Essence Devouring Art

Everything that exists, persists.

Before one can truly grow and become independent,

it is inevitable to imitate one’s predecessors.

The Primordial Magnetism Path was born from the Primordial Path, so it naturally followed the developmental path of its predecessor.

A Dao’s scale is measured by its tribulations!

If a Great Dao were also a Cultivator,

then the current Primordial Path would possess the cultivation of Five Tribulations!

One Tribulation, the Second Tribulation, Three Tribulations...

From non-existence to existence, from existence to proliferation, from proliferation to flourishing...

With every tribulation that passed,

the Primordial Path would grow, and its civilization would always be expanding towards a greater scale!

Primordial Domain.

It seemed nothing was unknown to Wu Dao.

Effortlessly,

he grasped the essence of a Great Dao’s growth.

In other words,

for the Essence Devouring Art to step into the Myriad Things stage, it needed to break through the Initial Tribulation and use the Primordial Magnetism Path to command the Dao of all things!

HUMMM~

The moment that thought formed in Wu Dao’s mind,

within the desolate, empty Chaos, countless conscious entities like him were born, resembling a series of Tree Diagrams.

However,

the apex of these Tree Diagrams

was not the Primordial Magnetism Path.

Fate, Karma, Reincarnation, Time, Space, Life and Death, Light and Darkness...

The Great Dao gives birth to all things, and all things are the Dao!

Every Tree Diagram was a Dao just like Primordial Magnetism, and also a candidate in reserve for the Great Dao. Only the final victor would be qualified to become the Great Dao that ruled over everything.

HUMMM—

In an instant, without a sound or a stir,

each Tree Diagram seemed to understand its mission and began to chaotically and autonomously devour the surrounding Tree Diagrams.

A struggle where the big devoured the small, and the small were devoured.

The struggle to claim the Dao Fruit began to unfold within the Chaos.

Wu Dao made his move.

His Primordial Magnetic Dao was entwined with thirty million veins of creation, far stronger than the other, simpler Tree Diagrams!

He could easily devour the surrounding Tree Diagrams, strengthening his Primordial Magnetic Dao Source and spawning new branches of creation.

But there were too many Daos in the Chaos.

Wu Dao was soon besieged, unable to deal with them all, nor could he stop the other Tree Diagrams from growing.

Moreover, some Tree Diagrams were as strong as he was. Opponents of equal strength soon emerged around him, and they began to fight in a mad frenzy.

Wu Dao knew.

He absolutely could not lose!

If he lost,

everything he was would be inherited and replaced by the victor. He would no longer be himself—no different from being dead!

’Kill! I’ll devour you all!!’

In the primordial Chaos, there was no time or space.

Wu Dao fought until he went mad, transforming into a primeval Fierce Beast. His Primordial Magnetic Dao Source opened its great maw, its branches turning into tentacles to capture prey. His consciousness was filled with only the urge to kill and devour.

He was constantly besieged, yet he also took part in besieging others!

Pain did not exist.

Injury manifested as the wearing down of his consciousness. With every bite taken from him, Wu Dao’s consciousness would weaken by a fraction.

Conversely,

by devouring a Tree Diagram,

his consciousness would grow strong again.

In other words,

it was either die or grow stronger!

There was no third option!

However,

Wu Dao was well aware.

He didn’t have much time in the outside world.

The suppressive power of the Great Dao would grow stronger and stronger.

If the Star Mother failed to protect the Primordial Particle, once it was fully assimilated, he would be assimilated into the Primordial Path even if he won!

This made Wu Dao even more frantic!

’Come and get me, all of you! Hurry up!!’

He let out a silent, primitive, and provocative roar.

His three thousand branch-tentacles were not satisfied with his current enemies. They extended toward other battlefields, attracting those ’big guys’ to come and besiege him!

HUMMMMM—

Wu Dao got his wish.

The Primordial Magnetism Tree Diagram was soon torn to shreds. His consciousness flickered like a high-frequency strobe light, frantically dancing on the line between life and death!

’Hahaha, now this is a rush!!’

Instead of panicking, Wu Dao was delighted. His chaotic consciousness was filled with the violent madness of a desperado.

He paid no mind to his injuries,

becoming an incarnation of a meat grinder, engaging in a wild, domineering, and insane battle with the big shots around him. His tentacles were completely tangled into an indescribable mass of lines, making it impossible to tell one from another.

HUM!

In the end,

the indescribable ball of lines contracted.

Wu Dao had won. His Primordial Magnetic Dao Source exploded in size, growing into a torrent, a behemoth within the Chaos.

He no longer needed to act.

The weaker Tree Diagrams were drawn to him and swallowed whole like plankton.

Wherever he passed, no other Dao survived.

After a series of intense battles, he gradually became the sole torrent in the Chaos.

HUM!

But just then,

the Chaos trembled and rustled. From its core, three boundless wheels of Dao Source arose—

Essence, Qi, and Spirit!

The three great Extraordinary Basic Powers!

The ultimate bosses among all things and all Daos!

To control Essence, Qi, and Spirit was to control the main framework, the very spine of the Great Dao. The Primordial Magnetism Path would become the final victor!

’My own Essence, Qi, and Spirit should naturally submit to me! Kill!!’

Wu Dao felt no fear.

In this moment of life and death,

he wasn’t allowed to feel fear!

Because,

his consciousness was rapidly diminishing!

Devouring more Tree Diagrams couldn’t stop it, which proved that the assimilation of the Primordial Particle in the outside world had reached a dangerous point!

The Star Mother’s core duty

was to protect his life.

If it came to that,

the Star Mother would definitely ring the Extreme Dao Bell to suppress the assimilating Primordial Particle. Once the Extreme Dao Bell rang, he would become a living target for the All Heavens!

But...

The power of the three great Extraordinary Basic Powers of Essence, Qi, and Spirit was beyond Wu Dao’s imagination!

A single tentacle-branch swung over.

It shattered his Tree Diagram, disintegrated his Primordial Magnetic Dao Source, and nearly caused his consciousness to die on the spot!

Wu Dao realized.

He couldn’t fight them with brute force!

There were still many free-floating, unabsorbed Tree Diagrams around the three great basic Extraordinary Dao Sources!

This was a game of Agar.io!

He needed to keep getting bigger!

And so,

Wu Dao steered his Primordial Magnetism Tree Diagram, racing precariously through the siege of tentacles from the three great basic Extraordinary Dao Sources, frantically devouring the weaker Tree Diagrams to increase his own mass.

The Essence, Qi, and Spirit Dao Sources within his Primordial Magnetism Tree Diagram were also capturing the small tentacles of the three great Dao Sources, turning them into food and continuously growing larger.
