Evil MC's NTR Harem

Chapter 459 Straw

Robert, ever the drinker, indulged heavily, downing glass after glass of fine whiskey until his face turned a deep shade of red.

By the time midnight rolled around, he was completely knocked out.

”Damn it, Dad,” Hazel sighed, watching as Robert slumped back in his chair, snoring loudly.

Ross chuckled, shaking his head. ”Iʼll take him to his room.” With ease, he lifted Robert to his feet, slinging one of the older manʼs arms over his shoulder. ”He always does this, doesnʼt he?”

Trinity sighed. ”Every damn time.”

Ross helped Robert upstairs, settling him into one of the guest rooms before calling it a night. The house gradually quieted down, with most of the guests retreating to their rooms.

Trinity, too, was about to turn in when she suddenly paused, pressing a hand to her throat.

”Iʼm thirsty,” she murmured to herself.

She exhaled in frustration. ”I shouldʼve grabbed some bottled water earlier.”

Crossing the room, she pulled open the mini-fridge in hopes of finding something to drink—only to be met with disappointment. The small refrigerator was packed with expensive bottles of wine, whiskey, and champagne… but not a single bottle of water.

She clicked her tongue. ”Of course.”

With no other choice, she wrapped a robe around herself and quietly made her way downstairs, careful not to wake anyone. The halls were dimly lit, the silence of the night settling over the mansion.

As she reached the kitchen, however, she suddenly stopped in her tracks.

Her breath hitched.

For a moment, she thought her eyes were playing tricks on her. But no—what she was seeing was very real.

There, under the soft glow of the moonlight filtering through the large windows, stood a figure.

Ross.

He was shirtless, his muscular frame illuminated by the faint silver light. His chiseled features remained unreadable as he leaned against the counter, sipping from a glass of dark liquor. The air around him felt thick—heavy with something unspoken.

Trinityʼs heartbeat quickened.

She hadnʼt expected to see him here.

More importantly, she hadnʼt expected the wave of emotions that crashed over her at the mere sight of him.

Years had passed since that fateful night—the night she had crossed an unforgivable line. And yet, standing here now, alone with him in the quiet of the house, it felt as though no time had passed at all.

Ross turned his head slightly, his piercing gaze locking onto hers.

Neither of them spoke.

The air between them grew charged, an unspoken tension lingering in the silence.

And then, with deliberate slowness, Ross took another sip of his drink before setting the glass down.

”You shouldnʼt be wandering around so late, Trinity,” he finally said, his voice deep, smooth—dangerous.

Trinity swallowed hard.

She had come downstairs for water.

But suddenly, thirst was the least of her concerns.

Still she had to make something on why she was here. The truth helps all the time.

”I was thirsty,” Trinity murmured, but even as she spoke, her mind was far from water. Continue your adventure with My Virtual Library Empire

Her eyes remained locked on Ross—on the sculpted muscles of his chest, the powerful arms that carried strength effortlessly, and the sheer presence that seemed to dominate the space around him. She swallowed hard, feeling a heat build deep within her, spreading like wildfire through her veins.

Ross had never changed.

His face was still the same—perhaps not strikingly handsome in the conventional sense—but there was something about him, something irresistible. It wasnʼt just his looks.

It was his presence, the confidence he carried, the way he stood, moved, and even breathed. The raw masculinity, the undeniable allure—every part of him radiated power.

And that power was intoxicating.

Trinityʼs body betrayed her. Even without him doing anything, just the memory of what had happened between them made her breath hitch. Her lips tingled, recalling the sensation of his touch.

Her thighs pressed together instinctively, warmth pooling between them as flashes of the past filled her mind.

The way he had taken her—made love to her—even when he wasnʼt fully aware of the act…

She shivered.

And she smiled.

A genuine, beautiful smile curved her lips before she could stop it.

Ross smirked slightly. ”Water coming right up.”

He turned and grabbed a four-pack of bottled water from the counter, lifting it effortlessly. His toned arms flexed under the dim light of the kitchen, drawing Trinityʼs gaze like a magnet.

She forced herself to look away.

”I can just take one bottle, Ross. Thereʼs no need to carry all of that,” she said, her voice quieter than before.

”Nope, I insist.” Ross chuckled, his voice smooth, rich—dangerous. ”Drinking lots of water is good for your health, and I need you to stay beautiful for as long as possible.”

Trinity blinked. ”W-What?”

Rossʼs smirk widened slightly. ”Alistair seems to have a little crush on you. Heʼd be heartbroken if his ʼgoddessʼ didnʼt stay young forever.”

Trinityʼs face burned.

Did Ross just call her beautiful?

Her heart pounded, her thoughts in a daze. It had been years since she had last stood this close to him, years since they had spoken alone like this.

Yet, here he was, teasing her effortlessly, as if nothing had changed.

And she—she felt like a foolish young girl again, blushing over a simple compliment.

She hesitated for a moment, but then she followed him up the stairs, her eyes trailing the way his muscles shifted as he carried the water. Every movement was fluid, controlled, powerful.

God, it was unfair how effortlessly attractive he was.

By the time they reached her room, Robert was already fast asleep, snoring softly under the blankets.

”You can just put them in the corner, Ross. Iʼll arrange them in the morning,” Trinity said, her voice quieter now, laced with something she wasnʼt sure she wanted to acknowledge.

Ross nodded and did as she asked, setting the water down.

Then he turned—

And he walked straight into her.

Trinity hadnʼt realized how close she had been standing.

Their bodies collided, her soft curves pressing against his firm chest.
