Evolution: From Little Devil to Devil Empress

Chapter 680: Dimensional Leap & Divine Emperor’s Shock

Liora’s descent into reality was far less complicated than her ascent to the River of Time’s dimension.

As though she had simply taken a step forward, her body abruptly landed in the real world.

She was still in the ancient city.

With a single glance, Liora judged that her advancement process, whether it was removing her Throne from the River of Time or her tracing through her past, had only taken a few seconds from start to finish.

Nothing had changed. Everything remained the same.

Well… everything besides her.

With Liora’s current strength and insight, there was nothing in the ancient city that could hide from her.

No. Few things could hide from her in the entire Cosmic Universe.

Her strength had reached a terrifying level.

Rank 12?

Perhaps in terms of sheer raw power.

However, the methods of Ancient Devils granted her far greater combat prowess and mysterious methods.

For example…

Liora’s eyes flashed.

The next moment, her body began to disperse.

Or rather, to ascend into another plane.

As though she had become a high-dimensional creature, she disappeared from sight.

When she reappeared, she was inside the core of the Divine Emperor’s Kingdom of God.

The shift in space had been instantaneous.

It was neither because of sheer speed nor the effect of teleportation.

Rather, it was the result of the Ancient Devils’ ability to access the River of Time.

With a thought, Liora could ascend to her Throne, entering a higher dimension.

Then, with another thought, she could descend back to reality, subtly changing her landing location.

The result looked similar to teleportation at first glance.

However, it was completely different.

“Teleportation can be stopped, whether through physical might or by sealing the surrounding space. It’s why no person dares to escape by entering hidden space layers.”

“This ability, however…”

Liora judged that one would need to access the River of Time as well, or at least possess extraordinary control over the power of time, to stop it.

Following her increase in raw strength, Liora had also found a way to improve her escape capabilities!

Her eyes flashed again.

Her body ascended once more.

This time, however, she wasn’t alone where she landed.

Instead, she appeared right in front of another person.

“Who?!”

A thunderous shout rang.

The Divine Emperor was both furious and fearful.

He couldn’t understand what was happening.

Although weakened, his power within the Kingdom of God had reached a terrifying level.

Even Rank 12 and Rank 13 beings would be unable to approach him without him ever noticing.

Yet now, someone had actually sneaked up on him?

And they had gotten within a few feet of his body, no less!

The Divine Emperor shuddered at that thought.

He subconsciously turned around, intending to unleash his full strength to deal with the intruder.

But halfway through the motion, his movements suddenly stopped.

His eyes widened as a beautiful face entered his vision.

“It’s… you…” The Divine Emperor pointed at Liora, unable to hide his inner shock.

He couldn’t understand what was happening.

Although Liora was certainly terrifying, this was because of her status as the Human Emperor.

As for her own strength?

It was hardly noteworthy to the once-Rank 13 Divine Emperor.

But what she had just achieved went beyond all his expectations.

For a moment, the Divine Emperor couldn’t help but wonder.

Could it be that Liora had regained her full strength and even gone beyond her peak? Had she transcended the Cosmic Universe?

Despite his high status and many years of experience, the shock and astonishment were practically written all over the Divine Emperor’s face.

Liora quickly noticed his emotions.

However, she didn’t think any less of him. She knew it made sense.

For a being of their level to be approached so easily without being able to detect it at all was a grave matter.

After all, Liora could take action millions of times in a split second.

If she could approach the Divine Emperor silently, what was stopping her from assassinating him without him ever being able to see her?

For the Divine Emperor, this was something to be scared about.

But for Liora, it was the opposite.

The more she thought about it, the more satisfied she became.

With this ability—which she named Dimensional Leap—her threat level had entered a completely different level.

As long as someone could not sense higher dimensions like Anna, Liora would be able to approach them silently.

Combined with her raw Rank 12 strength, even Rank 13 beings would be caught off guard.

At best, they would be injured. At worst, they would perish outright.

In a single advancement, Liora had turned into the most terrifying assassin in the history of the Cosmic Universe!

Only a select few people could stop her if she wished to assassinate them.

Although Liora was excited inside, she showed none of it on the surface.

Glancing at the Divine Emperor, who was staring at her with a solemn gaze filled with apprehension, she lightly shook her head.

“There’s no reason to be so scared. I just happened to recover more of my strength and wanted to try out a new ability,” she said casually.

She gave the Divine Emperor no time to answer.

Under his incredulous gaze, her body disappeared, as though it had been erased from existence.

Only a hand gently patted his shoulder. When he turned to look, however, he could only catch a faint outline.

Only a voice lingered behind.

“It seems that this ability is quite effective. If I wanted to, wouldn’t I be able to…?”

Liora did not finish her words, but the Divine Emperor understood her meaning.

He also understood her goal.

She was demonstrating something simple: as long as she wanted, Liora could kill him without even needing to activate the mark engraved on his body.

Even if he knew something, that unknown ability would render him unable to react.

The moment that realization dawned upon him, the Divine Emperor’s expression changed.

The remaining thoughts urging him to struggle against Liora disappeared.

He didn’t want to die! He wanted to experience this Era and transcend the Cosmic Universe!

As long as he could achieve this goal, he was willing to endure any humiliation!

—

Liora did not know what the Divine Emperor was thinking.

After experimenting with her Dimensional Leap for a few more minutes, she finally flashed one last time, appearing in front of another person.

As soon as she landed, a voice rang in her ears.
