreed: ”Then, thank you very much!”

After speaking, she handed a communication spirit jade given by her sect to Xiao Tian: ”If you ever need my help in the future, just crush it, and I’ll naturally come to find you!”

Xiao Tian was amused by Ji Dantong’s words. She was obviously just an average little girl, yet she spoke as if she was very formidable. Nonetheless, he accepted it with a smile.

When Xiao Tian took the spirit jade engraved with the character ”Dantong,” Ji Dantong sighed internally again. If her master found out that the spirit jade she carried with her was gone, he would surely be furious.

The spirit jade Ji Dantong carried had two functions. One was to communicate when she was in danger and send a message back.

The other was to give the spirit jade to someone else, and when the recipient required it, she would instantly sense it. Then, based on the signal from the spirit jade, she could find the scene and proceed with the necessary actions.

It was clear that Ji Dantong had erased the first effect using a cultivation technique and then gave the spirit jade to Xiao Tian.

Although this spirit jade wasn’t valuable, it was an exclusive secret technique of Ji Dantong’s sect. The disciples who could obtain it were few, and giving it to others was strictly forbidden, which meant she would face questioning!

After finishing her reflections, Ji Dantong reluctantly controlled herself not to think about these troubling matters, yet she suddenly realized that at some point, Xiao Tian in front of her was holding a pen, drawing something on a piece of white paper.

Unable to resist her curiosity, Ji Dantong quietly approached, cautiously trying not to make any sound so as not to disturb the focused Xiao Tian.

On the paper in Xiao Tian’s hand, there was an exquisite pattern resembling a sword.

The sword had a small yet ornate hilt, a guard that looked like a soaring phoenix, and a graceful sword tassel. The flowing patterns on the blade captivated her at first glance, and she couldn’t take her eyes off it!

”You, what is this?” Ji Dantong couldn’t help but ask.

However, as soon as she spoke, she realized she was mistaken. Even though she didn’t quite understand, she knew creators shouldn’t be disturbed when deeply engrossed.

Fortunately, Xiao Tian did not blame her after putting down the pen. Instead, he explained: ”Of course, it’s a design sketch! Otherwise, why would I need the Proud Snow Evil Shadow Bamboo?!”

”Then, how did you know I excel at using swords?!”

Xiao Tian was momentarily stunned, then replied: ”I didn’t know!”

Ji Dantong immediately felt slightly embarrassed and slapped her head. She was so captivated by Xiao Tian’s drawing that she mistakenly thought it was a design for her!

However, such words mustn’t be spoken aloud, or else it would be truly embarrassing.

”You’re skilled with swords!” Xiao Tian handed the drawing to Ji Dantong: ”That’s perfect; see if there’s any issue with this design?”

Without delving into too many details, Xiao Tian allowed Ji Dantong a sigh of relief. She took the drawing from Xiao Tian’s hand and began studying it intently.

...

After a long time, Ji Dantong finally put down the design, silently marveling at Xiao Tian’s intelligence. While some parts weren’t perfect for her, with minor adjustments, it could be forged right away.

Moreover, it was evident that Xiao Tian wasn’t an expert sword user. Some details had slight discrepancies, but the overall concept was still admirable!

In all, from Ji Dantong’s perspective, Xiao Tian’s design matched her preferences perfectly.

”How is it?”

Seeing Ji Dantong put down the drawing, Xiao Tian humbly inquired.

”Frankly, there are some issues with the details, but the overall concept is good. However...this should be for a girl, right?!” Ji Dantong objectively evaluated and then asked her question.

However, before Xiao Tian could admit or deny, Ji Dantong continued: ”I think such things should involve the user of the weapon. It can only perform to its full potential if it matches the user’s habits!”

Xiao Tian nodded in agreement, then switched topics: ”Do you have some research in forging?”

”No!”

Ji Dantong shook her head in denial, confidently saying: ”But I can tell you are not accustomed to using weapons.”

”Oh?” Xiao Tian became interested and asked, ”How can you tell?!”

”From this design in my hand.”

Ji Dantong shook the drawing in her hand and explained: ”Firstly, it’s common sense. This sword, clearly designed for women, is too thick.”

”Secondly, the blade is too thin. While it maximizes the sword’s sharpness, pairing the thin blade with the thick body only leads to one outcome—the tip will easily break!”

Xiao Tian opened his mouth, initially planning to argue that with the Proud Snow Evil Shadow Bamboo’s support, this flaw could be compensated. But Ji Dantong anticipated this and spoke first.

”Even with the Proud Snow Evil Shadow Bamboo’s support, if the design is flawed, it won’t work!” Ji Dantong shook her head: ”Its role is only to support and assist, so it ultimately doesn’t solve the problem!”

Xiao Tian touched his nose; he indeed had shortcomings in weaponry. But her understanding of the Proud Snow Evil Shadow Bamboo and knowledge in this area seemed implausible.

Apparently, Ji Dantong wasn’t as clueless about the art of forging, as she claimed.

However, since this involved her privacy, Xiao Tian didn’t feel it was appropriate to ask further.

After a short silence, Ji Dantong said: ”I think this design is very suitable for me, otherwise...”

Xiao Tian promptly agreed: ”No problem! Take the drawing with you!”

”That’s not what I meant.”

Ji Dantong said with some difficulty: ”I mean, could I ask you to perfect the design and forge it for me? In return, besides the materials I need for my weapon, I can give you more Proud Snow Evil Shadow Bamboo.”

Xiao Tian pondered for a moment, then nodded: ”Alright, since even if you give the Proud Snow Evil Shadow Bamboo to your sect, you might not get it. It seems like a good idea!”

”Hey!”

Ji Dantong protested: ”Why do I feel like you’re looking down on me?! Among my peers in the sect, I am one of the top talents!”

She then thought she had found the reason herself, saving her the trouble of thinking more about it, and decided not to worry about this.

Watching the self-admiring Ji Dantong, Xiao Tian found it amusing. What kind of mediocre sect could produce such a ”genius”?!

However, when Xiao Tian actually visited Ji Dantong’s sect in the future, he realized how laughable today’s thoughts were…

...

Seeing Xiao Tian agree, Ji Dantong cautiously asked: ”You will personally help me forge it, right?” Her tone was slightly uncertain, yet held a hint of anticipation.
