Emperor’s Domination

“I have never forgotten your teachings, Young Noble.” Bear Immortal said.

“Is that why you’re here?” Li Qiye gave him the side eye.

“I wanted to prepare properly by finding a legacy first.” He smiled awkwardly.

“The old man gave you his legacy.” Li Qiye said.

“Yes, but it still belongs to Master, not what I cultivate.” He nodded.

“All immortals would salivate upon seeing his legacy.” Li Qiye smiled.

“Master said the same thing.” He scratched his head.

“I’m sure he would be furious to know that you don’t care for it, he might just break your dog, no, bear head.” Li Qiye joked.

“No, no, Young Noble, that’s not what I think at all.” He became frightened: “I am deeply grateful to receive Master’s love and generosity.”

“I’m just kidding, you’re an ambitious bear who doesn’t want to walk his path.” Li Qiye said.

“I am not sure if I can continue to break through like this.” He said with hesitation.

“You’re not wrong, but remember, many people try their whole life just to become an immortal. This includes the greatest geniuses, they don’t dare to think about the primordial stage.” Li Qiye said.

“Right.” He said: “I am aware that my current achievement is due to your grace and Master’s love.”

“Not the main causes, you are still the reason why.” Li Qiye said: “Their ambition stops at the immortal stage, what is yours?”

“Master often talked about the shore. Although the dao ocean is endless, I still yearn for the shore. As a demon bear, I still remember the joy of cultivation since the beginning.” He said.

“So ambitious, you wish to try as well.” Li Qiye nodded.

“Please don’t laugh, Young Noble, but the truth is, I know that I am only a wild beast compared to Master’s inborn origin. I cannot catch up to him and can only crawl one step at a time.” He said.

“Your assessment is correct.” Li Qiye nodded: “The old man was generous in giving you his legacy. Of course, he’s dead and can’t use it anyway. The problem is that his innate fortunes are far greater than yours. You will need to transform entirely again. Although this legacy can aid in the physical transformation, it won’t sever your karma because it is too strong. It will become your biggest obstacle.”

“I’m thinking too far into the future, I’m just a lowly immortal right now. Nevertheless, I still seek a legacy.” He said.

He was just a grand immortal, not even a golden immortal. On the other hand, his master was a natural-born primordial immortal that had reached the shore. Despite his master’s devouring nature and unsavory past, his master still possessed incredible dao comprehension. Other primordial immortals couldn’t possibly compare.

He had the fortune of living a long time with his master. Although he was far from being an immortal at the time of his departure, he gained impressive Dao insight far beyond that of his peers.

In fact, few could compare in this regard. Nevertheless, he never became arrogant or complacent, not forgetting his humble roots. Thus, he climbed slowly and stably, building a strong foundation.

Anyone else would have become a famous immortal in a short time and left their mark on history. He had something else in mind – becoming a mere immortal was a disgrace to his master. Therefore, he wanted to reach greater heights.

“Success draws near for those who gaze far.” Li Qiye said: “He would have hated you if you were any less.”

“Master always said that I was stupid.” He smiled wryly.

This had a hint of truth because the old man was one of the greatest beings in existence. Thus, the bear was indeed an idiot during the tutelage. Nevertheless, he still patiently taught the bear.

“Although a bastard, he’s a good master.” Li Qiye said: “He didn’t only teach you merit laws and throw treasures your way, he made sure that you would become a principled cultivator. It’s commendable.”

“I dare not forget his education.” He said sentimentally.

“A good master is one thing, but the disciple has to be excellent as well.” Li Qiye shook his head: “The master only shows the door, the disciple has to walk. That’s why one master can have many disciples with varying success.”

“Yes, Young Noble.” He nodded in agreement.

“Is that why you chose to stay in Golden Lamp, for a legacy item?” Li Qiye asked.

“One day as I meditated on the mountain, I saw a phenomenon revealing the fall of an ancient immortal. Something was left here, so I took a look.” He shook his head and said: “I overestimated myself, it’s a good thing you came to save me.”

“Yes, you did, you thought this place couldn’t trap you or your dao heart.” Li Qiye said.

“I’m sorry to have disappointed you, Young Noble.” He lowered his head in shame.

“Don’t be.” Li Qiye said: “Xian Shen is strong, the same for the item. If you didn’t have any greed, you would have been fine. But, you’re obsessed with a legacy item.”

“Right, I wanted to figure out the secret of this place.” He smiled wryly.

He was confident in being unyielding enough to break all desires. This nearly ended with his death.

“I don’t think it’s suitable for you either.” Li Qiye looked down at the water.

“Why is that, Young Noble?” He asked.
