[Quest Received]

[A Blight of Humanity, a Scorned Scion (Legendary)]

[You have shown yourself to be a man of little value, of little care. Ripping up the lives of families and eradicating their beating hearts from the world, the cruelty you have displayed is matched only by a select few. However, the universe does not care for cruelty where it suits it, and in some cases, it may very well encourage it. Prove to the universe that you are such a crusader, such a Scorned Scion] [Fragmented Reward Requirements]

[>Erase a Fragmented Sin Clan]

[Fragmented Sin Clan Destroyed]

[Accept Your Rewards Now?]

[Yes][No]

Sylas nodded to himself when he saw this. He expected it and didnʼt mind very much at all.

Even if he had only taken out a Fragmented Sin Clan alone, it still meant he passed, albeit barely. While he wouldnʼt get the best rewards, he would still be able to avoid death and that was what mattered the most.

However… he had a feeling that if he held on and destroyed a far stronger Clan instead, the rewards he would receive might be truly mind bending.

So for the time being, Sylas didnʼt claim his rewards. He had a year to destroy a more powerful Sin Clan. If he could manage to destroy a Legendary one, then the rewards for this Quest might even begin to rival that of the reward he was expecting for solving the mystery of the Beast Sanctum.

It had to be remembered that the reason Sylas was so invested in the Beast Sanctum was because he had a feeling that its secrets were tied to a treasure that could rival the Madness Key.

For him to say that the rewards for this quest might be the same, well…

That was two opportunities at something truly magical.

But for now, he would just have to be patient. Not having death looming over his head was enough.

He had barely survived this time, and it took a huge advantage to even succeed. Without his Lust Seed, he was nowhere near strong enough to take down a Clan like this. Even if he had been in the C-tier, it would have been impossible.

He would need to be in the B-tier to succeed. But right now, Sylas hadnʼt even begun to look into B-tier Runes, let alone being ready to build his B-tier Classes.

There was another problem he had run into while building out his path toward the C-tier as well, and that was his Comprehensions and Professions.

Right now they felt… lackluster.

He had reached the limit of the C-tier eyes that Gralith had given him so he would need an upgrade. And it had been a very long time since he got Vipermancy to Silver and had yet to find a path to bring it to Gold.

When it came to his Comprehensions, Reaper just felt like it was on a level of its own, and it had been a long while since he progressed Madness as well.

These days, he didnʼt use his Comprehensions in battle very often because he was either in a situation where his opponents were far too powerful for it to be worth the stamina drain, or far too weak for him to need to go so far.

However, he had a feeling that very soon some very targeted challenges would be coming at him due to Gentrixaul. That would probably pit him against a lot of people near and around his power level.

There was also the fact he wanted his Comprehensions to be strong enough to stand on their own as well. Being able to use three at the same time was too great an advantage to just ignore.

And then there was the elephant in the room…

When was he going to progress the Grimblade Bloodline to an S-tier one?

He was quickly growing more powerful, but he had a long way to go.

ʼOne problem at a time. Letʼs leave this place.ʼ

It wasnʼt long before the Hollow Ship was zooming out of the range of the two guilds, vanishing into the void. With his improvement, Sylas was on the verge of being able to hide even from the senses of S-tiers. If one didnʼt know what they were looking for and didnʼt lock onto him ahead of time… Finding his tiny ship in the vastness of space was almost impossible.

And thanks to that, there were not just one, but two arrivals that missed him as he took his family and Cheri away, leaving Ryn and Dominan in a pool of their own blood.

One group of arrivals landed near the two guilds. They were a duo…

One of them had an eye replaced by a telescope monocle, veins of writhing green and dense black coming out from where his eye should have been.

His lower half was that of a serpent, but not an organic one. Instead, it was formed of bright, polished, steel-like plates that reflected the sunlight at various angles as he moved.

The hairs on his arms were oddly white and a little longer than usual. Not long enough to be fur, but still too long to be considered normal arm hair, not to mention just a little thicker as well.

When one looked closely, though, it became obvious these werenʼt organic either. Instead, they were like optic fiber cables, trapping the light and feeding it into his body as though to fuel his heart.

The other almost looked normal by comparison. She was a woman dressed in an all black, single-piece suit that covered everything but her eyes and the flaming ponytail that came out of a slit in the back of her head.

Her eyes, though… didnʼt seem to have whites or pupils. Instead, staring at them felt like looking into pools of molten rock, glowing with black and red.

”They have been wiped out.” She said slowly. ”Everything was taken. Santz and Eloise are also dead.”

”Just Santz.” The man corrected.

The womanʼs eyes narrowed, but she didnʼt reply.

”What is the next course of action?” The man asked.

”Sylas Grimblade has stepped in our way too many times now. He cannot be ignored any longer. He is growing too fast.”
