Chapter 75 Meeting Erwin Again

Chapter 75 Meeting Erwin Again

After walking a long way, Lin Ye only encountered a few low-level Zerg warriors.

The number was so small that he didn’t even have the desire to take action. He directly activated the power of blood and transformed these insects into his dependents.

And that alien girl who called herself Chu Qingning said that she wanted to escape from the insect nest, but in fact, it was the same as walking on the pedestrian street.

Take a look here, look there, it’s too leisurely.

In this way, the originally hopeless road to escape turned into traveling with family and mouth in the end.

Along the way, Chu Qingning was still eating compressed biscuits.

Apart from the sound of footsteps in the tunnel, it was eerily quiet.

Fortunately, the whole journey was full of ”click, click” chewing sounds, which seriously interfered with Lin Ye’s perception of the surrounding environment.

The most exasperating thing was that this guy stretched out his hand to ask for it with a shy face after eating a pack.

It’s not enough if you don’t give it to her, if you howl a few times, something really big will happen!

Lin Ye didn’t want to waste all his time dealing with low-level Zerg fighters.

He looked at the alien girl who was half a head shorter beside him, and wondered in his heart:
Isn’t this a compressed cookie?Eat so much without bloating?
After dawdling for a long time, Lin Ye led a group of Zerg brothers, and finally approached the location of the cave according to the information provided in the memory fragment.

There was a faint light in the tunnel ahead, and he walked up quickly, only then did he see the true appearance of the so-called ”cave”.

The place in front of me was supposed to be a naturally formed huge rock cavity, but under the transformation of the Zerg creatures, it became a large-scale cultivation center.

The hundred-meter-high dome is covered with blue-purple crystal clusters, which are emitting a faint light at the moment, providing negligible illumination for the huge space.

Under the dome, there are more than a dozen strange hemispherical buildings, with no difference in shape or size between them.

These are the breeding rooms of the Zerg, which are specially used to batch and quickly produce low-level Zerg creatures.

Higher Zerg creatures also have a special place for breeding and hatching, but they are all luxurious private rooms with constant temperature and humidity, and they have their own timer wake-up function.

Of course, all this information he saw from a manual.

There are not only text descriptions in it, but also thoughtful pictures.

It’s hard to believe that the author of this manual had the courage to live deep into the insect nest for several years without being discovered by them.

Comparable to the strongest human being, Mr. Pei who stands at the top of the food chain.

However, according to the specifications, this area should belong to a small cultivation center, and the height and diameter of each singular building are only about 50 meters.

The surface of the building is covered with black metal, with circuit-like grooves engraved on it.

The ends of the grooves all come together at the top, and are connected with many thick pipes.

These pipes are drawn from unknown places, and from time to time, shining energy particles slowly flow out of them, spreading along the grooves towards the entire building.

Lin Ye wanted to know more about this place, but there were many Zerg creatures wandering on the ground.

But for him now, a few low-level Zerg fighters are not a threat at all.

He raised his hand and waved, and the ”little brothers” behind him all screamed, rushed over, and struggled with each other.

Lin Ye took advantage of this time to enter the cultivation room next to him to find out.

The interior of the cultivation room is similar to a honeycomb structure, and the arched walls are embedded with dense hatching cabins.

The circular hatch is transparent, allowing one to clearly see the situation inside.

Moreover, all the hatching cabins are in operation, and the cabins are full of Zerg creature larvae that are hatching.

Lin Ye explored several cultivation rooms in a row and found that they were all in the same situation.

You know, this is just a small cultivation center.

Therefore, the number of soldiers has always been the most terrifying place for the Zerg.

If the worm nest is not completely destroyed, no matter how many zerg fighters are obliterated, it will be useless.

Lin Ye walked around to the innermost hemispherical building following the route in the memory fragment.

This breeding room is slightly different. Most of the hatching cabins inside are inactive, and only the middle part is still running.

The hatch cover is flashing fluorescent light, which is a sign that it is absorbing energy.

Lin Ye stepped on the hatching cabin on the bottom floor, climbed up to check, and found that there was a Zerg creature about to hatch lying in each cabin.

However, their shape seems to be slightly different from normal Zerg creatures.

Lin Ye lifted the hatch cover to observe carefully, and suddenly the situation in the ancestral temple laboratory flashed in his mind.

These creatures, at present, can only be called Zerg creatures, and they are all Ayres who have just completed their transformation, which is the person they are looking for in this trip.

When the leader of the rebel army, West Germany, mentioned what happened to Erwin and others, Lin Ye had already given up hope.

Infecting the virus is actually tantamount to a death sentence, and it is basically impossible to save it, not to mention being injected with a large dose of Zerg virus.

But no matter what, whether dead or alive, finding Erwin was the promise Lin Ye made to the Temple Guards and Rita.

Presumably, Erwin was also unwilling to let the Templars, especially Rita, see himself like this.

Due to the huge change in body shape after the mutation, Lin Ye couldn’t directly identify which one was Erwin.

While searching, he suddenly saw torn clothes scattered on the floor of some cabins, with rose-purple blood stains remaining on them.

On the ground of one of the hatching cabins, there was a blood-stained robe, and a special logo could be vaguely seen in the folds.

In the entire temple, he had only seen the same imprint on the walls of the Jongmyo.

And currently there is only one Ayre who can wear this dress.

Lin Ye frowned, looked at the Zerg creatures in the incubator, and murmured:

”Elder Erwin?”

This was the first time he had seen an Aiel in a state of mutated transformation.

Erwin still retains some of the characteristics of the human form, but only for now.

The surface of his skin had hardened to form a carapace, and his hairless, bald head drooped on his back.

The entire spine is turned backwards, and the thoracic and lumbar vertebrae are segmented.

The arms are split and extended, mutated into chelicerae with hard bone spurs.

Three pairs of thick and long bones grow from the lumbar spine, and together with the legs, they have mutated into appendages with Zerg characteristics, and there are crystal-like visual receptors at the joints.

His abdomen was completely split open, the internal organs and body tissues were fused together, the ribs moved down, split and alienated into a palate with a hard carapace.

Sharp teeth grew from the edge of the abdomen, and the internal mouthparts were spiral-shaped.

Although Lin Ye was used to seeing grotesque Zerg creatures, seeing this transformation process with his own eyes still caused some physical discomfort.

However, Chu Qingning next to him didn’t respond at all, and even stared intently at Erwin in the hatch.

At this time, Erwin, who was lying in the cabin, seemed to have noticed something, and immediately got up.

His original eyes have lost their function, and now he can only use the visual receptors at the joints of his appendages to observe the surrounding scene.

At first, he saw the man standing outside the hatch, and instinctively attacked.

He roared angrily, and after hitting the transparent hatch cover several times in succession, he suddenly stopped moving.

Erwin seemed to recognize the person standing outside.

That, the boy he had pinned all his hopes on.

Erwin let out a whimper, controlled the four pairs of appendages, and backed away in a panic, trying to avoid the other party’s gaze.

Seeing this situation, Lin Ye immediately showed an unbelievable expression.

Erwin.

He still has his sanity!
At the same time, Chu Qingning, who was standing on the ground, frowned slightly, and a trace of confusion flashed in his eyes.
