Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 964: Chapter 964:- Two Minds, One Throne

”Lady Laura!” A beautiful woman in a maid’s outfit entered the living room. Her eyes frantically looked everywhere, looking for that familiar person. In the end, she couldn’t find Lady Laura. Seeing this, she grew sad until her gaze fell on a woman who resembled Lady Laura and was looking at her with a soft, gentle smile.

”Kate, I missed you.” Even their voices were almost the same. Except this voice sounded slightly more mature. But there was no mistaking it. It was her.

This was Lady Laura.

Without wasting a single second, Kate rushed at Athena.

Under everyone’s watch, Kate leapt into Athena’s arms and began sobbing.

The whole time since Laura and Aditya left the Six Continents, Kate has been the most scared. A part of her knew that she might never see her Lady again.

A part of her deeply feared that something might happen to her Lady.

In Laura’s absence, Kate had to pretend that Laura had not gone anywhere and was cultivating in seclusion. She had to manage everything on her own. When she met an obstacle or a blockage, she had no choice but to take Spencer’s suggestion.

It was extremely hard to keep everything under control. She was so cautious that she allowed none of the maids or servants to enter Laura’s bedroom. She sometimes even entered Laura’s bedroom to make everyone feel that Laura was still here, but was busy cultivating and did not want to be disturbed.

And now that Laura was finally back, Kate couldn’t control herself anymore. She was just a maid whose job was to take care of her Lady’s every need. Asking her to manage an Empire was just too much. She felt so stressed and worried about everything.

”There...! There.....!!! I am back now. Everything will be alright.” Athena or Laura patted Kate’s head and gently coaxed her. They didn’t look like master and servant. Instead, they looked like sisters.

”My Lady, can you revert to your Original Appearance?” Kate couldn’t help but ask. She longed to see the old face of her Lady.

”Of course, I can. After we return to the Deep Sea Palace, I will show you.” In her mind, she had some plans. With Athena and Laura running things from the shadows, the whole Deep Sea Palace was about to undergo a huge political and structural change. Athena planned to implement some systems that she had her Dad implement in their Empire before it was destroyed.

[Also, your current Political and Military Strength as the Empress isn’t enough.]- Athena

[I know! I was slowly working on it. I feared that if I did things too rashly, then it might backfire.] - Laura

[We will do things fast and efficiently. Anyone who dares to stand against the Empress won’t be spared.] - Laura agreed with Athena. With Athena, she didn’t need to worry about many things now.

”Kate, how is the repair of the destroyed parts of the Capital going?” Before she left, the Capital was attacked by a giant monster, and as a result, a big part of the Capital was destroyed, along with the deaths of many. While the deaths were unfortunate and cannot be reversed, at least they can move forward by repairing the damage and learning from it.

”The repair work is almost 70% done. In two more weeks, the work should be done.” The Empress was paying from the treasury to fix everything. She did ask nobles and wealthy residents of the Capital to donate money. Almost everyone donated, so the overall burden of the project’s total cost decreased significantly.

”That’s good to know!”

”Did anything major happen around the Empire while I was away?” Athena asked. She had experience in managing the Empire from a very young age, as she and Laura used to come up with smart and innovative ideas to improve many things around their Empire.

Just like Laura, Athena had every quality to be a successful Leader.

”Actually, no! With the increased security around the Capital, even the usual crime rate significantly dropped in the last two weeks.” Athena nodded her head. This was good news.

Kate kept asking Athena many other questions.

She wanted to know how their journey unfolded.

What kind of enemies did her Lady and Aditya face?

How did they spend the night?

What kind of places and people did Her Lady visit and meet?

And then - ”Did he try to do anything to you?” Kate glared at Aditya and asked Athena in a very low tone. But even then, it wasn’t enough. Several people in the room heard the question Kate asked Athena.

Athena’s cheeks changed colour to pink as she remembered what naughty things Aditya did with Laura. Because they were essentially one being, she felt like she was the one who did everything with him.

[But it felt sooo good!] - Laura replied in her head.

[Shut up!] - Athena was embarrassed.

[Don’t be so shy. Soon Aditya will do the same thing to this body.]

