Flower Stealing Master

Lu You is, after all, the next candidate for the head of the Lu family, and now he holds the highest official position in the entire Lu family. As his wife, Wang’s authority is naturally different; the group of women did not dare to offend her and could only leave behind the gifts they brought, departing in displeasure.

After those people left, Wang approached the bedside and gently said, “Wushuang, do not be afraid. You will get better. Your aunt is here with you.”

Lu Wushuang responded with a vague sound, but inwardly she was secretly lamenting. Although she understood the other party’s good intentions, given her current condition, she wished for them to leave sooner. Just now, Wang had suddenly sat down by the bed, causing Lu Wushuang’s heart to race, fearing that she might discover the unusual situation under the covers. Fortunately, Wang’s attention was entirely focused on her illness, so she did not notice anything amiss.

Although Wang felt that Lu Wushuang’s response was somewhat sickly sweet and her tone was indeed a bit strange, she attributed it to the girl’s serious illness and weakness, not realizing that there was a m@n under the covers ki$$ing her b0dy at that moment.

Lu Wushuang was nervously responding to Wang, her entire being tense to the extreme. The man behind her seemed unafraid of anything; despite someone sitting by the bed, he not only did not restrain himself but became even bolder…

Strangely, at first, Lu Wushuang felt some anger, but now her eyes were filled with mist, and the anger in her heart was replaced by a complex and unavoidable emotion. Waves of heat surged through her b0dy, causing her to unconsciously tighten her legs.

At this moment, the maid had already brought hot water as instructed by her mistress. Wang stood up to wring out a towel, saying, “Wushuang, you are too hot. I will help cool you down.”

Upon hearing this, Lu Wushuang’s heart sank. With the blanket still covering her, if Wang really wiped her body, where would Song Qingshu find a place to hide?

“No… it’s not necessary,” Lu Wushuang said in a panic.

“Stop being childish. You are so hot right now; how can you not need it?” Wang ignored her and directly placed the wrung towel on her forehead.

Lu Wushuang quickly calmed down because the other party was only applying a cold compress to her forehead and face, at most wiping her neck, which meant there was no risk of her discovering the secret under the covers.

“Wushuang, are you feeling particularly uncomfortable right now?” Wang suddenly asked.

“No… not at all. Why does Aunt ask that?” Lu Wushuang hurriedly replied, while secretly pondering that it was not discomfort at all; she actually felt quite good. But… could it really continue like this?

“I see that your body seems to be trembling, and your expression appears to be enduring something,” Wang remarked curiously.

Lu Wushuang was instantly embarrassed. It turned out that her body had become extremely sensitive due to Song Qingshu’s actions. As he moved lower, waves of tingling sensations surged from behind, making her feel as if she might fall into an endless abyss at any moment.

“I… I am just a bit cold,” Lu Wushuang hastily found an excuse.

Wang did not suspect anything: “Indeed, someone with a fever often feels cold. Let me cover you with a blanket.”

“Don’t!” Lu Wushuang suddenly screamed.

Wang was startled by her exaggerated reaction and looked at her in confusion.

Lu Wushuang’s face turned red: “I… I want to drink water. Aunt, could you please pour me a glass of water?”

“Look at my memory; you really should drink more water now.” Wang was indeed distracted by her, patting her head before turning to pour her some water.

“Brother Song, please stop,” Lu Wushuang whispered to the man under the covers as Wang turned around.

Unfortunately, it seemed that Song Qingshu did not hear her words; instead, one hand wrapped around her lower abd0men while the other hand moved down her thigh.

Lu Wushuang suddenly felt a bit dizzy, unsure of what to do. Should she continue to let him be? Or should she risk exposure to stop him?

After hesitating for a long while, Lu Wushuang still lacked the courage to expose him. Moreover, deep down in her heart, although she knew this was wrong, there was an irresistible feeling.

Wang quickly brought over the water, and Lu Wushuang hurriedly turned her head, breaking out in a cold sweat. After drinking the water, in order to avoid revealing anything while talking to Wang, Lu Wushuang pretended to fall asleep, tightly closing her eyes and continuously praying in her heart for Wang to leave quickly upon seeing her condition. However, Wang clearly worried about her illness and continued to sit by the window, moistening her forehead and neck.

Lu Wushuang’s eyelashes suddenly trembled; it turned out that Song Qingshu had moved even closer. She felt an overwhelming sense of grievance: this b@stard clearly had a wife at home, yet treated her this way. Every inch of her skin had been t0yed with by him, leaving her wondering how she could ever marry in the future… At the same time, she was perplexed by her own unusual feelings: why was she not more angry? Normally, even a glance from another man on the street would provoke her, yet now, despite his actions, she… she surprisingly did not feel much anger. Could it be… could it be that she had developed feelings for him, and that was why she was willing to be bullied like this? No, that’s not right; she clearly liked the fool! No, she could not let him bully her like this; it would be too unfair to the fool.

