”Hopping a wall counts as Climbing?”

Seeing the notification pop up on his panel, Chen Jue landed and turned to look back at the wall behind him.

The wall wasn’t actually that high, only about 2.5 meters. But compared to the simple, mechanical act of climbing stairs, it was quite difficult for an ordinary person to get over.

It wasn’t just a matter of jumping ability; you also needed enough upper body Strength to pull yourself up once your hands hooked the top edge of the wall.

Chen Jue’s last recorded weight was 80.5 kg, which meant he could now easily lift an 80-kilogram object.

He could feel that vaulting over this wall once hadn’t been much of a struggle.

If it were over 3 meters high, it might start to be a little difficult for him now.

’Over 3 meters... wouldn’t that mean I could easily pull myself up to a second floor with just my hands?’ Chen Jue thought.

But then he thought of an expert in Rock Climbing like Yu Jie, who could easily kick off a wall to reach a handhold over 4 meters up. Compared to that, hopping a wall was clearly nothing. He had to keep training hard.

...

Like many universities, Jiang University had a semi-open campus. Buses even ran through it, so security was relatively lax. Only a few of the main gates were guarded, which was why Chen Jue didn’t attract any attention from security when he hopped the wall.

After climbing the wall, the first thing he passed was an indoor stadium with an outdoor swimming pool next to it. However, it was already late autumn and the weather was getting colder, so the outdoor pool wasn’t open to the public.

The lights in the stadium were flashing; some sort of school event was clearly being held inside.

Since Chen Jue was on his way to treat someone to a meal, he didn’t go in to join the fun.

After passing through this public activity area, he came to a park-like lake. There were small bridges and gazebos over the water, and on the far side, he could see the lit-up library, academic buildings, and student dormitories.

The endless streams of bicycles on the paths and the university students chatting and laughing all showcased the youthful energy of this top-tier institution.

”This campus really is huge!”

”I didn’t notice when I drove through before. Walking across it is exhausting.”

Chen Jue couldn’t help but sigh. Coming from Wangyang Apartment, he had essentially crossed the entire Jiang University campus vertically, a walking distance of over 2 kilometers.

He had walked quite fast, at a pace close to a slow jog, and it still took him about 15 minutes to reach the designated cafeteria.

Zheng Yuan was already waiting at the cafeteria entrance. When he saw Chen Jue arrive on foot, drenched in sweat, both he and the pretty girl beside him were stunned.

”Brother Jue, maybe you should grab a share bike next time! It’s a really long way from Wangyang.” Zheng Yuan quickly greeted him and then made an Introduction for the pretty girl by his side.

This was Zheng Yuan’s girlfriend, Lin Xiaoyue. Like him, she was a third-year student in the School of Life Sciences.

”Long? I think it was fine!” Chen Jue gave a slight smile, because just as he arrived at the cafeteria on foot, another notification popped up on his panel:

In his current situation, nothing made Chen Jue happier than earning more Attributes.

The 15-minute brisk walk was equivalent to a warm-up jog at the gym. Compared to slowly practicing Tai Chi, it burned more calories, generated more metabolic energy, and was a more efficient form of exercise.

However, exercises like brisk walking and running, much like frequently climbing stairs, were aerobic activities that were hard on joints like the ankles and knees. When it came to long-term health benefits, they weren’t as good as Tai Chi.

...

The three of them chatted for a bit at the entrance before going into the cafeteria to order food.

Since Chen Jue was treating, that kid Zheng Yuan didn’t hold back at all, ordering four hearty main dishes—enough for the three of them to have a big meal.

The cost was low, too. The meal for all three of them was less than one hundred yuan, a testament to the benefits at these top-tier universities.

At the table, besides asking Zheng Yuan about the status of his bizarre research project, Chen Jue also took the opportunity to inquire about academic majors related to the human body.

Jiang University offered as many as 95 majors, its strength second only to Qingbei. For a poor student like Chen Jue to pick a suitable one from so many options, he’d probably have to burn quite a few brain cells.

”Brother Jue, don’t worry! I’ve already looked into the majors for you.”

”At our university, the fields that study the human body are basically Biological Sciences, Physical Education, Biomedical Engineering, Biomedicine, and Clinical Medicine.”

”Many of the courses in these majors overlap, and a lot of the material from freshman to senior year is repeated. I’ll have Xiaoyue put together a list for you and send it on WeChat. She’s our class’s academic and organization committee member, so compiling this kind of information is a piece of cake for her!” Zheng Yuan chuckled, happily putting an arm around his girlfriend.

”Then I’ll have to trouble you both! The next meal is on me, too!” Chen Jue laughed cheerfully. Although he had to watch their public display of affection, he was still quite happy.

Having two top students help him vet the course options would definitely save him a lot of energy.

As for Zheng Yuan’s bizarre research project, he just said it was still in the preparation phase. He would notify Chen Jue and his cousin to come in for testing once it was officially launched.
