Emperor’s Domination

The next inheritor was Ten-realm Emperor once he became a primal ancestor. Tenth-gen Chen would pass everything down to him then.

He would cease to be Ten-realm Emperor, gaining the title of Eleventh-gen Chen instead.

This was the reason why he was so confident in his success. After all, the moment he was born, he was destined to become a primal ancestor. He was placed in the clan’s special pond after birth, strengthening his foundation.

This infused a special bloodline into him. It wielded the power of the ancestors, aiding his cultivation speed. In terms of actual age, he was younger than Alch-deer Emperor.

It didn’t take him long to catch up and surpass other emperors due to his innate and circumstantial advantages.

No one doubted his ability to become a primal ancestor. The same confidence was placed in all the previous leaders of the Chen.

His speed in getting through the imperial realm made Crimson Virtue’s group know the state of the Chen’s legacy process.

It was rather slow starting with First-gen Chen. Now, the speed had drastically improved. If this continued, they could reach the one-hundredth generation.

However, the other side couldn’t stop the Chen from continuing with this process.

“Ancestor, we are willing to pay any price.” Tenth-gen Chen continued with sincerity. He looked like a father ready to sacrifice everything to save his son.

Hearts grew soft after listening to him. Perhaps Ten-realm should be spared out of consideration for his branch’s contribution. Moreover, his offense wasn’t unforgivable and Desolate Frontier needed more primal ancestors.

“Any price?” Li Qiye chuckled.

“Yes, please just tell us what you need, Ancestor, and we will comply.” Tenth-gen Chen bowed his head.

“You think too highly of yourself and your branch or rather, you think too lowly of me. Your branch has nothing worthy of my time.” Li Qiye said.

Everyone froze. The Chen was the strongest branch in Desolate Frontier.

Although their worldly energy and resources had been taken away, they still had plenty of treasures left. However, this made sense because he was a supreme ancestor.

This was the case for their progenitor as well. Furthermore, those of their level could just take whatever they wanted without needing permission.

“I recognize my foolish ego. The Chen will accept all punishments and hope to be forgiven, Ancestor.” Tenth-gen Chen prostrated.

“It’s not hard, just sparing one life. I do have one condition.” Li Qiye spoke.

“Please give us the command, Ancestor.” Tenth-gen Chen saw a glimmer of hope and wanted to grasp it.

“It’s simple, destroy the place of legacy in entirety and I shall forgive past transgressions.” Li Qiye said.

Tenth-gen Chen became frozen, seemingly struck by lightning.

“The legacy?” Everyone thought this demand was unreasonable.

How could the Chen go on without their defining process?

“It’s time.” Solar Monarch told Crimson Virtue.

Desolate Ancestor had warned First-gen Chen before but showed mercy. After her departure, this legacy process accelerated in subsequent generations. Everlasting Jiang and North Kun God were powerless to stop it.

By destroying this process, Tenth-gen Chen would be the last. Was this worth it to save Ten-realm Emperor? Of course not.

As long as that place was still intact, they could groom another inheritor. Without it, Ten-realm being alive was useless.

“The place is our foundation...” Tenth-gen Chen spoke.

“Such a foundation is unneeded.” Li Qiye waved dismissively: “It is humiliating, preserving it with sacrifices. It should not exist in this world, less so here. Desolate Ancestor’s mercy resulted in this ongoing mess.”
