Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

Thud!

The Heir of the Liu Family, whose body had been cleaved cleanly in two, toppled to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.

Crimson blood poured out of his body, staining the earth, staining even the air.

The Heir of the Liu Family’s eyes bulged wide open, his pupils still congealed with thick resentment and unwillingness. He hated Su Han for taking everything from him, and could not accept that, in the end, he simply wasn’t a match for Su Han.

Unfortunately, this battle was ultimately won by Su Han. The Heir of the Liu Family’s vitality faded, his Divine Sense was extinguished; he was completely dead. Even if he still had Emperor Liu’s sap, there was no bringing him back anymore.

The Heir of the Liu Family, thus, fell!

Staring at the dead Heir of the Liu Family, Su Han’s eyes were utterly indifferent, without the slightest ripple of emotion.

As for the Heir of the Liu Family, Su Han felt nothing toward him. If the man hadn’t plotted against Fairy Sister Yun Xian, Su Han and he would have had no intersection at all.

But he absolutely shouldn’t have, in a thousand or ten thousand ways, touched Su Han’s reverse scale. In the end, he wound up dead and his Dao cut off; it could be called karmic retribution.

Su Han dispelled his Demonized State, his whole body returning to its original appearance, and at the same time removed the Ghostly Face Mask.

This battle had not been difficult for him. Not only had his strength broken through, he also commanded more methods and trump cards. The Heir of the Liu Family was strong, but was no longer his opponent.

At the moment, Su Han’s body was completely unharmed; only his Demonic Qi consumption was relatively large, but he would recover with just a few hours of cultivation.

”Fourfold True Fire!”

Su Han waved his hand, and four-colored flames instantly shot out, landing on the Heir of the Liu Family’s body, setting it alight and erasing all traces.

The Heir of the Liu Family did not possess a Special Physique, and in the end he had used a Forbidden Technique, causing most of his vitality to transform into Death Qi. The energy in his flesh and blood was almost exhausted; Su Han couldn’t even be bothered to devour it.

The blaze roared, burning everything, reducing the Heir of the Liu Family’s corpse to ash, wiping him completely from this world.

Su Han reached out and grabbed, and the Green Willow Holy Spear fell into his hand. This was the Heir of the Liu Family’s weapon; not only was it a Superior Grade Holy Artifact, it was also a section of Liu Divine’s willow branch, so it had only been knocked flying and was undamaged.

The Green Willow Holy Spear was extremely special. On it lay countless Sealing Formation Patterns, suppressing the spear’s divine might. Once unsealed, it would erupt with unimaginable, terrifying power.

This counted as a fine treasure, temporarily comparable to the Sword Nurturing Gourd. After playing with it for a while, Su Han stowed it away into the Bronze Ring.

With Su Han’s current strength and horizons, ordinary Holy Artifacts rarely entered his eyes. Only those special Holy Artifacts and rare treasures would receive his careful regard.

Among the Heir of the Liu Family’s Holy Artifact Set, the Green Vine Holy Armor was already scrapped, but the Swift Fury Holy Boots and Golden Spirit Holy Helmet remained; Su Han casually collected them.

To be honest, the spoils of war in Su Han’s hands had already piled up like a mountain. He had dozens of Holy Artifacts alone, to say nothing of other treasures. Yet Su Han had never found a suitable chance to exchange them.

If he were in the Eastern Region, he could go to the Myriad Treasures Pavilion to trade for the items he needed. But here in the Central Plains, he was besieged on all sides, and with him disguised as the Nineteenth Prince, it was not easy to move these spoils.

Fortunately, the Bronze Ring was large enough. These spoils could be stored for now; later, he would look for a chance to sell them off in one go, perhaps fetching an astronomical price.

”Emperor Liu’s Branch!”

Su Han took out the Great Emperor’s Treasure that the Heir of the Liu Family had never managed to activate. This was not a leaf of Liu Divine, but a Great Emperor’s Treasure crafted by Emperor Liu himself—a willow twig the length of a finger, crystal clear, gleaming with azure light, like a Supreme Grade jadeite sculpted into a delicate work of art.

This Emperor Liu’s Branch was not for healing; it was offensive, with incredibly fearsome power, comparable to a single strike from Emperor Liu himself. If the Heir of the Liu Family had managed to use it just now, Su Han’s only options would have been to block it with the Black Demonic Flame or the Indestructible Emperor Talisman.

Great Emperor and Saint Realm—those are utterly different tiers. No matter how many methods Su Han possessed, he could not block a powerhouse of the Great Emperor Realm.

”The trouble of the Heir of the Liu Family has been settled. It’s time to go look for Fairy Sister Yun Xian!”

After finishing the erasure of the corpse, Su Han stopped thinking about the Heir of the Liu Family. Right now, what he worried about more was Lu Yunxian.

The Interlocking Formation he laid down had no problem at all, and Lu Yunxian had personally touched the Azure Dragon Immortality Elixir. So why had the two of them vanished together?

Su Han could not figure it out no matter how he thought about it, but Lu Yunxian was his only family; he had to find her and ensure her safety.

With that in mind, Su Han prepared to investigate in detail.

”Interesting. I didn’t expect that I’d get to watch such a splendid show.”

Just then, a familiar, chilly voice rang out, making Su Han’s heart jolt.

He swiftly turned his head and saw a familiar figure—it was King Yama.

Everyone else had already gone off chasing after the White Tiger Immortality Elixir; only King Yama was unwilling to give up so easily, so he lingered here. However, he had been searching in the distance earlier, thus giving Su Han and the Heir of the Liu Family the chance to fight alone.

It seemed the commotion of the battle had been too great and drew this King Yama over.

Su Han’s heart sank. With his current strength, if he went all out, he could still handle a typical Saint Realm Ninth Layer opponent. But facing a Great Saint, the chances of defeat were enormous, and facing a quasi-emperor was essentially a nine-deaths-one-life situation.

And King Yama was not only one of the Ten Great Yama Kings of King Yama’s Palace, but also a quasi-emperor.

”The Nineteenth Prince of the Heavenly Sword Dynasty? The Black Demon? Or perhaps the Evil Demon? Which one is your true identity, exactly?”

King Yama did not strike immediately. Instead, he looked Su Han over with great interest. His face was also covered by a Ghostly Face Mask, making his true visage impossible to see.

”Character Technique of Motion!”

”Origin Technique: Earth Escape!”

Su Han didn’t say a word. He turned and fled. His speed was extremely fast, but he still didn’t dare claim he could escape from King Yama’s hands.

Yet, beyond his expectations, King Yama did not chase him, nor did he make a move to stop him, but instead simply let him leave.

What was going on?

Su Han was puzzled in his heart, but did not dare to be the slightest bit careless. His heart was in his throat, his vigilance at full.

When something deviates from the norm, there must be something strange. Su Han and King Yama’s Palace were mortal enemies, and he had already exposed many secrets. King Yama had no reason not to attack him.

Yet Su Han really did escape, and King Yama really did not make a move.

Su Han did not stop running. Only after he had fled an extremely far distance did he finally halt. At once, his Divine Sense turned inward, checking to see if King Yama had left any tracking mark or other method on him.

But even after searching more than ten times, Su Han still did not find anything abnormal. It seemed King Yama truly had just let him go.

This... this was simply unbelievable!

”He clearly knows I’m the Black Demon, and has even seen my Demonized State. So why did he let me go?”

Su Han’s brows furrowed tightly, his heart filled with doubt, but he could not obtain any answer. At this moment, he had already escaped very far; his safety was all but assured.

What exactly was King Yama’s intention in doing this?