[It seems after decades of being apart, you have forgotten how to talk to an elder sister. I will have to teach a lesson when we are alone.]

[Hehe! As if...]

Aditya felt awkward hearing the question. The memories of what he had done with Laura after the trial resurfaced.

This also caused a specific part of his lower body to have a reaction that he was able to hide due to his sitting posture.

Cough...!!!

”Can I get a cup of coffee?” Watson stood up, hearing this.

”Milk Coffee?” He just nodded his head. Watson then left the living room to ask a maid to make Coffee for the Emperor.

Watching this, Alfred looked at Aditya and asked.

”For how long has Sir Watson been in service as His Highness’s butler?” Alfred asked. When Aditya was young, Alfred’s dream was to continue his butler job and be the trusted man of the Young Emperor. He wanted to stand by Aditya’s side just like he did with Aditya’s father and Grandfather.

But now Watson’s position created a kind of awkward position. If Watson was Aditya’s butler, then what was Alfred supposed to do?

”More than 4 years now!”

”Actually, Watson was the Personal Butler of Julia. But when He and Julia came to the Istarin Dynasty to keep an eye on me. And since then, he has been the Butler of the entire Royal Family.”

”I see!”

”Grandpa Watson also served as the Unofficial Prime Minister of the Istarin Empire for almost six months.” Spencer couldn’t help but add. Even now, the Prime Minister still asks for advice and opinions on different matters from Watson.

”Watson is also the Very First Dragonian.”

”I have been meaning to ask! What is a Dragonian?” Alfred has heard this term several times since he met Aditya. There was no doubt the current Exiled Prince was full of mysteries and wonders. But that only made him, Bree, and Mateo more curious about him.

After a quick and short explanation, the reactions of the three made Aditya chuckle. Almost everyone had the same face and reaction upon hearing that he had Divine Dragon Blood, and he could turn races into Half Dragons and humans into Complete Dragons.

”Your Highness, just having Divine Blood is more than enough to qualify you as the rightful Emperor of the Celestial Dragon Empire.” One of the reasons why Aditya was exiled is that he couldn’t awaken his Dragon Blood, which his parents saw as a disgrace. Dragons formed the Celestial Dragon Empire, and each generation of its Emperor was a mighty Dragon themselves.

Because Aditya was exiled on the premise of not being able to awaken his Bloodline, and now that he had Divine Dragon Blood flowing through his veins, he was more than qualified to sit on the throne.

”I don’t think my cousin would want to step down from power.” In Aditya’s memories, Ren has always been gentle, kind and caring. He had the qualities of a Ruler. But it seems that at that time, Ren was only pretending, as people saw his real face only after he became the Emperor.

Hearing this, Alfred calmed down and nodded his head.

Meanwhile, a Certain Vampire Princess was glancing at his neck.

It has been almost two weeks since she drank blood from his neck. At this moment, she wanted to drink his blood more than anything.

’But that would be so embarrassing.’ Lara did not have that much courage.

’Lara, hold yourself.’ She deeply missed him.

”Big sister, is something wrong?” Clara, who sat next to Lara, asked. Day by day, Lara and Clara only got closer. Not only was their age gap only a few years, but also, as a sister-in-law, Lara was one of Clara’s many favourites. Clara viewed Lara as a friend and a sister. She could share things with Lara that she cannot share with her brothers.

”No!”

Clara read Lara’s expression and then grinned as if she understood everything. This grin made Lara uneasy. Despite her age, Clara was a very clever girl. Unlike her brother Leo, who sometimes can be an airhead when it comes to reading the room, Clara wasn’t like that.

”Aditya, I missed you.” Lilith appeared behind him with her arms wrapped around his waist. She hung onto him like a Koala.

”Aunt Lilith, you should control yourself,” Riya said with a smile that looked strained. She was struggling to control her jealousy.

”My dear, first of all, I am your sister. You can call me Big sis.”

”Secondly, you are just jealous because you aren’t bold enough to hug Aditya in front of everyone,” Lilith said with a grin.

That grinning look and the words she spoke made the Goddess of Nature pissed.

”Did I say anything wrong?” Lilith asked with a sly smile.
