Emperor’s Domination

“Where is Xian Shen?” Thunder Emperor focused on the death face but didn’t see anything.

“He is death.” Li Qiye smiled.

“Ah?” She recalled how he planned everything after death, so this answer made sense.

“Look closely.” Li Qiye pointed at the edge separating life and death.

The two looked at the border and saw how strands of death seemed to be encroaching on the face of life.

“Crackl!” Lightning bolts immediately struck the border, ending the encroachment. The strands became liquified and flowed down the pyramid.

As they observed this process, it became clear how the maelstrom was formed – death in liquid form due to the strange tribulation bolts.

Nevertheless, the death side still never gave up and continued to infiltrate the life section. This must have continued for epochs, hoping to bypass the border.

“Are the tribulations attached to the pyramid?” The bear found this astonishing.

Tribulations were calamities and punishments sent by the high heaven. They didn’t appear without a valid reason. The ones seen here could kill immortals.

It looked as if the high heaven had grown bored with this and didn’t bother activating one manually. Thus, it attached tribulations directly to the pyramid to destroy death.

“Isn’t this too stubborn?” Thunder Emperor said.

“Such a firm dao heart.” Bear Immortal remarked.

“Yes, truly resilient, but the person is already dead and has nothing but time. What if it somehow succeeds?” Li Qiye smiled.

“…” The bear thought this situation was similar to his master. The guy was dead with nothing else to do. In the end, he accepted the bear and taught cultivation.

“Is there any chance of success?” Thunder asked.

“If it can enter the life side, then yes, death will be born from life, a true rebirth.” Li Qiye answered.

“So in theory, it’s possible.” She said.

“Of course, the shackles of the high heaven will be broken then.” Li Qiye said: “But this comes with a price like no other.”

“The price of life and death.” The bear said.

“I don’t quite understand.” She said.

“Since he’s dead, the first is impossible, it’s like trying to cook rice without grains.” Li Qiye said.

“What about death? He’s already dead, what other price can there be?” She asked.

“Others will be paying the price.” Li Qiye said.

This made her curious.

The bear answered instead: “It’s simple, overfilling the death section so that death will cross the border. It has to be overwhelming so that the bolts can’t get rid of everything. Once enough death enters the life section, he can rely on that to live again.”

“How many lives would that take?” She asked.

“Maybe one thousand minor worlds and all the lives living in them.” The bear said.

“That would be too cruel.” She shuddered.
