Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 501: Chapter 226: Beehive Incident, Lin Ye Is Dead

The forty-eighth year of Longyou, April 15th

The day of the scheduled alliance, the unsuspecting Hive Camp is undergoing a tremendous upheaval.

Inside the No.21 Channel.

”Why are there so many of these Zhaoyang bastards? Cough, cough, cough!”

”Cough, brothers, we must not let them break through, kill!”

”We can’t hold them, fall back, fall back, only the main zone offers hope.”

”We can’t retreat, the No.21 Channel leads straight to the main zone, we can’t fall back.”

”Keep fighting, even in death, we must hold them. The second leader and the captain are setting up defenses in the main zone, buy them more time.”

”If we let Zhaoyang destroy us, we won’t face a good end. Brothers, don’t retreat, hold out with me a while longer, hold out even if it means death.”

.........

In the underground space of the Beehive, many channels are filled with thick smoke, amid which sounds of slaughter, fury, and roars can be heard. The ground is already littered with countless corpses; limbs and severed arms are all over, a horrific sight.

Meanwhile, Hive and Zhaoyang forces are engaged in fierce battles in narrow channels. From the ground situation and the balanced confrontation, it is evident this has been going on for a long time.

Bang...

The stone wall on the left side of the channel area suddenly exploded, creating a large hole. Dense smoke rushed in, and a burly black silhouette slowly emerged from it.

”Following Zhaoyang wasn’t enough, you had to be dogs for Long Mountain, stubborn fools! Brothers, the last channel is through, and we can reach the Hive Main Zone. Follow me and charge!”

The man, holding a black long staff, spoke with anger in his voice, and before he finished, he charged forward into the channel.

The Hive elites along the way rushed forward bravely to block him, but they were too weak. Before they could reach him, they were crushed into pulp by the long staff, and in severe cases, turned into fogs of blood that stuck to the channel walls.

”Cold Resistance Level, it’s a Cold Resistance Level expert!”

”Weren’t there supposed to be only three? No.7, No.11, No.18, one in each channel, how did another one appear here?”

”We can’t hold it, run, run...”

The Hive forces were quick to react, realizing the burly man was a Cold Resistance Level expert, they immediately retreated to the rear.

But the power of a Cold Resistance Level expert was simply overwhelming.

Moreover, the Zhaoyang Cold Resistance Level was filled with killing intent.

As he sprinted, he swung his long staff swiftly, the dense shadow of the staff seemed to fill the entire channel. Any Hive Guard touched or encountered it died instantly, making the already gruesome channel even more bloody.

”Hou Ying, stop playing, quickly lead people to the main zone, if we don’t take the Hive after losing so many, we won’t have face to go back to see the leader.”

Suddenly a voice came from a side passage, and the burly man, who had been slaughtering wildly, stopped his staff immediately. Seeing only six or seven remaining figures escaping, a cruel smile appeared on his face.

”Got it, brothers, follow me!”

Hou Ying shouted solemnly. Dozens of fully armed figures emerged from the smoke behind and followed him towards the end of the channel.

......

In the main zone of the Hive, thousands were fully armed and on high alert behind the opened iron gate. As people fled back from the No.1 channel outside the iron gate, the crowd’s expressions grew increasingly grave.

Suddenly, Chen Yingba, covered in bruises and holding a large blade, appeared from the end of the No.1 channel. Only a dozen people remained by his side, all rushing frantically towards the iron gate.

”The captain is back, something seems wrong!”

”Something’s off, there’s another wave behind him.”

”It’s Wang Long who was guarding the No.21 channel. Wasn’t there no Cold Resistance Level over there, how did he fail to hold it?”

Those behind the iron gate saw Chen Yingba’s battered state and felt a jolt in their hearts. At the same time, they spotted about six or seven people escaping behind him, and someone who recognized Wang Long immediately raised questions.

Chen Yingba, who was fleeing wildly, noticed Wang Long and his group behind him and immediately slowed down, angrily questioning: ”Wang Long, how dare you leave your post? Did you let them through the No.21 Channel?”

The leader, Wang Long, with a look of panic, immediately replied: ”Captain, there’s a Cold Resistance Level expert, we can’t hold them, everyone was killed; only six of us escaped.”

Chen Yingba’s expression turned furious instantly, but seeing Wang Long’s panic looked genuine, he suppressed his anger and inquired:

”No.7 was Hou Ming, No.11 was Lin Ye, No.18 was Hou Bing. Zhaoyang only brought three Cold Resistance Levels, who did you encounter?”

Wang Long immediately answered: ”I think it was called Hou Ying.”

Realizing that Wang Long was not lying, Chen Yingba’s face was instantly filled with shock.

”Four Cold Resistance Levels, they actually sent four Cold Resistance Levels! They’re determined to destroy my Hive, curse that dogspawn Hou Hu!”

Chen Yingba cursed aloud, but his expression was already one of panic.

He looked at his body full of wounds, remembering how he was nearly killed by the joint efforts of Hou Ming and Lin Ye just moments ago, and fear still lingered in his heart.

Two days ago, on April 13th, just after nightfall, word of an enemy attack had arrived. He initially didn’t react, thinking it was Cold Beasts accidentally entering the underground channels, so he only sent a few Hunting Teams to investigate.

But the developments completely went beyond his control.

It wasn’t Cold Beasts; instead, it was the large forces from the Zhaoyang Camp.

Not only that, but the Zhaoyang people were evidently very familiar with the layout of the Hive channels; as soon as they found the entrance, they headed straight for the channels No.7, No.11, No.18, and No.21.
