Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

Within the Prison Divine Palace, where nothing had changed for ten thousand years, an expanse of golden Buddha Light now illuminated everything. It exuded righteousness and compassion, a Buddha Nature that inspired one to cast aside their weapons and attain Buddhahood on the spot.

Among the three thousand gods and demons, a Vajra Arhat had fully awakened. He had a dignified appearance and a solemn expression. His entire body was golden, as if cast from gold, and he embodied the immense, fearless, and compassionate power of a great Vajra. The aura emanating from him could influence mortals and deliver all living beings to transcendence.

This was the god corresponding to the Vajra Holy Body, and he was an Arhat from Buddhism.

Buddhism, as recorded in ancient texts, was a traditional major religion that had once divided the world into three parts along with Daoism and Confucianism. It was said that its followers later ascended en masse to a certain Divine World and had never returned. In the present-day Desolate Heavenly Ancient Realm, some remnants of Buddhism’s legacy remained, but they were incomplete and did not form a cohesive system. The existing Buddhist factions also lacked the dominating power they once possessed.

Within Buddhism, the Buddha is revered above all, followed by Bodhisattvas, Arhats, Venerables, and Messengers. Even the lowest-level Messengers are equivalent to experts in the God Realm. Having received the memory inheritances from the seventeen gods and demons, Su Han understood these secrets. His expression was grave, as he dared not underestimate the Vajra Arhat before him.

”The heir to the Cruel Demon Emperor?”

The majestic and solemn Vajra Arhat turned a furious glare on Su Han, his aura heavy with profound authority.

Bodhisattvas have downcast, gentle eyes, while Vajras have furious glares, representing Buddhism’s compassion and might, respectively. The Vajra Arhat before him was the embodiment of might.

All gods and demons within the Prison Divine Palace had once died at the hands of the Cruel Demon Emperor. Now, the Vajra Arhat saw through Su Han at a glance, understanding everything.

”As a follower of the Buddha, I shall slay demons and monsters to deliver all souls. Little demon, meet your death!”

The Vajra Arhat, being the embodiment of might, had no compassionate side and attacked Su Han directly. His strength was on par with Su Han’s, both being at the Supreme Realm Fifth Layer, but the many Secret Techniques he possessed were extremely powerful.

”Vajra Giant Palm Seal!”

The Vajra Arhat brought his palm down in a strike. Golden Buddha Light burst forth from it, shining as though the palm was cast from Divine Gold and emanating the property of Vajra Undying and the eternal nature of all things. A single palm strike caused space to quake and tear, unleashing a terrifying force that swept forth like a golden Buddha Mountain, aiming to crush Su Han with one blow.

”Golden Emperor Tanyang Fist!”

Su Han’s expression was solemn. Sparing no effort, he threw a punch with his left hand. The Great Accomplished Holy Body and Great Luo Golden Body were both activated, and the Golden Fist Radiance he unleashed tore a hole through space, colliding directly with the Vajra Giant Palm Seal.

CLANG!

A harsh, grating sound of clashing metal resounded through the Prison Divine Palace, like two mountains of gold colliding, deafening and intensely fierce. Both Su Han and the Vajra Arhat were sent reeling back, their clash surprisingly even.

It should be known that not only was Su Han’s Holy Body at Great Accomplishment, but it had also been enhanced by Marrow Cleansing and Tempering Body with Thunder. Coupled with the Great Luo Golden Body, the strength of his Physical Body was unparalleled. Yet the Vajra Arhat possessed the Vajra Holy Body and was blessed by Buddha Light, making him equally unbreakable and formidable.

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

The Vajra Arhat lunged to attack, and Su Han met him head-on. In an instant, they exchanged hundreds of blows, leaving space shattered and fragmented.

WHOOSH!

A surge of golden Buddha Light burst forth, forming a Domain. Within it, the silhouettes of eighteen arhats could be vaguely seen.

”Devouring Demonic Domain!”

