Forty Millenniums of Cultivation

Theresa was so stiff that she did not know where to put her hands and feet, much less whether or not she should respond to Liuli’s hug.

She was dazed for a long time. Then she suddenly remembered something and asked angrily, “Wait. Where’s the boxing champion? Why haven’t we seen him after talking for such a long time? Where is he hiding?”

“Oh, the Fist King has restarted.”

Liu Li said, “He said that the leadership of the Star Glory Federation, the Star Glory Federation, and the Star Glory Federation would naturally take care of the first contact between the world of Cultivators and the world of magic. As the commander of the armed forces, he said that soldiers were not suitable for politics.

“Restart?”

Theresa glared. “Are you kidding me?”

“It’s true. Han… Theresa, you don’t know how dangerous the situation was. The entire Pangu Universe was almost destroyed. Thankfully, you showed up in time.”

Liu Li said, “As it turns out, the big baddie Lu Qingchen is not dead yet. He has snuck into the mind of the Fist King and stolen half of his computational ability and core data.

“The Fist King is equivalent to a human being who has lost half of his brain tissue. He is in an extremely weak and dangerous state. Just now, in order to compete with Lu Qingchen, he summoned the last bit of his computational ability to maintain the fleet. Now that you are here and the danger has been resolved, he collapsed on the spot.

“Besides, according to the Fist King, he has discovered his own weakness and mistakes through the incident. He is in dire need of a new life.

“Therefore, he is planning to investigate and sort out his core data, so that he can be reborn in a brand-new version and appear in front of us in a brand-new appearance in the near future.

“Wait—”

Theresa frowned. “How long will the ‘reborn version’ take?”

“I don’t know. The upgrade of the Fist King is equivalent to the seclusion of a Cultivator. There is no time limit.

Liu Li said, “He said that, if everything went well, it could’ve been as short as three to five days, or as short as ten days to half a month. It would’ve been a different story if he had new insights during the upgrade.

“…”

Theresa was silent, her shoulders shaking.

It was like a silent volcano that was about to erupt.

“Punching King, you—”

Her face was even redder than charcoal.

Every hair on his head was smoking, which was clearly visible even in the vacuum of the universe.

However, before she could utter vulgar words such as ‘big baddie, big liar, shameless bastard’, Theresa felt that her head was heavy, her feet were unsteady, and her vision was blurred.

Demon Lu Qingchen’s three electric shocks were not so easy to bear.

The earthshaking explosion that followed consumed too much of her spiritual energy and even her soul.

After staying in the vacuum of the universe for such a long time, he was not wearing any protective gear, not even an oxygen tank.

He was so furious that he almost passed out.

“Teresa!” Liuli exclaimed.

The magical beauty was about to faint on the mast of Jade.

Several streaks of silver brightness suddenly interweaved behind her and formed a silver, mature woman.

Then, he carried Theresa in his arms.

“I’m sorry. My queen is too tired.”

Deep brilliance was beaming out of the eyes of the mature woman made of liquid metal. “Let me take over everything from now on. I am Jade, a kindred soul of the boxing champion.”

…

Overall, the first contact between the world of cultivation and the world of magic was relatively smooth.

The two parties banished the evil nano lightning life-forms side by side and strengthened their friendship. They got to know each other better and established a certain level of personal friendship.

Moreover, they were amazed by each other’s strength system and could learn many incredible new ways of using spiritual energy.

Everyone was happy.

Only poor Theresa was not very happy.

She lost her temper and did not want to join the grand banquet. Instead, she snuck into the wine cellar of Jade, closed the door, and hid in a corner, holding a giant bottle of wine. Her face was burning, and she was crying nonstop.

“The boxing champion is too despicable, too shameless, too obscene. How could he do this? How could he deceive my feelings like this?

“Liuli, you’ve changed, too. You’re no longer the innocent little girl you used to be. Boohoo.

“Princess Summer, Dragon Lady Hera, and all the other sisters in the world of magic, even you are not willing to fall in love with me. Why? You were even willing to kill Black Jack. How am I not as good as Black Jack? Isn’t it just a bit inconvenient for now? I will change back. I swear that I will be back to my old self. Sob sob sob!”

In the form of a mature woman in silver liquid metal, Jade leaned against the wall and watched the captain drinking and crying.

He suddenly remembered that Kelly Kanna, the previous captain of Jade, had drunk with her in the same wine cellar.

“You are drunk, captain.”

Jade walked over and snatched Theresa’s bottle. “Stop drinking. Be careful of your body.”

“I’m not drunk. Give it back!”

Like a sharp-mouthed animal, Theresa snatched it.

But Jade raised the bottle high. Theresa’s first form was too short for her to reach.

After fishing for a long time, Theresa found nothing and started crying again. “This is me right now. I’m shorter, my alcohol tolerance is worse, and I cry every once in a while. My emotions and body are a hundred times more sensitive than before. I’m a monster. No wonder Liuli, Princess Summer, and Hela don’t like me. I—I’m a monster!”

