First Intergalactic Emperor: Starting With The Ancient Goddess

Dominic arrived at his home and rushed to his room while talking to someone on the phone.

”What do you mean I couldn’t handle the matter?!” Dominic yelled. ”Listen, all this is happening because your people didn’t do a good job at securing all the evidence. It’s a good thing that the girl killed herself, or this case could have gone much worse.”

”Yes, I know, we would have killed the girl either way, but the problem is the evidence which she sent to the village boy. He has secured everything and there is nothing we can do.”

Dominic was changing his clothes as he put his phone on the speaker.

[He could be making all this up, you know?]

”Oh, so you think he could be lying. Then you should have come with me to the interrogation room.”

[Holy shit! Are you really scared of that village rat? What happened to you?]

”Look, I am not scared of anyone. You are well off, Aldric. Even if you lose your position as the academy’s chancellor, nothing will change. The Blackwood family’s influence won’t change. John and Alexander are also safe as they have many options. But I can’t say the same about me. I only have one job, and if I am relieved of my duties, I will have nowhere to go.

All the money I have gathered will also be gone. I will lose everything! I will lose my family! My life is on the line here! I can’t afford to take risks.” He shouted.

[I have never seen you so flustered ever since that one time when your wife caught you in the hotel room with one of Maximilian’s classmates in high school.]

”Don’t bring that up!” Dominic hissed. ”I am leaving for the galaxy club to meet a client, who has arranged fake evidence for us. Let’s hope everything goes right and I can finally sleep peacefully.”

[Good luck. Don’t worry about the money. I will handle all the expenses. Once this is over, I will kill that village rat with my own hands!]

Dominic left his house.

Maximilian, who had been waiting for Dominic to leave, finally paused his game and came out of his room. Then, he went to Dominic’s room and searched through the closet.

And he finally found it.

A spare gun.

”I will kill that son of a bitch with my own hands.”

Maximilian put it in his pocket and left the house to go to the prison.

Meanwhile, in the prison.

The cells had opened up, and everyone was having fun. They were waiting for the chime so they could finally vote and kill someone.

And it did.

Everyone immediately gathered around and waited for the rusted console to boot up and display the cell numbers to vote.

Three cells. XBE 44. XBE 69. XBE 83.

The inmates looked at each other with shocked expressions on their faces.

”Hey... isn’t the cell number 69...” someone muttered.

”Yeah, it belongs to the kid.”

”He is a good kid. Let’s leave him alone.”

”Yeah.” Everyone agreed to vote on the other two cells instead.

Cell number XBE 44 received the most votes.

However.

Bull still hadn’t voted.

Everyone stared at him eagerly as they nervously swallowed. And then, he voted.

”XBE 69. The kid is dying today.”

Everyone was shocked to hear that.

”Hey! What did the kid do to you?!”

”Why do you want to kill him?”

Among the group, there was an extra member.

It was Maximilian, who had disguised himself as a prisoner.

’What’s all this?’ He wondered. ’Why are they all defending that village rat? Now, I can’t give my vote or they will gang up on me. Dammit!’

He was confused.

’Wait, so this guy has the passkey this month? That means... Well, it doesn’t matter if they don’t want to kill him. It’s actually better. I will have him all by myself! Maybe I will play with him a bit before I kill him!’

Everyone present there opposed Bull.

Bull turned to them as they took a step back instinctively. ”He is in this yard, so he is going to die someday. What’s all this about?”

”Didn’t he just come yesterday? There is no need to hurry to kill him.”

”Oh? Last night, you were chasing after him, but today, you are saving him? Why? Is it because of the food?” Bull scoffed out arrogantly. ”You are nothing but a bunch of losers.”

”...” None of them could do anything. Bull had the key so he could open any cell he wanted regardless of the voting.

”Now, let’s go grab that kid from his cell and bring him to the bathroom. Where I will kill him with my own hands!”

Although they didn’t want to do it, they had no choice but to follow Bull.

The wolf girl, who was walking right behind Bull, caught up to him and asked, ”Why did you choose him?”

But Bull didn’t reply.

”Look, even others don’t want to kill him today. We still have time since you haven’t opened the cell yet. Please change your mind. I can’t bear to see him die in a barbaric way. Please!” she pleaded with Bull with tears in her eyes.

But, Bull ignored her and kept walking.

They stopped in front of Xavier’s cell. Inside, Xavier was confused. What were they doing there? Surely, Dominic was not foolish to get him killed.

And then, Bull used the passkey to disable the force field. He then beckoned Xavier and said, ”Come out, kid. You treated us a nice meal today, so it’s time for me to repay that favor.”

Xavier quickly followed Bull and others. He was confused, angry, and sad. But he still wasn’t scared.

Everyone stopped in front of the metallic door of the bathroom.

”Go inside, kid.” Bull ordered.

Xavier stepped inside.

”Hey wait!” one of the inmates shouted. ”We are not going in.”

The other inmates found courage and also joined in on the protest. ”Yeah! We are not going in!”

Bull looked at them and then let out a chuckle. ”Do you think I need you? I will snap the kid’s neck off with the flick of my finger! Stay here! I will bring his head to you all soon!”

After saying that, Bull entered the bathroom, and Maximilian also rushed in before Bull could close the door.
