God-Level Special Forces Soldier

Chapter 195: Chapter 193: What Is His True Identity?

Yu Ningxue collected her thoughts as they entered the hospital lobby, and as soon as they stepped in, a middle-aged woman and man walked over. The woman, in particular, was already sobbing uncontrollably.

”Officer, I’m Zhao Xue’s mother, and you have to stand up for us! Ever since she woke up, she hasn’t said a word. If anything happens to her, my husband and I can’t go on living!”

As the woman spoke, she seemed about to faint from crying. Yu Ningxue went up to support her, ”Don’t worry, ma’am, we will definitely find the perpetrator! However, some information has to come from the victim herself.”

Zhao Xue’s mother spoke with a heavy tone, ”My daughter is in ward C12 on the second floor, but she doesn’t pay any attention to her father and me. She just sits there in a daze, which is making us both so anxious!”

”Let’s go up and talk to her first.” Yu Ningxue nodded and then headed directly to the second floor, followed closely by Xiao Tian.

In such rape cases, the victim’s emotions must be treated with care. A single mistake could lead to irreparable consequences.

Yu Ningxue had once witnessed a victim jumping to her death right in front of her!

They reached the second-floor ward and knocked on the door, but there was no response from inside.

Yu Ningxue then opened the door to find a dim room, where a girl was sitting on the pristine white hospital bed.

The girl was pale, with chapped lips, and her beautiful face lacked any color. Her eyes were lifeless as she stared out the window.

It was a look of utter despair, devoid of any light.

This girl was the victim of the rape incident, Zhao Xue.

Yu Ningxue felt a pang in her heart. Why was it always these blooming young girls who suffered?

She walked slowly to Zhao Xue’s bedside and sat down, trying to make her voice as gentle as possible, ”Your name is Zhao Xue, right?”

The girl remained silent, or perhaps she hadn’t heard.

”What exactly happened? We know... it’s hard for anyone to bear such an incident. But don’t you want that bastard to be punished? We need the perpetrator’s detailed information, and we will definitely bring him to justice!” Yu Ningxue urged, with a trace of anger in her voice at the end.

Zhao Xue, pale-faced, finally turned her head to glance at Yu Ningxue, looked at her hands, and murmured, ”It’s useless...”

She was only eighteen, had never had a boyfriend, and unexpected events had utterly destroyed her will to live.

Whenever she closed her eyes now, all she could hear in her head was that man’s lewd laugh, mercilessly ruining everything for her.

Yu Ningxue didn’t know how to comfort this poor girl. Words seemed weak and powerless at this moment.

”But.....” Yu Ningxue was just about to speak again when Zhao Xue’s emotions suddenly erupted.

She picked up the pillow and the water cup on the table, throwing them hard onto the ground with a loud crash.

”It’s useless, useless, useless!!!” Zhao Xue screamed and cried while throwing everything she could see.

”Ah!” Seeing Zhao Xue like this, Yu Ningxue let out a heavy sigh, then clenched her fist, angrily, ”That bastard, I want to kill him myself!!!”

Xiao Tian patted Yu Ningxue’s shoulder, ”You go out first, I’ll talk to her alone.”

After half an hour, under Xiao Tian’s counseling, Zhao Xue finally began to speak.

Zhao Xue bit her lip and slowly said, ”This morning on my way to school, a few Japanese men suddenly grabbed me into their car...”

”Japanese??”

Previously, Xiao Tian had had several dealings with Japanese men, but they never got any benefits from him. Now, daringly, the Japanese were still so audacious in Huaxia?

Zhao Xue’s expression was extremely painful, ”I fought back hard...they beat me up...and then...”

Xiao Tian sympathetically waved his hand, ”If it’s too hard to bear, you don’t have to say it.”

”The leader had red hair and a scar on his face. Sorry, that’s all I remember; I passed out afterward.”

As she spoke, Zhao Xue’s face reflected a lingering terror. Such an incident was indeed too hard for a young girl to accept.

”Red hair... a scar, Japanese.” Xiao Tian murmured, then nodded. With those features, checking the surveillance would quickly identify the suspect.

”I’ll go first. We must catch those criminals soon. Don’t worry, someone will contact you soon about going to school in the capital. I’ve arranged for you to go to Qinghua University. Leaving Shanghai should make you feel better!”

After speaking, Xiao Tian left the room. Zhao Xue nodded, but she gave a bitter smile, thinking Xiao Tian was just deceiving her.

Qinghua University? How is that possible?

...

A few hours later, Zhao Xue in the hospital room suddenly received a call.

When she saw the number on the phone, she froze. It was a call from Qinghua’s admissions office!

Zhao Xue answered the phone with trembling hands, ”Hello?”

”Hello, please send your personal information over via text later, including your current address. Someone from our school will pick you up by tomorrow at the latest. We heard about your difficult family situation. Our principal has waived all fees and will provide a yearly scholarship of 30,000. Prepare yourself; attending now won’t delay your courses!”

Zhao Xue was stunned, tears of excitement rolling down her cheeks.

That officer, who exactly is he?

-----

At this moment, in the surveillance room of the West City Branch, Xiao Tian and others finally traced the rapist’s movements after scrutinizing the day’s footage.

A while later, an officer rushed in urgently, ”Yu, there’s news from the hotel. This man’s name is Beishu Dayuan, a representative from a Japanese business group. Ostensibly here for business activities, but his actions are highly suspicious.”

Xiao Tian frowned, ”Are we sure it’s him?”

The officer nodded, ”Yes, absolutely.”

”Good!” Xiao Tian clapped his hands sharply, ”You drive, let’s quickly go and arrest him. We’ve been investigating all day; they probably have a lead by now as well.”

”I’m going too!” Yu Ningxue hurried to follow.

”Wait a moment!” At this point, Jiang Chao, the city squad captain who had been following all along, approached and patted Xiao Tian’s shoulder, ”Since the perpetrator has been identified, you don’t need to go for the arrest. I can just send more people. Director Bai heard that you’re back and is eager to see you. I suggest you come with me.”

”Not now.” Xiao Tian shook his head, ”If I’m not mistaken, these Japanese might be connected to an organization that has been causing trouble in Huaxia before. I have to confirm it myself.”

Seeing Xiao Tian’s earnest demeanor, Jiang Chao couldn’t say much more, finally nodding.

”Go, then, I’ll inform Director Bai.”

Subsequently, Xiao Tian got into the police car and drove directly towards ”Beihao Hotel” in the city center.