Su Han quickly expanded his own Domain to collide with the Domain of Buddha Light. Black versus gold, righteous against wicked, the two diametrically opposed forces clashed like fire and water. However, this was the Prison Divine Palace, where Su Han’s Devouring Heaven Demonic Art was enhanced. At this moment, the Devouring Demonic Domain gained the upper hand, overpowering the Buddha Light Domain.

”The Buddhist Law is boundless!” the Vajra Arhat chanted, then interlaced his hands to form a special seal. ”Vajra Subduing Demons!”

The Arhat struck out with the seal, instantly condensing a golden Buddha figure. This figure radiated boundless Buddha Light but was rather indistinct, its true features unclear. Nevertheless, it erupted with a solemn, majestic, and sacred aura. This aura made Su Han extremely uncomfortable, as though he were facing a real, great Buddha. Terrifying fluctuations of Buddha Nature washed over him, giving him the urge to convert to Buddhism.

Not good!

Shock went through Su Han’s heart. He quickly stirred his Defying Heavenly Demon Will, using his unyielding Demonic Intent to resist the dignified Buddha Nature. However, the power of the Arhat’s Divine Method was immense, like a true great Vajra Buddha making a move, intending to subdue the demon and force its conversion to the Buddhist Sect.

”Physique Fusion, I am the Demon Emperor!”

Su Han clenched his teeth and swiftly executed the Demonic Emperor Physique, merging with it. His whole being exuded a dark, cold, and domineering temperament, like a young Demon Emperor prepared to battle a Buddha.

”You insignificant demon, submit to the law at once!”

The Vajra Arhat’s eyes bulged with anger. His sharp rebuke was like a thunderbolt from a clear sky exploding within Su Han’s sea of consciousness, causing his Heart Spirit to waver, nearly overcome by the Buddha Nature.

”Devouring Heaven Demonic Art, devour everything!”

Su Han attacked with his full power, channeling the Devouring Heaven Demonic Art while activating his Great Accomplished Holy Body and performing the Black Hole Transformation. Simultaneously, his Devouring Demonic Domain unleashed a powerful devouring force. Not stopping there, the black hole around his Demonic Emperor Physique shot out, transforming into a Third Layer Black Hole that contained the Holy Meteor Mountain he had acquired. With the combined might of his Devouring Demonic Domain, Black Hole Transformation, Devouring Heaven Demonic Art, and the Third Layer Black Hole, Su Han’s devouring power reached a terrifying level, allowing him to devour and refine the sacred Golden Buddha Light.

The Vajra Arhat was strong, but he had died long ago and was now nothing more than a consciousness. Coupled with the boost from the Prison Divine Palace, the Golden Buddha Light was devoured bit by bit. In the end, the Arhat perished unwillingly, completely devoured and refined by Su Han.

PHEW!

Su Han collapsed to the ground, taking deep, ragged breaths, his body extremely weak. This battle was far more dangerous than the one with the Five Ghost Saint Heir. The Vajra Arhat was not only powerful but also possessed a terrible power of conversion that had almost ensnared Su Han.

Buddhism was truly a terrifying traditional major religion!

Let me see what’s in his memory.

After resting for a moment, Su Han closed his eyes, receiving the memory inheritance of the Vajra Arhat. The Arhat’s memories consisted mostly of Buddhist Law and doctrine. Su Han only took a brief look, not daring to delve too deeply. He was afraid his willpower would be insufficient to resist being influenced by the Buddhist Law.

”Divine Method: Vajra Subduing Demons!”

From the Vajra Arhat’s memory, Su Han obtained his strongest Buddhist technique. This was no ordinary Divine Method but a mysterious art that used Vajra Buddha Nature to suppress an enemy’s will to fight and force them to convert to Buddhism. The most terrifying aspect of this technique was that once an enemy was successfully converted, they would become a completely obedient Puppet.

Time to go back!

Exiting the Prison Divine Palace and stepping out of the mirror space, Su Han looked around before turning to leave. This expedition had been full of gains, but to find the Life Spring Water, he still had to rely on the Zi Mansion Holy Son to lead the way.
