Evil MC's NTR Harem

Chapter 739: Chapter 739 Line

Lunch came and went with a buzz of excitement as the house contestants handed in their carefully crafted lists of items to buy with their newly awarded budget.

The living room was filled with laughter, chatter, and lighthearted debates about what to prioritize—luxury snacks, gadgets, or simple comforts.

For a brief moment, the weight of the competition seemed to lift, replaced by camaraderie and shared dreams of indulgence.

But as the sun dipped below the horizon, the atmosphere shifted.

The usual background noise quieted down, replaced by a tense anticipation.

All eyes were drawn to the large TV screen in the center of the room as it flickered to life.

A stark, ominous message appeared in bold letters:

”Chains of Trust.”

The contestants leaned in closer, the weight of the words sinking in.

”House contestants will be paired randomly. You must act and behave normally with your assigned partner. Failure to do so will result in immediate elimination of the pair. The weekly task will be considered a failure if no pairs remain by the end. Trust and cooperation are your only paths to survival. Good luck, house contestants!”

As the message faded, the screen shifted to display a list of names paired side by side.

Whispers erupted around the room—some surprised, others nervous.

Eyes flickered between potential partners, trying to guess who might prove trustworthy and who might become a liability.

Then, the heavy metal case was wheeled in, catching the harsh overhead light.

Its contents clinked loudly as it was opened, revealing a dozen sets of cold, unforgiving handcuffs.

A hush fell over the contestants as the reality of the challenge set in—these pairs would be physically bound, forced to cooperate, forced to trust.

The House Boss’s voice echoed through the room, calm but authoritative: ”From this moment on, you and your partner will be handcuffed together. You must complete your daily routines and interact as if nothing is different. Show no signs of hesitation or discord. The slightest misstep will mean elimination.”

Contestants glanced nervously at their partners, some offering hesitant smiles, others stiffening with uncertainty.

The tension was thick enough to cut.

Ross caught Heaven’s eye across the room, giving her a reassuring nod.

As the handcuffs clicked shut, the room buzzed with a mixture of excitement, fear, and determination.

The Chains of Trust weekly task had begun.

”Fuck! What kind of bad luck is this?” one of the guys shouted, pulling at his wrist like the cuffs might magically come off.

”Why the hell did I get paired with another dude? Shit!”

He wasn’t the only one complaining.

Groans and curses spread like wildfire as several of the male contestants realized they’d been paired with other men.

Their eyes darted toward the luckier ones—especially those handcuffed to the most attractive women in the house.

Ross, naturally, was one of them.

He stood tall, calm, a slight smirk on his lips as he watched the others sulk.

Jealousy clung to the air like smoke. But Ross didn’t care.

He wasn’t paired with Heaven, sure—but that didn’t bother him.

Heaven had ended up with another girl, and honestly, she seemed fine with it.

Ross didn’t feel any sting of jealousy, either.

Their connection was solid... but that didn’t mean he couldn’t enjoy what fate—or his slight tampering—had handed him.

Because the woman now cuffed to his wrist?

Was Tianna.

A quiet, radiant mystery that had floated through the house like a ghost no one dared to approach.

Ross turned to her, studying her closely now that she was within arm’s reach.

”Are you okay, Tianna?”

Her head turned toward him slowly, and for a moment, she just stared.

Like a deer caught in soft light. Her cheeks were faintly pink, her lips slightly parted.

She gave a small nod.

”Y-yeah,” she whispered, her voice so delicate it barely rose above the noise around them. ”I’m okay.”

Tianna was unlike the other girls in the house. She didn’t fight for screen time.

She didn’t flirt, didn’t scream, didn’t stir up drama.

She had this strange, graceful presence—like a porcelain doll, beautiful and silent, untouched by the chaos that constantly unfolded in the house.

Her hair was a soft, burnished red, tied loosely today, and her skin looked like it had never even seen a blemish.

Nineteen, but with a figure that turned heads every time she walked by—curves in all the right places, wrapped in quiet dignity.

Ross had noticed her from the start.

She was always around, yet never truly involved.

She stayed on the sidelines, smiled when spoken to, listened more than she talked.

Most of the guys flirted with her but she shooed them all away.

Ross saw something that excited him with her.

And now, with the steel cuff linking them together, he had the perfect opportunity to break through her shell.

”Good,” he said with a calm smile. ”Let me know if anything’s uncomfortable, alright? We’re stuck together, might as well make it easy.”

Tianna nodded again, this time glancing briefly at their joined wrists, the metal link between them gleaming under the overhead lights.

She didn’t seem tense—just unsure.

As if she’d never been this close to someone like him before.

He could feel her pulse faintly against his skin. She was nervous.

But not afraid.

He leaned a little closer, voice dropping to a more intimate tone. ”I’ll take care of you.”

Her breath hitched, and though she said nothing, her face turned a deeper shade of red.

She glanced away quickly, pretending to adjust her sleeve, but Ross caught the way her lips curled into a tiny smile.

A real one.

From across the room, Ross felt a flicker of a gaze on him—Heaven.

She stood with her partner, another woman, casually talking.

But her eyes had found him. For a second, just a flash, their eyes met.

Ross gave her a calm look, unreadable.

Heaven winked at him, then turned away without a word.

She knew that this was only a temporary separation.
