Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

Xuan Song was dead, an outcome no one could have anticipated.

After all, he hailed from the Tian Luo Net Holy Land, possessed the Mountain-Suppressing Sacred Body, wielded the strength of the Heavenly King Realm Third Layer, and was ranked sixty-first on the Prodigy Leaderboard. A figure like him rarely fell unless there were special circumstances. The Tian Luo Saint had trusted him completely, viewing this task as effortless and feeling no concern for Xuan Song’s safety.

Even Ye Chuanfeng and the Earth Fiend Demon Sovereign, despite being severely injured by the Purple Flame Holy Jade, believed Xuan Song alone could hunt down and kill Su Han. Unfortunately, what had seemed like a certainty to everyone took an unexpected turn. Now, Xuan Song lay torn in half, a gruesome sight.

Although Su Han had successfully killed Xuan Song, he had paid an extremely heavy price. His body was now completely overrun by the Black Blade demonic energy, and the Great Majestic Demon King’s triumphant laughter echoed throughout his sea of consciousness.

”HAHAHA! I knew you would summon me sooner or later. No one can stop me now. Be a good boy, let me possess you, and we will become one!”

The Great Majestic Demon King had been sealed within the Black Blade for countless years. He had devised numerous escape plans, but every single one had failed. Su Han’s appearance gave him hope, and on several previous occasions, he had come dangerously close to succeeding.

This time, Su Han’s Demonic Qi was depleted, leaving his body vulnerable and giving the demon an opportunity to invade. The Great Majestic Demon King’s Demonic Qi had already taken over Su Han’s entire body. As long as he could seize Su Han’s sea of consciousness, his possession would be successful, and he would finally be free. The Great Majestic Demon King was smug, absolutely certain of his victory. In his eyes, Su Han had no way to fight back. This time, he was destined to win.

However, unlike the previous times, Su Han was neither panicked nor terrified. He was completely calm and composed.

”Heaven and Earth Physique, manifest!”

With his consciousness not yet fully seized, Su Han swiftly condensed his Heaven and Earth Physique, and instantly, the Demon Emperor appeared once more.

Countless Black Netherworld Flowers spun through the air, coalescing into a black silhouette. This figure was tall and stood with his hands clasped behind his back. He wore the Ghostly Face Mask and an imperial robe embroidered with Black Netherworld Flowers. Ten black holes materialized around him, resembling ten black suns.

An Imperial Might steeped in Demonic Nature erupted from his body. The space-time around him seemed to shatter as a terrifying vision of all creation crumbling into oblivion unfolded, as if he were the very demon of world destruction!

”Demon... Demon Emperor!”

Seeing the Demonic Emperor Physique and feeling its terrifying and overwhelming Demonic Might, the Great Majestic Demon King’s laughter choked in his throat as if a hand had seized it. Although he was a Demon King who looked down on all living things, he was nothing compared to a Demon Emperor. It was like a minor sorcerer facing a grand wizard.

He could never have imagined that Su Han was capable of condensing the Demonic Emperor Physique. It was as unbelievable as an ant emitting a Dragon’s Might.

It’s just as I thought!

A sharp glint flashed in Su Han’s eyes, and he breathed a quiet sigh of relief. This was his greatest trump card, the reason he had dared to actively undergo Demonization this time. Since his breakthrough to the Physique Realm, he had been able to condense the Demonic Emperor Physique. He believed that the Cruel Demon Emperor—the ruthless being who created the Devouring Heaven Demonic Art and imprisoned three thousand gods and demons—was far more powerful than the Great Majestic Demon King.

Of course, it had been a monumental gamble. Had he lost, he would have been possessed and faced certain death. Fortunately, his bet paid off.

”Physique Fusion! I am the Demon Emperor!”

Unwilling to give the Great Majestic Demon King any opportunity, Su Han immediately performed the Physique Fusion. The Demonic Emperor Physique merged into his body, and with the Ghostly Face Mask upon his face, the fusion became even more complete. As they merged, the Devouring Heaven Demonic Art activated on its own, and the mask began to emanate the pure, unadulterated Imperial Might of the Cruel Demon Emperor.

”Forgive me, Lord Demon Emperor! I didn’t realize he was your successor. I will take my leave at once!”

The Great Majestic Demon King trembled violently, like a mouse facing a cat. Now fully understanding Su Han’s status, he dared not linger. The vast Black Blade demonic energy receded into the Black Blade like a swift tide.

Ultimately, Su Han’s Demonized State faded, returning him to his original appearance. The Great Majestic Demon King’s Demonic Intent had shrunk back into the Black Blade, no longer daring to attempt possession.

After this incident, the Great Majestic Demon King would likely never again harbor any designs on Su Han. However, this was not what Su Han wanted.

”Great Majestic Demon King, shall we talk?” Su Han said, taking the initiative as he held the Black Blade.

The Demonized State was extremely powerful and served as a vital trump card. If the Great Majestic Demon King refused to lend him Demonic Qi in the future, that trump card would be lost.

”Human, since you are the great Demon Emperor’s successor, I admit defeat. What more is there to say?” the Great Majestic Demon King sneered. He feared the Cruel Demon Emperor, but he still looked down on Su Han.

”You are a demon, and so am I. We walk the same path,” Su Han said solemnly, making no effort to hide his intentions. ”I wish to borrow your power, and you wish to escape the Black Blade. Only by cooperating can we both benefit.”

”Why should I trust you? What if you go back on your word once you become powerful? I’ll have no way to deal with you,” the Great Majestic Demon King retorted. He was old and cunning, not one to be swayed by a few simple words.

”I can’t give you a guarantee on that,” Su Han stated, pressing his advantage. ”But you don’t have any other options. Even without Demonization, I possess enough strength and talent to succeed. You, on the other hand, will never have another chance to escape.”

Having absorbed the memories of many gods and demons, Su Han was no amateur. He knew his advantages and laid them bare, cornering the demon.

The Great Majestic Demon King fell silent. He had to admit that Su Han was right. With his talent and strength, and as the successor to the Demon Emperor, Su Han was destined to hold dominion over the world so long as he didn’t die prematurely. If he missed this chance, he might truly never escape, especially since his last opportunity for possession was now gone.

Am I truly destined to be sealed here forever?

Su Han said no more, giving the Great Majestic Demon King ample time to think. He was confident the demon would make the right choice. In truth, the Great Majestic Demon King had no better choice, unless he was resigned to an eternity in darkness. But judging by his repeated attempts at possession, it was clear he was far from resigned.

”Successor of the great Demon Emperor, I will trust you this one time,” the Great Majestic Demon King finally relented, agreeing to Su Han’s proposal for cooperation. A look of joy appeared in Su Han’s eyes.

”However, my power is sealed, and I can only use a fraction of it,” the demon continued, stating his terms. ”I need flesh and blood. The more, the better. Bring me flesh and blood, and I will provide you with the power of Demonization!”

Su Han agreed to this condition. While he wouldn’t slaughter the innocent, he had plenty of enemies. Providing their remains to the Great Majestic Demon King after killing them was perfectly acceptable.

With everything settled, a smile finally broke out on Su Han’s face.

”A pleasure cooperating with you.”
