Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Promise with Korra“Heh heh, little brother, we meet again!”

Lin Feng turned around and saw a Floor Merchant standing behind him, having appeared at some unknown time.

“You are…”

“Heh heh, it’s me, Kola! We traded before at Park Chang’s place.”

Kola wasn’t angry that Lin Feng didn’t recognize him; after all, their clothing was all the same. If it weren’t for the slight difference in their voices, it would be impossible to distinguish them.

“I brought a lot of good things today. Want to take a look?”

“Then do you have anything that can smash these ice blocks?”

“Ah, that, I actually brought it!”

Kola pondered for a moment, then said with a surprised tone.

He then rummaged through his backpack and pulled out a black pickaxe.

“A Miner’s Pickaxe from the Dark Mines, it’s very useful! Only 25 gold coins, original price was 50!”

“Ah, this….”

Lin Feng looked at the completely black pickaxe, feeling a bit speechless.

If he had to chip away at it little by little, how much could he dig in the remaining time?

It seemed as if the Floor Merchant noticed the disdain in Lin Feng’s eyes.

The Floor Merchant immediately became indignant.

He scurried on his short legs to a tall ice layer.

“This pickaxe was specially made for those Dark Miners, it’s extremely useful, watch closely!”

The Floor Merchant gripped the pickaxe with both hands, aimed it at the ice layer, and swung down with force.

Boom!

After a loud bang, a perfectly square large hole appeared in the ice layer, and countless ice blocks fell down. The Floor Merchant clapped his hands with satisfaction.

“How about it, can this pickaxe meet your requirements?”

Lin Feng looked at the ordinary black pickaxe in the Floor Merchant’s hand, his jaw almost dropped.

What kind of heaven-defying tool was this again!!

“I’ll buy it! Oh, right, what kind of place is that Dark Mine you mentioned?”

Lin Feng asked curiously.

“Uh, you don’t need to know about that. Thank you, 25 gold coins.”

Kola decisively evaded Lin Feng’s question, then extended his small, cloth-wrapped hand.

If this human in front of him knew that this pickaxe was a mass-produced item, he would probably try to haggle the price down by half again.

No, not a single bit of information can be revealed!

“What else do you have? Let me see.”

“Ah, right, right, right, I almost forgot!”

Kola quickly began pulling things out of his backpack.

A dark purple book, an extinguished torch, a Strength Potion, and a silver goblet.

“These few items are the better ones I picked out. There are also some ordinary quality items, such as iron swords, food, and medicine. Do you want to see them?”

“Oh, no need for those. Just explain what these things are for.”

Lin Feng waved his hand and said. With so many new and interesting items appearing at once, Lin Feng was more interested in these.

“This book is called an Enchantment Book. It can be enchanted onto a cold weapon, allowing it to have the Fire Enchantment effect.”

“This torch, once lit, will not extinguish unless thrown into water. This goblet is more suitable for drunkards; no matter what liquid is poured into it, it will turn into fine wine, and the taste will depend on the liquid poured in.”

“I see. Then I’ll take everything except the torch.”

The torch sounded impressive but was actually very useless, and Lin Feng had something better than a torch: a nuclear lighter!

Not only would it not extinguish, but it was also waterproof!

“Alright, the Enchantment Book is 29 gold coins, the Strength Potion is 3 gold coins, Am’s Goblet is 15 gold coins, and the Dark Miner’s Pickaxe is 25 gold coins, totaling 72 gold coins. You can just give me 70 gold coins!”

Kola had also learned to be smart; he lowered the price himself before Lin Feng could haggle, so Lin Feng would surely be too embarrassed to haggle, ha ha ha!

“I’ll give you 200 gold coins if you do me a favor.”

“Huh?”

Kola looked bewildered.

“You help me collect some valuable treasures, the more expensive the better, and then the next time you trade with me, I’ll buy them all! I have plenty of gold coins here.”

“This… Although I really want to earn this money, our trades are always random, and those precious treasures are not easy to come by. So, I’m not willing to accept this kind of trading method you mentioned.”

Kola said very tactfully, as Lin Feng was considered a big customer.

Treating wealthy customers should be like treating one’s elders.

This was their merchant creed.

“Alright, then forget it. Here are the gold coins, 80 of them, to make it a round number.”

Lin Feng shrugged, then handed the gold coins to Kola.

“This, it seems like too much.”

Kola looked at the extra gold coins in his hand with surprise. Although it was only 8 extra gold coins, in all his years of business, it was the first time a customer had overpaid him.

Before, which customer didn’t exhaust themselves haggling with them, or even robbing them?

Thinking of this, Kola suddenly felt a little touched.

“That trading method you mentioned, I’ll do my best. I hope you’ll be ready with enough gold coins next time we meet.”

After Kola finished speaking, he quickly left.

Watching Kola leave, a smile curved on Lin Feng’s lips.

Heh heh heh, was it that easy to CPU him?
