Emperor’s Domination

“Clank!” A dao was split into nine blades, containing nine worlds with gods.

True Emperor Jiu Ning illuminated and replaced space with her worlds, becoming the only true god.

Everyone was suppressed by her sword dao, primal ancestors and heaven-slayers included.

“Heaven Break Variation!” Dugu Yuan made his move, finding the gaps amidst the high heaven.

It pierced through Jiu Ning’s enveloping sword dao, revealing its flaws. Dugu Yuan immediately pressed on, thrusting the blade at her forehead.

“Incredible!” Visceraless couldn’t help but praise. The Dugu Nine Variants found a flaw when there was none.

His sword dao exhausted other dao and revealed mysteries in a split second – a testament to its profundity.

“Calling his sword technique unrivalled under heaven is no exaggeration at all.” Light God, Grand Preceptor, and the others had nothing but praise.

They saw his movement clearly – each thrust was simple yet effective, always precisely hitting the weak spot.

At their level, their merit laws and dao were infinitely close to perfection. Any opening would only appear for a split second; those on the same level couldn’t take advantage of it in time.

However, Dugu Yuan was an exception. Fundamentally, his sword dao could end other affinities – something far more complex than it appeared.

His simplicity caused the opponent’s dao to become simple as well, thus more vulnerable. Most impressive of all, he mastered this and could use it at will.

“It brings joy to watch his swordsmanship.” Grand Preceptor, who had been defeated by him, remarked.

He lost by a single move during the fierce battle but accepted his defeat wholeheartedly. No deep animosity rose as a result. He withdrew from the competition, choosing not to fight to the death.

His cultivation was higher than Dugu Yuan, the same with dao enlightenment. After all, he was far older, being the fourth primal ancestor.

However, Dugu Yuan’s dao countered his each time. His attacks were always nullified, resulting in anxiousness and a loss of confidence. This turned into rage, which further made him careless and prone to mistakes.

In the end, he had a major opening culminating in his defeat. Once he calmed down, he realized his loss was warranted.

“Clank!” Jiu Ning’s nine swords became one to deal with the incoming thrust.

“Nine to one primal dao origin.” The world became smaller as she became one with it while wielding her blade.

She was clearly standing there but gave the impression of vanishing. For those below this realm, they only saw the starry sky.

Her sword dao became one with space as well. Three different entities fused in harmony – herself, her dao, and space.

Thus, her sword domain became omnipresent yet undetectable. Sword energies could come from any side but couldn’t be detected. Defeating her required crushing this spatial dimension.

Dugu Yuan’s expression became serious. He recalled his sword and focused his mind, not daring to strike preemptively. Making the first move would inevitably expose him to this omnipresent sword dao for a fatal blow.

“Marvelous one origin.” Spectators couldn’t help but exclaim in admiration.

It didn’t need to be activated; just its presence alone could protect a world for eras without consuming her vitality and true blood.

However, the stalemate was interrupted by a tidal force flattening everything. They were greatly impacted despite the presence of their sword dao.

Cracks appeared everywhere on Jiu Ning’s all-encompassing dao, revealing significant openings. Dugu Yuan had the perfect chance to attack but he was also under pressure.

“Attack Break Variation.” He met it directly.

Alas, the power disparity was considerable. Although he struck its weakness, absolute power still overwhelmed and forced him back.
