Eternal Thief

Ace was again astounded when Pixy confirmed his doubt by directly replying to Moira, and he again wondered just how many more secrets the mischievous true spirit was hiding from him.

On the other hand, Moira was startled before replying belligerently, “I don’t care who you are, but spying on someone’s conversation is rude!”

“Hehe~ how fiery,” Pixy giggled playfully as if not bothered by Moira’s impertinence, as if she didn’t even hear it, “But I like it!”

“YOU…you are irreverent!” Moira berated in a cold tone, making it clear that she didn’t like the impish true spirit at all.

Ace was speechless as he never thought Pixy could make Moira so aggressive, not to mention he had never seen the taciturn talk like this before.

But he absolutely can’t let these two form a grudge against each other, especially because they both were irreplaceable.

“Alright Pixy, don’t be rude to Moira!” Ace sternly berated Pixy since it was indeed Pixy’s fault for suddenly interrupting their conversation and also not revealing about this spy ability.

“Alright, alright, I’ll listen to you since I’m very obedient.” Pixy’s voice instantly turned gentle and acquiescent.

But Ace sneered, not buying the act as he was already quite aware of Pixy’s mischievous personality.

Furthermore, Pixy suddenly showing herself to Moira and intruding like this amidst their conversation didn’t mean she was just being socialist or wanting to make friends with Moira.

After all, if Pixy really wants to be acquainted with Moira, with Pixy’s abilities, she can freely enter Ace’s inner world and approach Moira instead of exposing her like this, and even offering Moira.

At this moment, Ace’s eyes flashed with guile, “Moira, I’ll teach Pixy a lesson later for her rudeness. But right now, I think we should hear Pixy as I’m really sure that she’s interested in Transcendent Void Obsidian, right Pixy?”

“What? She also wants Transcendent Void Obsidian?” Moira sounded alarmed, as basically, the Transcendent Void Obsidian was a crucial material for repair.

If it were for Ace’s sake, she wouldn’t even hesitate to give up on it, but since Pixy hadn’t left a good impression on her by spying on her conversation with Ace, and from Ace’s words, Pixy also seemed to be conspiring to get it instead of requesting it, Moira would absolutely not give it away!

“Hey, hey, hey~, he said I’m ’interested’ in it, not ’wants’ it!” Pixy instantly jumped to correct Moira, while she didn’t deny Ace’s assumption either.

But Ace still didn’t completely believe her because if Pixy was interested in something, it couldn’t be just pure curiosity, and knowing her unbridled, she might secretly use it later when Ace wasn’t paying attention.

Still, Ace believes that Pixy won’t go that far because using thief points secretly and taking important materials without asking were two different concepts; he still couldn’t help but think this way.

“Let me make one thing clear…” Ace sternly declared, “…unless it’s something ridiculously important, I won’t give you the Transcendent Void Obsidian, for this belonged to Moira as she found it herself. If I encountered another one, I’ll gladly give you next time as long as you can give me a proper explanation.”

“What the…?” Pixy sounded flabbergasted as she annoyingly retorted, “For the last time, I don’t want your Transcendent Void Obsidian! Although it’s a rare Transcendent Grade-10 natural and very hard to form, I don’t need it!”

“Grade-10? A forbidden grade natural treasure of Transcendent Grade!” Ace was shocked when Pixy unknowingly or deliberately revealed the actual grade of the Transcendent Void Obsidian.

The system only gave Ace the list of materials required to repair Moira, and Moira seemed to have an innate attraction to those materials, so he never really knew their true grades until he found them or the system revealed them through their names.

This time, except for the Knowledge of Astral Stele of Mortal Ascension Heaven, every other material seemed to be Transcendent Grade, but not their exact ranking within the Transcendent Grade. Not to mention, Ace thought he would only encounter them after ascending the Mortal Ascension Heaven.

However, not only did he unexpectedly find one of the Transcendent Grade natural treasures in the Abyss of Wandering Soul, but it turned out to be a Forbidden Grade natural treasure as well, which made its appearance here even more shocking and unbelievable.

’Just what is the background of the Undead Cradle?’ Ace thought with a solemn expression.

“Hehe, well, calling it ’Forbidden Grade’ won’t be wrong because this grade meant perfection and perfection meant catastrophe!” Pixy playfully yet profoundly stated with a hint of creepy coldness that went unnoticed by Ace or Moira.

“Then what exactly did you want? I would never believe you really want to have a conversation with us about treasures.” Ace inquired as he instinctively felt that this matter related to the Transcendent Void Obsidian was going to become more complicated.

“Geez, what do you take me for? I really want to make friends with Moira here, since it’s pretty boring watching those little brats running around the Thief’s Space all day long. Only an Eternal Provenance Treasure is barely qualified to be my friend! Hmph!” Pixy arrogantly stated matter-of-factly.

Dark lines appeared on Ace’s forehead as he frowned deeply and also felt slightly amused when Pixy mentioned ’brats’ because she was talking about Cyrus’s little group.

“Barely qualified?!” Moira’s cold voice filled with passive anger, “If that’s the case, then you’re not qualified to be my acquaintance.”

“Hehehe~ now don’t be aggressive, just wait, I’ll personally come and visit you soon. Right now, I’m teaching these brats a lesson for eating spirit herbs from my garden!” Pixy still didn’t seem to be offended.

“Learn some manners first!” Moira sounded really exasperated right now.

“Wait? What are you doing exactly?” Ace was suddenly alerted and wanted to see the thief’s space right now.

“Ahem, don’t worry.” Pixy quickly spoke as she changed the topic, “Don’t distract yourself with these small matters because you have a great opportunity to not only satisfy the Eternal Provenance Treasure but also help yourself!”
