Emperor’s Domination

“Not relying on it doesn’t mean not needing it.” Li Qiye said.

“What do you mean?” He asked with a serious expression.

“Which bloodline do you think is the most precious in this world?” Li Qiye asked.

“It’s an amusing topic. If I must pick an answer, it has to be the actual primordial race, that’s the oldest and most precious bloodline. Only the villainous heaven can have a superior bloodline.” He said.

“Unfortunately, they are extinct now.” Li Qiye smiled.

“A shame indeed, such a mighty race worn down by the villainous heaven. Of course, this had to be done from the villainous heaven’s perspective and perhaps for us. Otherwise, we would have no room for growth. Those fellows just had an easier time when it came to rising, just absurdly strong and could get up after falling.” He said.

“Yes, the future wouldn’t be the same if they had been allowed to grow untethered.” Li Qiye said.

“In my opinion, there would be a different high heaven now. They could have devoured him.” He laughed.

“Since they don’t exist anymore, their bloodline does not count.” Li Qiye shook his head.

“If we’re setting them aside, then it has to be Mang, the so-called light of heaven and earth?” He stroked his chin.

“Do you believe it?” Li Qiye smiled.

“About the whole shaking the villainous heaven? Heh, no, Mang didn’t have this ability. If he did, Min Ren couldn’t have killed him.” He smiled.

“It actually happened, which was why it didn’t make sense in logic or timing.” Li Qiye said.

“I wasn’t interested in this matter but they knew, they discussed it during the whole thing with Splendor. Octopus revealed the truth, Heavenfall most likely figured it out, the same for Hidden Immortal who kept a tight lip.” He said.

“Some secrets just become secrets, not purposely buried.” Li Qiye sighed.

“Now with Mang out of the way, then the divine beasts are the next in line? Heh, they are proud of their bloodline and always claim to be the noblest. That’s why they don’t interact with others lest this stain their bloodline. Hehe, who cares about these ugly creatures?” He said.

“Some certainly care about their bloodline.” Li Qiye said.

“Who?” He asked.

Li Qiye only gazed into the distance with a smirk.

“Hidden Immortal. Only this old pervert would do something like this.” He understood.

“Why do you hate him so much when he has never offended you?” Li Qiye asked.

“Hah, first, how he hid during Heavenpit. Second, given how elusive he was over the years, he must have done some perverted things.” He said.

“Can anyone good become a celestial immortal?” Li Qiye smiled.

“Nonsense, I am right here, pure and resplendent.” He arched his chest.

“Pure enough to bury Ruin for the sake of creating Heaven Pit? Trillions and trillions of beings disappeared because of your group.” Li Qiye said.

“...” He smiled wryly: “I didn’t do it, I was just part of the fun.”

Li Qiye said nothing while staring at the sky.

“Sir, when will you make your move?” He asked.

“Not too far from now. Even if I can wait, others might not be able to.” Li Qiye said.

“Then you best be prepared. Others might fight you in the open but the old man, Hidden Immortal, will try to ambush you with a fatal blow, I can bet everything on it.” He said.

“A fatal blow? I can’t wait to see it.” Li Qiye smiled.

“Don’t underestimate this blow, it will happen when you least expect it. Ordinary means can’t kill you but he has something special.” He said.

“Special?” Li Qiye smiled.

“Maternal power.” He had a solemn expression.

“Yes.” Li Qiye also became serious.

“You have heard of it before?” He asked.

“How much do you know?” Li Qiye replied.

“Almost nothing.” He shrugged: “I only cultivate my own power without borrowing external forces, I have the source of all dao, no need to seek anything else.”

“True.” Li Qiye agreed.

“But I must say, this maternal power is something else, potentially the strongest thing.” He continued.

“You’ve seen it?” Li Qiye asked.

“No, the old man brought it up and knew how to control it. However, Octopus disagreed since it might lead to the villainous heaven descending with its true body. That would be too much for our grand momentum. The goal was to kill the enforcer first. So you know more about it?” He said.

“A little.” Li Qiye smiled.

“Damn, how come I’m the only one who knows nothing? Am I the only one who focus on the self?” He cursed.

“Your belief isn’t strong, external powers are just that. Of course, one day, there is the letting go of internal powers as well.” Li Qiye said.

“At that stage, does that mean forgetting everything?” He asked.

“Of course, to sever everything before departing.” Li Qiye said.

“Forgetting everything.” He paused for a moment before speaking: “I like this world because my parents were born in it, and the same for me.”

“Then this world can still make you stay.” Li Qiye said.

“I can’t sever and let go then.” He understood.

“You’re dead anyway. Even if you were to start over, would you repeat the same path?” Li Qiye smiled.

“Heh, that’s true. It will be different for sure, severing whatever I want with unrestrained freedom.” He chuckled.