“I’ve seen billions of lightyears, hundreds of worlds, and countless creatures, but I’ve never seen such a beautiful monster.

Jade placed the wine bottle on a pedestal and hugged Theresa from behind, comforting the magical girl. “Don’t cry. Other than Miss Liu Li and Princess Summer, many other people like you and will even fall in love with you.”

“I admit that. Who asked the damn ‘witch genes’ to be so charming?”

Theresa gritted her teeth. “The problem is that those who like me like ‘Magical Girl Theresa’ instead of ‘Star Ocean Cannon King Hunter’. Those shallow guys only see my appearance. They cannot see my soul at all. I am the real me!

“This is the natural shortcoming of carbon-based life.

Jade nodded. “You are destined to be slaves of the skin. Few people can reach the deepest part of their soul without caring about the skin.

“However, in my opinion, the fire of your soul, Theresa, is like a burning rose that is hundreds of times more glamorous than it appears to be. With the vastness of the sea of stars, you will certainly find a destined marriage. Somebody will fall in love with the real you. It doesn’t matter whether you are a man or a woman, tall or short, childish or mature, smiling or crying, brave or timid, as long as it is you.”

“Re—really?”

For a moment, looking at the silver eyes that were glittering with rainbows, Theresa was lost.

The next second, she threw the jade away in annoyance and jumped up.

“Liar. You artificial intelligences are all big liars. You only know how to listen to what other people like to say. You are the same as the boxing champion. You only know how to cheat, cheat, and bully me!”

“Yes, strong artificial intelligence are all liars.

Jade echoed him as if he were a child. She paused for a moment and said in a low voice, “However, I am still different from the boxing champion.”

“Forget it. You don’t need to comfort me anymore. You’re making me look like a pestering child.”

Theresa took a deep breath and did a few gymnastics exercises. Then she put her hands on her hips and shouted, “I’m a man who can let go when I’m ready. I’m not going to hang myself on a tree, nor am I willing to let Liuli be tangled and hurt. Since she likes the boxing champion so much and we are just brother and sister, I—I’ll be more considerate and wish them, bah, only Liuli, happiness!

“As for Princess Summer and Herla, it’s true that I saved their lives. But if they fall in love with me just because I saved their lives, what’s the difference between me and Black Jack?

“There are plenty of fish in the sea of stars. Emerald, you’re right. I, the Cannon King of the Star Ocean Imperium, am so charming that my masculinity is irresistible. Even if I turn into a girl, it will only slightly increase the difficulty of picking up girls. The Star Ocean Imperium is a vast place. If you look hard enough, you will certainly find your destined lover, won’t you? Hahahaha!”

She burst into laughter.

“Correct.”

“But I think you shouldn’t give up on Miss Liuli,” Jade said.

“Huh?”

Theresa was confused. “What do you mean? Do you want me to harass her? But she doesn’t like me at all. Liuli likes the champion of boxing. I won’t force her, nor will I bully her.”

“I’m not asking you to steal my love. I just want you to think it through. If you really think of Liuli as your childhood friend, you cannot watch her jump into the fire pit.

“It’s fine that she likes someone else,” Jade said. “But she likes the boxing champion, and the boxing champion is a… seemingly honest, but in fact, he is shameless. He is full of schemes, and he is especially irresponsible. He does not even dare to meet you. Can you bear to let your sister fall into his hands?”

“Right!”

Theresa was dazed for a moment. Then she burst into fury. “The Fist King is indeed a piece of sh*t. God knows what dirty tricks he used to fool my Liu Li!”

“He must’ve cheated an ignorant girl with dirty tricks.

Jade said, “Even I, as a fellow Cultivator and a spectator, cannot stand it any longer.

“Then what should I do? I must remind Liu Li and let her see the true face of the boxing champion!”

Theresa hurried to say, “It doesn’t matter if Liuli doesn’t like me. After all, I used to be a bad guy. But she can’t like the boxing champion, either. The guy is even worse than me!”

“It’s not easy. You don’t understand the horror of our artificial intelligence.

Jade said, “We have super data processing ability. We can read thousands of romance novels instantly, watch all the literary works about emotions in the history of mankind, and learn all kinds of tricks to deceive feelings.

“More importantly, we don’t have the concept of ‘shame’ at all. When we fall in love with someone, we will do whatever we can to get them. How shameless!

“If your love rival is both adept at love and shameless, how are you going to deal with her?

“Indeed…”

Theresa was confused. “It sounds like it will be very difficult to expose the boxing champion. How am I going to get Liuli out of the fire pit?”

“Unless you know yourself and your enemy, you will never lose.

“If you want to defeat the boxing champion, you must first understand the boxing champion and the artificial intelligence that is the boxing champion. What are the ten thousand ways to fool a girl?”
