Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

In terms of realm, Wei Wenzheng was a whole level above the Great Elder.

In terms of combat power, having received the true teachings of the Mysterious Great Sword Saint, Wei Wenzheng was naturally beyond comparison to the Great Elder.

In terms of treasures, as the master of the House of Wei, Wei Wenzheng naturally possessed considerable wealth. His treasures were more numerous and powerful than the Great Elder’s.

With so many advantages, if Wei Wenzheng still couldn’t defeat the Great Elder, Su Han might have had to ask him to leave.

At this point, the Great Elder was utterly defeated. His right arm was severed, his injuries were severe, and his combat power had plummeted to a mere thirty to forty percent.

”This is not good!”

Seeing this, the expressions of the three Nanshu Jian Gong elders turned grim. They wanted to intervene and rescue him, but they could only clench their teeth and hold back.

The Thunder Sound Sword Saint’s face darkened completely. He too could only endure, lest the consequences become even more severe. At this very moment, they could only trust in the Great Elder.

WHOOSH!

A beam of sword light descended from the sky in swift pursuit. It was Wei Wenzheng. His face was pale, but he was uninjured and still retained seventy to eighty percent of his combat power, far more than the Great Elder.

”Heavenly Rank Low Level Martial Skill: Winds and Clouds Follow!”

The Great Elder was attempting to stop his bleeding while fleeing, as he had no strength left to fight Wei Wenzheng. He executed a movement technique, instantly summoning wind and clouds to swirl around him. His speed increased dramatically as he teleported away to escape.

”You won’t escape!” Wei Wenzheng’s face was solemn as he brandished the Mysterious Gold Holy Sword, its sharp and chilling Holy Might radiating outward.

The Great Elder had a movement technique, but Wei Wenzheng possessed a remarkable one as well. His entire body transformed into a beam of sword light that sliced through space, swiftly pursuing his quarry. Su Han had given him the task without regard for life or death, which meant he could slay the Great Elder.

Even using a Heaven Rank Martial Technique, the seriously injured Great Elder could not escape Wei Wenzheng’s pursuit and was quickly overtaken.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The two erupted into battle again, but this time the scales were completely tipped. Wei Wenzheng attacked forcefully, driving the Great Elder back again and again and aggravating his injuries.

Witnessing the Great Elder’s pitiful state, the three elders of Nanshu Jian Gong were filled with resentment and wanted to step in to save him.

”Do you wish to intervene?” Aboard the Golden Chariot, Su Han’s voice rang out coldly, causing the three elders’ expressions to shift. In the end, they had no choice but to unclench their fists and sigh helplessly.

Wei Wenzheng’s strength surprised Su Han, making him change his mind. He now wanted the Great Elder to fall right here. As long as no one interfered, given the Great Elder’s current state, death was only a matter of time. Therefore, all he needed to do was hold back the Thunder Sound Sword Saint and his companions. The rest he could leave to this convenient uncle-in-law of his.

”Your Highness, the Great Elder has lost an arm, and his injuries are grievous. He likely won’t have the chance to advance any further in this lifetime. I implore Your Highness to show mercy and spare his life!” the Thunder Sound Sword Saint couldn’t bear it and pleaded, hoping Su Han would relent.

”Either the Great Elder dies, or Nanshu Jian Gong is destroyed. You may choose.”

Su Han was forceful and domineering, outright rejecting the Thunder Sound Sword Saint’s plea. Today, the Great Elder had to die.

Hearing Su Han’s words, the Thunder Sound Sword Saint knew the Great Elder’s chances were slim and could only sigh inwardly. Alas... When weighing the life of one Great Elder against the entire Nanshu Jian Gong, the choice required no hesitation.

”Great Elder, run!” the Thunder Sound Sword Saint transmitted with his Divine Sense. As long as the Great Elder escaped, there was little Su Han could do.

The Great Elder had also overheard the conversation and knew he had no other choice: either die here or escape from Nanshu Jian Gong and live the rest of his days as a fugitive. Compared to death, he naturally preferred to live, so he continued to fight while retreating.