Lu Wushuang’s expression changed as she was about to disregard everything and stop him when she suddenly thought of Yang Guo, who not only had a mutual affection with Xiao Longnu but also had a fiancée now. In the past two years, when had he ever thought of her? What did she mean to him? With this thought, her earlier determination instantly faded. She recalled Doctor Qiu saying that she would not live much longer, and that she had too many regrets in this life. Since there were things she had never tried, and Brother Song was not unpleasant, then… she would just let it be.

The last bit of her defenses completely fell away, and she began to experience that different feeling. The only downside was that Wang was sitting not far away, and she had to grit her teeth and endure to avoid being discovered. The thrill of walking the line between reason and desire soon made her legs clamp together, and her b0dy involuntarily tightened and trembled.

Wang’s expression was extremely strange; although Lu Wushuang was deliberately enduring, her body inevitably kept twisting, and her throat could not help but emit some soft sounds. As someone who had been through this, how could she not know what was happening?

“How could Wushuang make such shameful sounds?” Wang’s face turned slightly red, thinking that the girl was delirious after being seriously ill and was having some beautiful dream. However, Wang’s gaze finally fell on the blanket, which seemed to be more bulging than usual. Lu Wushuang was petite; how could she occupy so much space? Coupled with Lu Wushuang’s unusual reactions, Wang’s heart filled with suspicion. She stood up without showing any emotion and then suddenly lifted the blanket.

“Ah~” By the time Lu Wushuang reacted, it was too late to stop it. In that moment, her mind went blank, and the sudden shock and intense stimulation caused her body to erupt, trembling uncontrollably as waves of heat seemed to pour out from her body.

*If I am to die, then let it be.* Lu Wushuang trembled violently, her eyes tightly closed, as if everything outside was irrelevant to her.

“Miss Lu, open your eyes; it’s alright now.” Instead of the expected anger or screams from Wang, a gentle voice from Song Qingshu reached her ears. Lu Wushuang opened her eyes in confusion and saw Song Qingshu looking at her with a smile, while Wang lay silently on the bed.

“What happened to her?” Lu Wushuang exclaimed, the words “kill to silence” popping into her mind. Wang had always treated her well; if something truly happened, she feared she would never have peace of mind for the rest of her life.

“She just fainted, nothing to worry about…” Song Qingshu noticed her concern in her eyes and immediately began to explain. It turned out that just moments ago, Wang had merely lifted the blanket, and before she could see anything, he had struck her sleeping acupoint, causing her to lose consciousness.

Upon learning that Wang had not discovered anything, Lu Wushuang could not help but let out a sigh of relief. As she relaxed, she recalled what Song Qingshu had just done to her, feeling both shy and angry. “Brother Song, why did you… treat me that way just now?”

Song Qingshu was taken aback; he had expected to face a storm of furious accusations, but instead, he found her with this expression, her tone seemingly filled with boundless shyness.

“Miss Lu…” Song Qingshu’s eyes were clear, devoid of any desire.

“You still call me Miss Lu.” Lu Wushuang turned her face away, her tone filled with resentment.

Song Qingshu awkwardly smiled and had no choice but to change his address. “Wushuang, your body temperature was extremely high earlier. I was in the middle of wiping your body when those people interrupted, and your temperature remained elevated. You heard what Doctor Qiu said; you were actually in life-threatening danger. Since he was not confident in saving you, I had no choice but to use another method.”

“Another method?” Lu Wushuang was confused and turned back to look at him. Song Qingshu continued to explain, “The human body has an instinctive regulation of temperature. When the body temperature rises, it sweats to release internal heat. However, a person with a high fever has their immune system actively fighting off illness, requiring an elevated temperature to enhance the immune response. This causes the sweat glands to lock up, so no matter how high the fever, they do not sweat. Only when the immune system overcomes the illness will the sweat glands open, allowing the person to sweat. Thus, it is commonly said that once a person with a high fever sweats, they are basically on the road to recovery.”

Lu Wushuang listened, even more bewildered, murmuring, “Why are you telling me this now?”

“If you listen to me, you will understand,” Song Qingshu continued. “However, there must be a limit. While a higher body temperature helps the immune system eliminate illness, if the temperature rises too high, it can cause irreversible damage to the body, even endangering life. You were in such a situation before, so I had to find a way to lower your temperature.”

“In fact, once the body temperature exceeds 38.5 degrees Celsius, physical cooling is merely a drop in the bucket, having minimal effect. In another world, medications like acetaminophen could quickly reduce fever, but unfortunately, this world lacks such options. I felt your temperature rising under the covers and knew you were hanging by a thread, so I had to use my own method to cool you down.”

Although many of the terms were unfamiliar, Lu Wushuang roughly understood the meaning and shot him a resentful glance. “So you just took advantage of me like that?”
