279: Chapter 159: Blood and Flesh Wall, The Leader Hasn’t Broken Through Yet?

“Lin Wan, Shi Lu, gather all the children in the main hall on the second floor.”

“Shi Ping, take some people and move the furnace to the third floor.

Light a pile of ordinary coal stones for heating, but be ready to extinguish the furnace’s fire whenever necessary.”

“The rest of the Earth-digging Realm, go to the Blacksmith Room and grab bows and big knives.

Each person should also take a piece of Solidified Fire Oil and follow me to the third floor.

Additionally, ten more people, move all the Iron Arrows to the third floor.”

“All Logging Realm in the camp, except those with special tasks, take a Five-stone Bow and a piece of Solidified Fire Oil, and head to the first floor.

Mu Dong, lead them and instruct them on what to do!”

“What are you waiting for?

The beast tide is coming, hurry up!”

Xia Chuan descended to the second floor, without bothering to explain to everyone, he issued four orders.

Seeing that some were still in a daze, he shouted loudly.

The beast tide is here!

Thud…Thud…Thud…

The tremors on the ground continued, and everyone quickly snapped out of it.

Those whose names were called had their expressions change dramatically and immediately turned to action.

“All children, gather here with me.

Xiao Lu, help me hold Yue Yun.

I’ll bring the other sisters downstairs to bring up children from the first and third floors.”

“Alright, Sister Wan.”

Lin Wan and Shi Lu were already surrounded by a number of adult women, mostly family members of the Hunting Team, and a few had babies in their arms.

Seeing Lin Wan even handing over her own child, they followed suit, passing their babies to people beside Shi Lu.

Some followed Lin Wan downstairs, while most started searching and informing in the rooms on the second floor, and a few went up to the third floor.

The wooden building had residents on all three floors, but the second floor was the most populated, with fewer people living on the first and third floors, thus there were fewer children as well, requiring fewer people to manage.

Meanwhile, Shi Ping was leading people by the central iron chains to lift the Iron Refining Furnace to the third floor;

In front of the Camp Supply Station, Tong Xinglong and Ying Yi began distributing weapons and Solidified Fire Oil.

Earth-digging Realm received Ten-stone Bows and big knives, while Logging Realm received only a Five-stone Bow.

Those who received weapons, the Earth-digging Realm all went to the third floor, while the Logging Realm followed Mu Dong down to the first floor;

As for Xia Chuan, who had issued the orders, he had already led Luo Yuan, Yuan Cheng, and others from the Blacksmith Room to the third floor.

The third floor was already a vacant area, and as Xia Chuan rushed up, he headed straight for the large door at the west corridor.

The three-story wooden building only had a main door on the first floor; on the four sides of the second floor, every ten meters there was a window large enough for two people; while the highest third floor had a three-meter-wide corridor around it.

Xia Chuan didn’t open the door directly but first took out a pair of Beast Skin gloves from his pocket, put them on, then took out a hood to completely cover his face, leaving only his eyes exposed, and put on a Beast Fur hat to cover his entire head tightly.

Finally, he took out a piece of white silk fabric and tied it above his eyes.

Luo Yuan, Yuan Cheng, Zhao Long, and the Earth-digging Realm who followed him to the third floor all followed his example, covering themselves thoroughly.

“It’s daytime now, and as we tried before, this will allow us to stay outside briefly for ten minutes.

We must rotate to the furnace for warmth after ten minutes.

Mu Dong is downstairs, and we have a total of sixty-seven Earth-digging Realm divided into two groups.

I’ll lead one group, while Luo Yuan leads the other.

My group will go out first, Luo Yuan, you keep your group inside to shoot arrows from the shadow, and when it’s time, we’ll switch.”

“Understood!”

With limited time, Xia Chuan quickly finished his words, gestured to everyone, took a deep breath, and slowly opened the wooden door leading to the corridor, looking serious.

Whoosh…

A biting cold wind howled in from outside the door.

Despite everyone being tightly covered, more than half of their bodies shivered involuntarily.

Hiss…

Those further inside only shivered, but those outside started trembling, especially Xia Chuan, who faced the daylight directly, with a layer of white frost quickly forming on the outside of his clothes.

This showed unmistakably as a result of alternating cold and warmth.

Inside the wooden building, the Iron Refining Furnace provided warmth, but outside was a different story.

The cold atmosphere, coupled with the icy sunlight, made Xia Chuan momentarily freeze for three or four breaths.

He clenched his teeth, took an Iron Core Bow from his back, and led everyone to the corridor, looking toward the passage on the west side of the valley through the silk fabric.

Thud…Thud…Thud…

The tremors on the ground grew more intense.

Despite the wooden building being two or three hundred meters from the passage, Xia Chuan and the others could clearly sense the terrifying size of the Cold Beast horde charging toward them.

Boom!

A loud blast erupted at the passage entrance, revealing a three to four-meter diameter hole.

Countless wood chips and stones surged into the valley like a tsunami from the opening.

“Roar…”

The head of a Snow Mane emerged from the hole, its blood-red vertical pupils fixating on the wooden building.

Then it slightly raised its head, seemingly having spotted Xia Chuan and the others on the third floor, its pupils suddenly contracted, followed by even more violent roars and howls.

“Roar…

Roar…

Roar…”

Boom!!!

Another five or six giant impacts came from outside the valley entrance.

The countless stones and wood they piled up before, reinforced countless times, collapsed as if swept away by a flood.

As the crashing sounds echoed, debris flew everywhere, and the nearly fifty-meter-wide passage shattered, leaving nothing to obstruct it.
