Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

Su Han never imagined that as soon as he stepped into the seventh region, he would encounter an Undying herb, and it was an Earth-based Qilin Undying Medicine!

The Qilin stood two meters tall, resembling a deer with a dragon-like tail, its body covered in dragon scales and having a pair of dragon horns, looking quite majestic.

Qilin is a mythical beast, with branches such as Fire Qilin, Thunder Qilin, but the one before him was Earth-based; its dragon scales were dark yellow, matching the color of the ground, and its aura was connected to the earth, embodying terrestrial energy.

At that moment, the Qilin was quite a distance from Su Han, and he could only see it from afar. In the next instant, the Qilin vanished into the ground and disappeared.

Having finally encountered an Undying herb, especially one of the Earth-based Qilin Undying Medicine he needed, Su Han couldn’t let it slip away and immediately prepared to use the Character Technique of Motion to track it.

However, as soon as his foot lifted, he halted, for he sensed a powerful Holy Might.

Whoosh!

A Holy Light swept by and instantly appeared where the Qilin Undying Medicine had been.

With the Nine Heavens Eye, Su Han saw within the Holy Light a short man with a face like dusty earth, incredibly strong, surprisingly a Great Saint Expert, and carrying a familiar chilling aura.

”King Yama’s Palace!”

Su Han’s heart sank—he hadn’t expected to encounter a powerful figure from King Yama’s Palace here, and this person, possessing Great Saint strength, was likely one of the Ten Great Shadow Marshals. Combined with his appearance, Su Han quickly deduced his identity.

One of King Yama’s Palace Ten Great Shadow Marshals, the Earth Spirit Great Saint!

This person possessed the Sacred Body of Hou Tu among the Three Thousand Special Constitutions, exceptionally gifted and strong, naturally attuned to earth, an Earth Element Warrior.

Earth Spirit Great Saint was in pursuit of the Qilin Undying Medicine; as an Earth Element Warrior, this Qilin Undying Medicine was incredibly precious to him. Obtaining it could increase his hope of achieving Path Enlightenment, so he spared no effort in tracking it.

However, the Qilin Undying Medicine itself was strong, comparable to the Ninth Layer of the Saint Realm, and unlike the volatile Vermilion Bird Immortality Elixir, it was cautious and would flee at the slightest disturbance. Its unparalleled Escape Technique meant even the Earth Spirit Great Saint hadn’t succeeded in catching it.

But the Qilin Undying Medicine was too important, so Earth Spirit Great Saint was determined to obtain it. At this moment, he quickly vanished into the ground to continue the chase, not even sparing a glance at Su Han; nothing was more important than the Qilin Undying Medicine.

The Qilin Undying Medicine left; Earth Spirit Great Saint left, yet Su Han sensed three powerful Saint Realm auras, implying more than just Earth Spirit Great Saint was after the Qilin Undying Medicine.

”Hmm?”

Su Han paused in surprise upon recognizing the three individuals, all known to him.

One wore a long robe with a sword pattern, had white hair and child-like face, with thunderous sound echoing as he flew rapidly — it was the Thunderous Sound Sword Saint of Nanshu Jian Gong!

Another wore a simple attire, with dark skin and large hands and feet — it was the Questioning Heart Sword Saint of Heart Sword Sacred Palace.

Not long ago, he had met the Drunken Sword Saint of Spirit Sword Holy Palace, and now he encountered the other two Sword Saints from the great holy sites; truly, fate was not shallow.

As for the third person, although not from the Heavenly Sword Dynasty, Su Han was not unfamiliar.

This was a tall, imposing elder with bronzed skin, harboring a faint Demonic Qi, clearly the Buddha Great Saint of Dugu Imperial Clan, a former Protector of the Dugu Imperial Son but having scattered upon entering the Heavenly Medicine Blessed Land, now also pursuing the Qilin Undying Medicine.

Though Buddha Great Saint was a Great Saint Expert, his Escape Technique was not as proficient as Earth Spirit Great Saint, leaving him behind, but his speed was still considerable, constantly locking onto Earth Spirit Great Saint, never falling behind.

In just moments, Su Han saw four powerful Saints, including two Great Saints and two Sword Saints, illustrating the fierce competition for the Undying herb!

These three saw Su Han but did not pay attention, continuing their chase for the Qilin Undying Medicine.

After all, Su Han had long restored his original appearance, no longer the familiar Nineteenth Prince, so they paid him no mind.

”Buddha Great Saint is ahead; following them will lead to the Qilin Undying Medicine!”

”This Qilin Undying Medicine is too elusive; we’ve chased it for half a month, yet failed to catch it — does anyone have the skill to capture it?”

”Stop wasting time; if we delay any longer, we’ll lose Buddha Great Saint’s track.”

Behind the three saints and Buddha Great Saint, a dozen figures appeared. They were powerful Saint Realm martial artists from various factions, although weaker, with the weakest only at the Third Layer of the Saint Realm.

Unable to capture the Qilin Undying Medicine or keep up with Earth Spirit Great Saint, they cleverly locked onto Buddha Great Saint’s aura, ensuring they could find the Qilin Undying Medicine by following him.

This time, as Heavenly Medicine Blessed Land opened, it attracted a multitude of powerful individuals, particularly Saint Realm experts, who were especially numerous, qualified to contest for Medicine Saint and Undying herbs.

The opening of Heavenly Medicine Blessed Land had approached a month, and most saints were concentrated in regions seven and eight; once an Undying herb was found, the competition was fierce.

Here, Su Han, with Second Layer Saint Realm strength, was insignificant. Without the strength of the Eighth or Ninth Layer of the Saint Realm, or even Great Saint, capturing an Undying herb was out of reach, even tracking it would be impossible.

Yet, what saint entering Heavenly Medicine Blessed Land would readily give up? The land opens once every nine thousand years, and missing this chance means no next opportunity — so regardless of slim hope, they pursued the Undying herb fervently.

What if there’s an unexpected windfall? Such a chance could change destiny, drawing everyone to gamble.

In regions seven and eight, multiple Undying herbs had appeared, with some being chased, others hunted and fought over; no one willing to miss this chance.

”I must obtain the Qilin Undying Medicine!”

The Undying herb is too precious; who wouldn’t want it? Su Han wanted it, especially since it’s the Earth-based Qilin Undying Medicine, one of the essential herbs to cure Fairy Sister Yun Xian; Su Han wouldn’t let it slip by.

Chasing alone, even if caught up, capturing it isn’t guaranteed — now things were optimal, with Earth Spirit Great Saint and Buddha Great Saint, along with other saints tracking it — Su Han could use his old trick once more, letting others struggle and benefit as a fisherman.

With this in mind, Su Han activated the Character Technique of Motion, swiftly joining the pursuit.

The Character Technique of Motion represents the world’s fastest speed — Su Han now can reach twice the speed of sound, his speed not inferior to Buddha Great Saint’s, even able to catch up with Earth Spirit Great Saint, but he chose not to, instead joining the last group of saints, playing dumb, awaiting opportunity.

The second Undying herb, so close at hand!