WHOOSH!

The Great Elder reached out and grabbed a palm-sized purple crystal. The stone shone brilliantly, crackling with countless flashes of Thunder Light from within and emanating a terrifying aura of destruction.

”A Thunder Spirit Crystal!” Wei Ying, who was by Su Han’s side, exclaimed in shock as her expression changed.

This was a naturally formed treasure, the result of lightning condensed to its absolute limit. The palm-sized Thunder Spirit Crystal contained terrifying electrical energy, enough to pose a lethal threat to a Saint. Clearly, this was the Great Elder’s last resort. He intended to use the Thunder Spirit Crystal to fend off Wei Wenzheng and buy himself a chance to escape.

”Go!”

The Great Elder activated the Thunder Spirit Crystal. In an instant, purple thunderbolts erupted like a volcanic explosion.

BOOM!

The sky above Nanshu Jian Gong was completely transformed into a Thunder Sea a kilometer wide, teeming with writhing lightning serpents. Each serpent was powerful enough to pulverize a ten-thousand-foot mountain, a truly terrifying sight. The Great Elder directed this Thunder Sea at Wei Wenzheng and then turned to flee without a second glance. With his strength, as long as the Thunder Sound Sword Saint and the others didn’t intervene, it would be too late for even Wei Ying to pursue him now.

PHEW!

Seeing this, the three elders of Nanshu Jian Gong breathed a collective sigh of relief. They shared a profound bond with the Great Elder and did not wish to see him fall here. If he could escape, that would be for the best. After all, living as a fugitive was far better than death.

”Hmm?”

Suddenly, the Thunder Sound Sword Saint’s expression shifted. He looked sharply toward the Thunder Sea, his eyes wide with shock.

A figure flew out from within the roiling sea of lightning. It was Wei Wenzheng.

He was now wearing a suit of Holy Armor woven from Dragon Silkworm Silk. The silkworms that produced this material possessed a trace of True Dragon blood, making their silk incredibly tough, resistant to blades, and impervious to water and fire. Its defensive power was extreme, making it a precious treasure coveted by countless people.

The Dragon Silkworm Silk Holy Armor on Wei Wenzheng was woven entirely from this material and was also a Superior Grade Holy Artifact. As Holy Light flowed across its surface and the power of time burst forth, it successfully withstood the Thunder Sea created by the Thunder Spirit Crystal.

The Mysterious Gold Holy Sword and the Dragon Silkworm Silk Holy Armor—one for offense and one for defense, both Superior Grade Holy Artifacts. It was clear just how much the Mysterious Great Sword Saint doted on his eldest son.

Possessing these two treasures, Wei Wenzheng’s combat power was immense. He flew out of the Thunder Sea, transforming into a rainbow of sword light and swiftly pursuing the Great Elder.

It’s over!

Seeing the Dragon Silkworm Silk Holy Armor on Wei Wenzheng, the faces of the three Nanshu Jian Gong elders turned pale, their hearts sinking to the pit of their stomachs. The Thunder Spirit Crystal was the Great Elder’s final gambit, but it had been blocked. In his current, severely injured state, he was definitely no match for Wei Wenzheng.

Wei Wenzheng quickly caught up with the heavily injured Great Elder. He gripped the Mysterious Gold Holy Sword tightly as beams of sword light swept through the air, slashing at him. Though the Great Elder struggled to defend himself, he was already grievously injured, and the disparity in their strength was too great. He was completely outmatched.

”Slay!”

Wei Wenzheng’s face was expressionless as his Mysterious Gold Holy Sword erupted with a sharp, lethal edge and slashed fiercely at the Great Elder.

”No!”

The Great Elder’s pupils constricted, his eyes filled with despair. He struggled frantically, desperate to live, but it was futile in the face of absolute power.

SPURT!

With a flash of the sword, a bloody head flew into the air, spraying blood in all directions.

With one strike, the Great Elder was dead.
