The battlefield transcended mere warfare and devolved into a canvas of raw and feral slaughter.

High Shaman Zephyra did not give the paralyzed enemy chiefs a single second to solve the mystery of her recovery.

Standing atop the ridge, her face carved with cold, unforgiving resolve, she lifted her carved staff high into the darkened twilight.

”Fleeing rats,” Zephyra’s voice hissed through the gale, carrying the weight of a century’s worth of ancestral fury. ”You dare think about trampling upon the Veynar. Now, let the world drink your blood!”

She slammed the butt of her staff into the limestone.

BOOM.

The single cyclone turned into two and then three.

Her long white hair whipped wildly as she raised both arms to the sky. The emerald cyclones grew even larger and more vicious, their outer walls merging into a singular, colossal wall of rotating, razor-sharp wind that stretched across the entire valley floor.

The remaining Layer 2 and Layer 3 high-layer warriors.. men who had survived Sol’s initial crushing weight through sheer physical resilience... found their boots lifting off the ground.

Thousands of razor-sharp wind blades, glowing with a malevolent green essence, shot out from the vortex like a storm of arrows. They sheared through the leather armors of the Zharun.

They sliced through the dense, hardened muscle of the Marauder elite.

Screaming Marauders were ground into red mist and bone dust, their final cries swallowed by the howling gale. Entire squads vanished in seconds, leaving only bloody smears across the white limestone ground.

Blood sprayed upward in continuous, geyser-like arcs, caught instantly by the violent updrafts and painting the emerald cyclones a horrific, swirling shade of deep crimson.

Zephyra’s eyes glowed with ethereal green light as she directed the storms with precise, ancient gestures.

One cyclone suddenly separated and veered left, slamming into a dense formation of Coalition forces attempting to flank.

The impact created a crater of pulverized bodies and shattered weapons.

Another storm lifted high into the air before crashing down like the fist of an angry god, obliterating a group of Zerith stalkers who had tried to sneak through the chaos.

While Zephyra manipulated the sky to herd the panicked enemy forces into dense, suffocating pockets, Warchief Veylara had become a crimson god of war on the ground.

Like an apex predator unleashed in a pen of trapped cattle, Veylara sprinted directly into the heart of the storm-shattered vanguard. She moved with an impossible, explosive rhythm. Every step she took left deep, cracked craters in the solid stone beneath her bare feet.

The high-layer Zharun elites who had tried to encircle her were instantly cut in half at the waist. The extreme heat of the strike cauterized their wounds even as they fell, leaving a perfect, clean ring of severed torsos and legs smoking in the dirt.

A Layer 3 Marauder, his face twisted in desperate battle-madness, lunged at her from the left, swinging a massive, double-headed flint axe capable of splitting a monolith. Veylara didn’t even blink. Without breaking her forward momentum, she thrust the butt of her spear directly into his sternum.

CRACK.

The sheer, concussive force of her Layer 4 essence exploded through the captain’s body. His chest cavity instantly collapsed inward, his ribs shattering into a thousand fragments that pierced his own heart as he was sent flying backward like a cannonball, knocking down a dozen warriors behind him.

She gripped her spear with both hands and spun her body in a full, violent circle. A continuous, spinning ring of compressed crimson fire erupted from the spear’s path, expanding outward in an unstoppable, thirty-pace radius.

Dozens of elite Gray Marauders were bisected instantly, their thick bodies exploding into vaporized blood and shredded meat.

The heat from her essence flash-boiled their innards mid-air, filling the battlefield with the sickening stench of cooked flesh and scorched iron.

Veylara laughed with a wild, thunderous sound as she leaped forward, driving her spear through the chest of a massive Layer 3 Marauder. She lifted the struggling giant off the ground with one arm, roared, and hurled his corpse like a battering ram into the next wave, crushing five more warriors beneath the impact.

”You call this an army?!” she bellowed, her voice carrying over the chaos like divine judgment. ”Come! I’ll paint the entire battlefield red with your blood!”

She was an absolute whirlwind of death.

A thrust through the throat of a Zharun commander; a sweeping strike that pulverized the skulls of three Marauder berserkers; a vertical cleave that split a heavily armored Zerith shadow-stalker from crown to pelvis.

She fought with zero defensive movements, relying entirely on the terrifying speed of her strikes to obliterate anything before it could even aim a weapon at her bare skin.

...

The synergy between the two Veynar powerhouses was flawless, a tactical nightmare perfected over decades of tribal defense.

\Zephyra’s storms ruthlessly compressed the enemy’s numbers, forcing hundreds of screaming warriors into tight, disorganized lines, while Veylara’s crimson spear waves systematically reaped them down like ripe wheat.

Behind them, the five hundred Veynar veterans raised their heavy bone shields and began a steady, rhythmic march forward.

They didn’t even need to swing their axes; they simply walked behind their Warchief and High Shaman, crushing the twitching, broken remnants of the Coalition beneath their boots.

Across the valley, what had been an organized assault turned into a frantic, terror-filled rout. Warriors trampled each other in their desperation to escape.

Horns blared desperately from the rear, but the panic was too deep. Many dropped their weapons and ran, only to be cut down by Veylara’s relentless pursuit or sucked into Zephyra’s merciless storms.

Veylara leaped onto a pile of corpses, her body drenched in enemy blood, and raised her spear high.

”For Veynar!” she roared.

The remaining Veynar warriors answered with a thunderous war cry that shook the pass.

From the rear of the crumbling Coalition lines, Chief Vane watched the slaughter of his forces with bloodshot eyes.

His massive frame trembled with barely contained, helpless rage. The once-mighty vanguard... his proud Zharun warriors and allied warriors... was being reduced to nothing but drifting red mist, shattered bones, and broken weapons scattered across the white limestone ground.

The screams of dying men echoed endlessly in his ears.

Not far from where the Veynar young master had stood earlier, the faceless, twitching corpse of his only son, Gorr, still lay in the dirt. The raw, exposed skull glistened wetly, a horrifying monument to the Veynar’s vengeance.

Vane’s blood boiled. A primal roar built in his chest as he took a heavy step forward, muscles bulging, ready to charge straight into the carnage and tear the Veynar apart with his bare hands.

But a single, sharp look from the colossal Marauder Chief stopped him dead in his tracks.

The giant’s eyes were cold and warning. A subtle shake of his head conveyed everything: Not yet.

Seeing that neither the Marauder Chief nor the Zerith Chief made any move to intervene, Vane could only stand there, fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles cracked and bled. Helpless. Forced to watch as his own men were butchered like animals.

It wasn’t that he cared for their lives. Warriors were replaceable. What tore at him was the brutal reduction in numbers... every elite fighter lost here weakened his tribe’s future power. His carefully built forces were being ground into dust before his eyes.

Veylara’s crimson crescents continued to tear through the ranks, while Zephyra’s emerald cyclones obliterated entire formations in howling vortices of death.

The two women were turning what should have been a decisive ambush into a one-sided massacre.
