Esper Harem in the Apocalypse

Chapter 559 Rias Meets The Girls

It had been weeks since Rudy met Rias, and he had told Jessica, Rebecca, and Elena about her. Of course, he left out most of the details and told them that she was a friend.

”Is this the girl you talked about?” Rebecca asked.

”Yes.”

Rebecca stared at Rias for a few seconds and said, ”She has weird hair.”

”Donʼt say that to a guest.”

”Why are you two standing there? Come inside.” Rebecca invited.

”About that…” Rudy glanced at Rias and thought, ʼRias canʼt enter without the landlordʼs permission? I mean, thatʼs stupid, honestly. The house may belong to the landlord, but shouldnʼt she get the permission of the people who live here?

Or am I missing something? I never knew about this permission thing. But I think I have read it somewhere but never considered it to be true. When I brought the vampire gang to the human world at Reinaʼs place, Reina had invited them to enter her office.

That was a type of permission. And the house I made for the vampire gang was built for them, so they didnʼt need permission to enter? Well, whatever. Letʼs focus on the current problem. I can just teleport her inside, and the problem would be solved.ʼ

Rias tried to enter the house once again, and surprisingly she was able to without being stopped by an invisible force.

”Oh…”

ʼHmm? How is that possible?ʼ Rudy wondered.

”Uhm, Rebecca,” Rudy called out to her.

”What?”

”Who is the owner of this house?”

”That would be my father? But in his absence, that would be me.”

”Wait, so this place is not a rental?”

”No. My father said that he grew up in this place.”

”I see.”

ʼSo why the fuck are we paying rent in 2008?! Did mom sell the place for money or something?ʼ

Rudy and Rias entered the living room and met Jessica, who was pouting on the couch for some reason.

Rudy poked Jessicaʼs cheek and said, ”You are still pouting ever since I left?”

”Hmph!” Jessica didnʼt respond and turned her face to the side.

”You know, if you keep pouting, your cheeks will become loose, and you will get wrinkles.”

”You are lying~! Like you always do~”

SIGH!

”Can I ask whatʼs going on and who are these kids?” Rias asked Rudy.

”Oh, right.” Rudy pointed his finger at Rebecca and said, ”She is Rebecca. And this little brat is Jessica. You already met her that night.”

”I am not a brat!”

”You are acting like one. I think I have spoiled you a little too much that now you have started to talk back to me and make demands,” Rudy remarked.

”But we havenʼt gone out for a picnic in weeks! You are always busy with Miss Elena and this new girl!” Jesicca refuted.

”I told you we would go next weekend. And we always go to the same places and do the same thing. Itʼs no fun, is it?” Rudy asked curiously.

”It is!”

SIGH!

Rudy pinched Jessicaʼs cheek gently and said, ”Okay. We will go somewhere later today. Happy?”

Jessica nodded and said, ”I want ice cream.”

”Yeah, yeah. I will get you one.”

Rudy glanced at Rebecca and saw her staring at him.

”I will also get you one.”

”I want ice cream too!” Rias quipped.

”Great. I will buy a family pack.”

A while later, Rias nudged Rudy and asked in a whisper, ”Why did you bring me here?”

”So you can come here whenever you want and donʼt feel lonely in that house.”

”I see. And who are these kids? Your siblings?” she asked curiously.

”Letʼs assume that. Currently, I am acting as their guardian.”

”Hmm~” Rias hummed in amusement and stared at Rebecca and Jessica.

RING~ RING!

Rudyʼs phone rang, and he knew who had called him; it was Elena.

”I will be right back. You stay here, okay?”

Rias nodded and sat beside Jessica while Rudy left the house to go to Elenaʼs house.

Rudy brought Rias to the house because she wonʼt feel lonely at her home, but there was one more reason. When Rias met Rebecca in the 2008 timeline, Rebecca had asked her, ʼHave I seen you before?ʼ

However, Rudy wasnʼt aware of that as he wasnʼt present there. But, when Rias met Angelica for the first time, she asked, ʼHave we met before?ʼ

That was undoubtedly a weird thing to come out of Riasʼ mouth as it was obviously her first time seeing Angelica. But she had already seen her as Jessica in the 1989 timeline.

Rudy realized that and was convinced that Rias and Jessica were supposed to meet in this timeline.

Everything made sense now.

Rudy teleported to Elenaʼs house to pick her up and then teleported back in front of the house. He took her inside the house to meet Rias.

When Elena entered the living room, her gaze automatically fell on Rias, and Rias turned to Elena. They both stared at each other until Rudy interrupted them.

”Rias, do you want something to eat?”

”Ice cream,” she nodded.

”You will get ice cream after lunch.”

Rudy had already told Rias about everything except that he was the Lord. However, Elena was unaware of a few things. No, he wasnʼt trying to hide it from Elena or keep her in the dark, but he thought it would be best if she showed her everything instead of telling her.

”Well, itʼs past 11, so letʼs make dinner,” Rudy said. He turned to Rebecca and asked, ”Will you help me?”

Rebecca nodded and said, ”You also promised me that you would teach me how to cook new dishes.”

”Yes…”

Rudy wasnʼt sure if he should teach Rebecca the dishes that didnʼt exist in 1989.

ʼWouldnʼt that create a paradox or something? I know nothing about time travel, and I was never interested in it in my past life because it sounded nonsense. But as they say, some words come back to bite, and they bite hard and deep.ʼ

Rudy and Rebecca went to the kitchen and started making food for dinner.
